RELEASE BLITZ ~ Chance Encounters by Jessica Prince

SBPRBanner-ChanceEncounters-RB

Chance Encounters, an all-new romantic comedy
from Jessica Prince is now LIVE!!

CHance-Encounters-for-web

There are three kinds of nerdy women in the world.

– The Sexy Nerd

– The Confident Nerd; and

– The So-Socially-Awkward-it’s-Painful-to-Watch Nerd.

You can probably guess which one I am. After witnessing me making a fool of myself, Chance Hoffman decided to take pity on me. He’s smart, sexy, charming, and totally out of my league… and for some unexplainable reason, he wants to help me. Who am I to say no? Besides, I need all the assistance I can get.

There are three things that make a woman irresistible.

– Confidence

– A Wicked Sense of Humor; and

– A Killer Rack.

Melany Fitzgerald had none of those things. Or so I thought… until I really got to know her. She’s the total package and she doesn’t even realize it. Now I’m stuck with the uncomfortable task of helping her land another guy, all the while trying to ignore the fact that I’m starting to fall for her.

She thinks she’s an ugly duckling and wants to become a swan. All I want is her. And I’m not giving up without a fight.

About the Author:

Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.

Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.

In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.

Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.

Where the guys play hard, but the girls play dirty.

Brooklyn Holt, Carolina Crush’s top tight end, made a vow after his wife left him: never fall in love again. He doesn’t need a long-term lady. Hell no. He has the magic hands, the downfield rushes, the easy chicks by the dozens. And finally a team on a winning streak.

Being a free agent with the ladies is exactly what Brooks wants. Until Delaney Jones happens. The hot bitch with the serious attitude shows up with her own team in pretty much half the uniform he wears. Quarterback of the all-female Carolina Cougars, she’s sleek as a racehorse, mean on the field, and immune to all his moves. Every time she gives
him no time just makes him hungrier for her.

Delaney Jones takes her work and her personal life seriously, and she’ll never be mistaken for a cheerleader, in spite of her athletic body. She’s never rah-rah’d with her pom-poms