RELEASE TOUR – The Curveball by A.M. Williams
Posted by Book Loving Pixies

It’s been thirteen years since Luke laid eyes on Audrey Wallace. Time has made him bitter and nothing like the boy she used to know. But, no matter how hard he tries, Luke can’t get Audrey off his mind.
Will Luke be able to leave their past behind and explore the sizzling chemistry between them? Fans of The Perfect Game by Samantha Christy will devour The Curveball by A.M. Williams, a friends to lovers, second chance romance.

Is thirteen years too long to reconnect with the one that got away?
Audrey
I never thought I’d see Luke “Voodoo” Kelly again after my parents died when I was fifteen. I was ripped from the only life I knew and thrust into a new one that didn’t involve him.
But thirteen years later, he walks into the bar I’m in with my friends in the last place I thought I’d see him: Somerville.
He looks the same, and he reminds me so much of that boy that I used to know. He’s just as handsome as before and I could still feel our connection.
The only problem? He’s nothing like that boy, and it seems he doesn’t want me in his life anymore.
Luke
Audrey Wallace was the one that got away. One day she was there, the next she wasn’t. And no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t find her.
I never expected to see her in the town I’d just moved to, let alone with my teammates and their partners.
She’s just as gorgeous as I remember, and she acts the exact same.
But I can’t forget what it was like for me after she left, how hard I struggled to claw my way out of my father’s home without her help.
However, no matter how hard I try, I can’t get her from my mind and I realize those feelings from before are still there and stronger than ever.
We have to decide if we can overcome our resentment and fear to get our happy ever after.
The Curveball is book six in A.M. Williams’ Boys of Summer baseball romance series. It’s a second chance, friends-to-lovers romance with a grumpy baseball player and a blast from his past.
If you love men in tight pants and the sassy women they fall for, this series is for you.

It was dark enough now that I couldn’t make out anything on his face. That was probably a good thing. If he looked anything like I did, he probably looked ravaged at this conversation.
“That hurts,” he admitted.
I nodded. “I know. I’m sorry. I was a selfish asshole then. I never really got over it until I left for the military.”
Luke said nothing for several minutes and I thought the topic was done. But he eventually spoke up.
“What made you join up?”
“A few things.” I sighed as I remembered deciding to join up. “I hadn’t wanted to join. But whatever money my parents had went to paying off debts, and Aunt Sarah said that if I didn’t get aid or a scholarship, she couldn’t help.”
I snorted and shook my head. “I know now that was a bunch of bullshit. I think she wanted me to pave my own way.”
“What do you mean by that?” he asked when I didn’t immediately continue.
“Let’s just say that having seen the contents of my aunt’s accounts, she could have easily paid to send me to college a few times and not put a dent in anything.”
“Ouch.”
“Yeah, ouch.”
I blew out a breath. “It is what it is. Joining the military was the best thing for me then. I was still in so much pain from my parents’ dying that I needed to get away. The military allowed me to do that, though I ended my career in Goldsboro, a place that’s only a little over an hour from here.”
Neither of us spoke for several long moments. I waited for him to say something else, whether about what I revealed to him or about his own life after I left.
But he gave me nothing as we continued to eat.
“I’m going to head out,” Luke finally said, pushing himself to stand.
I could only stare at him. “What?”
He shook his head and said nothing, walking away from me. I stared after him, trying to figure out what had just happened.
I poured my heart out to him about my parents dying and how much I’d struggled. And he’d just… walked away..
“What the fuck?” I muttered as I watched him say his goodbyes, shaking hands and giving out hugs like he’d been a part of this group for years.
“Like, seriously, what the fuck?”
He disappeared around the side of the house.
I looked back to the group and met Zoe’s gaze. She stared at me for a few beats, asking what was up with her eyes.
I had no fucking clue, so I just shrugged.
I knew one thing, though. If Luke thought I was just going to open myself up to him and let him shit all over me, he had another think coming. I’d bared my soul, and he hadn’t reacted.
Well. Fuck him.
I was officially done.

Before I know what I’m doing, I’m outta my chair and striding across the bar. Everett says my name, but I just shake my head and keep walking. When I get to the stool next to her, I pause to take her in. Tight ass jeans, a sparkly top, and curves for fucking days. Turned toward the bartender, she doesn’t see me, but he does. He gives me a chin tip before vanishing and I lift one leg over the stool to sit next to her.
“Now don’t take this wrong, but you don’t really fit in here.” I lean in so she can hear me.
“No, not really.” She turns to me, and I’m hit with big, chocolate doe eyes and even fuller lips than I imagined.
“How’d you find yourself in O’Malley’s alone?” The bartender appears with another beer, and I thank him.
“A job.” She shrugs and mirrors me by lifting her glass. A job. No fucking way this little thing could make it in this place. The patrons would eat her alive. I bite back a laugh. “But I don’t think he’s very impressed.” She nods to the man delivering drinks across the bar. I think his name is Drake, but I don’t remember.
“Anyone not impressed with you is blind or wrong.” I wink at her and she smirks, still nursing the same beer.
“If I didn’t know better, I’d say you were hitting on me.”
“Good thing you know better.” I put out a hand. “Dax.” She slides her small, soft hand into mine.
“Joslyn. It’s very nice to meet you.” Before she slides her hand from mine I run my thumb over her knuckles, reveling in the softness.
“Nice to meet you, Joslyn. Now I have a question before we get better acquainted. Is there any reason you shouldn’t be talking to me alone in a bar?” I lean in, wanting, needing, to be closer to her. And hoping like hell she doesn’t have a man waiting for her somewhere.
“Nope. But who said we needed to be better acquainted?” Mischief lights those brown eyes and her tongue darts out to lick her bottom lip. Fuck me, I want to be the one licking that lip.
“I’m a nice guy. You seem like a nice girl. I think us getting acquainted sounds like a damn good idea.” I wink at her, and a pink blush starts at her chest and creeps up her neck to her cheeks. “What do you say? Wanna come join us over here?” Her eyes dart to my rowdy party behind us and her lips twist. I stand up and lean in close to her ear. “Don’t worry, none of them will lay a hand on you. You have my word.” Joslyn stands up, her head barely coming up to my shoulder, and looks up at me.

REVIEW TOUR – The Slider by A.M. Williams
Posted by Book Loving Pixies
Jacob Vaughn represents everything I could ever want in a man, until he makes the wrong assumption about me. He says he’s sorry, but the damage has already been done. Can Jacob convince Zoe that he deserves a second chance?
Fans of the Brentwood Baseball Series by Meghan Quinn will devour The Slider by A.M. Williams, a mistaken identity, single-parent romance.
How do you recover when a first impression goes wrong?
Zoe
Meeting Jacob Vaughn wasn’t what I expected when I went out with my best friend to celebrate my new job. Jacob was kind, funny, and easy to talk to.
He represents everything I want in a dream man.
But then he assumes something about me and makes comments that my nephew overhears.
He says he’s sorry, but it’s hard to let go of the hurt when I’m not the only person impacted. He hurt Noah, and that’s just not something I can easily forgive.
Jacob
Zoe Atkinson is the breath of fresh air I didn’t realize I needed. After saving her from a handsy drunk, I discover how amazing she is and can’t get her out of my mind.
Except, I’m coming out of a bad divorce and can’t think about anyone other than myself for now.
Then I ruin things by running my mouth, upsetting someone close to her, making me realize that I like her a whole lot more than I should.
I’ve got to figure out how to get us over this hump so I can show her that I’m serious about her and Noah.
We have to decide if we’ll let first impressions ruin what could be the best thing to happen to us.
The Slider is book five in A.M. Williams’ Boys of Summer baseball romance series. It’s a mistaken identity, single-parent romance with a recently divorced baseball player and an aunt that is now struggling to raise a teenager.
If you love men in tight pants and the sassy women they fall for, this series is for you.

It was rude to stare. I knew this.
I knew this, and I didn’t care.
Want to know why?
The hottest man I’d ever seen in my entire life just walked into The Splinter.
It felt cliche to say that it was like that slow-mo entrance you see in the movies, but it really was like that.
A group of guys came in before him and he trailed them. It was like God smiled down on me when he did, too.
It was raining, so his hair was wet. Once inside, he reached up to run his hands through his hair, shaking the water out of it.
And his hair was gorgeous. This thick, lush brown color that was begging me to go over and help him shake the rest of that water out.
I didn’t because that would be weird. Much weirder than me being a creep from across the bar as I watched him join his friends at the table they’d claimed near the pool tables.
Those same pool tables I was sitting at with my friend and her friends. Though I wasn’t sure how good of a friend she was with them because there was something off about some of them.
They were nice, but catty. I’d never had many female friends growing up because I was a little awkward and lived in my head. So I also wasn’t the best at reading people.
Maybe my read was wrong.
But I didn’t think so.
They smiled when Cass introduced me, and they tried to include me in conversation initially. But then I was quickly forgotten by everyone except for Cass.
I was okay with that. I liked people watching.
Hence me noticing Mr. Good Looks when he walked in.
And I wasn’t the only one to notice him, either. The Cat Pack had as well.
“Did you see who just walked in?” one girl, a redhead, breathed.
“I did. I’ve never known him to come out before,” a brunette responded.
Cass sent me a look, nibbling her bottom lip, before looking back at her friends.
What was that about?
I sucked on my straw, it making the awfully slurping sound to tell me my drink was empty. That was my cue.
While the women were caught up in discussing Mr. Good Looking and his hot friends, I slipped away. Instead of going right for the bar, I veered toward the jukebox. I wasn’t too interested in picking a song to play, but I wanted some time away from Cass’s friends.
I flicked through the selections before digging a dollar from my pocket and feeding it to the machine and picking my songs.
Knowing I’d have to wait awhile, I turned toward the bar.
As I wound through the thickening crowd, I couldn’t help looking toward Mr. Good Looking to get another fix.
I caught sight of him and did a quick scan before forcing myself to look in front of me and not at him.
He would star in my fantasies later tonight

Lennon Love Clarke needs to put on a good show.
With her reputation sinking, the famous actress has no choice but to grin and bear it because the tabloids were better than the truth. If only Lenni could remember what that was—and who is stalking her. Now, she’s in hiding—or would be if her new bodyguard hadn’t found her first.

Lenni doesn’t know who to trust, and the hot Italian bodyguard whose smile makes her unmentionables melt doesn’t seem like a good choice. But then the threats start coming. So, she strikes a deal: she’ll cooperate with his protection as long as he doesn’t get personal—until fighting their attraction proves to be the hardest role of her career.
Dante knows she bribed him with duty, but he’ll collect on her heart—and the truth. Because it’s the only thing that can stop her stalker and save her life.

EXCERPT
“Tell me why the man who saved your life isn’t good enough to protect you?” He demanded with a low voice.
My mouth dried and the pain in my head faded against the knot of desire in my stomach.
Neither of us moved, staring each other down, waiting for the other to be the first to break.
“I never said you weren’t good enough,” I replied quietly, notching my chin up.
His eyes narrowed. “You were about to tell Ace you didn’t want me as your bodyguard,” he returned bluntly, crashing us into that inevitable conversation. “Why?”
“Maybe I just don’t trust the good-looking ones.” I folded my arms.
He drew back slightly, taking in my reply like instead of concealing me, it had done the opposite and revealed something important and deep.
“I don’t believe all of that.”
I scrunched my brow, wondering, “Which part do you believe?”
“The part where you claimed I’m good-looking.” His wide grin broke his somber expression.
Ignoring the small wave of heat through my body, I rolled my eyes and turned back to the car.
His quick steps caught me off-guard when he jogged ahead to reach the passenger door first and held it open.
“Well, as the man in charge of protecting you, I certainly hope you’re wrong,” he said as I sank into the seat.
“About you being good-looking?” I returned saucily.
“Touché.” He gripped his chest, and I thought he took the jibe in good form until he bent down, his molten chocolate eyes sticking to mine. “You can trust me, Lenni,” he said, the usual smoothness of his voice taking on a distinct rasp. “You can always trust me to protect you, no matter what.”
The door shutting released the breath that snagged like a web in my lungs.
He’d saved me once. I knew that trusting Dante Lozano wouldn’t be hard. But I worried that was the problem.
BLP REVIEW – Tracy
I’m loving this new series from Rebecca Sharp.
I thought the Carmel Cove reads were some of my favourites but the Covington Security books are gonna give them a run for their money.
I enjoyed finding out more about the other guys on the security team and seeing another side to Dante from the cocky, committed bachelor he portrayed I self to be. Don’t get me wrong, the guy is still cocky, but gods, watching him fall for Lennie was fun!!
I liked Lennon. Her backstory and the lack of memories had me trying like mad to work out what had happened and who she was running from – and while there were a couple of clues I should probably have picked up on – I enjoyed the storyline and didn’t see who it was likely to be until the last minute.
Catching up with our Carmel Cove favourites throughout this series has been good and I’m looking forward to som more crossover in the series to come.
I cannot wait for Dex and Jo’s story but I am especially looking forward to Rocco’s book when it comes.
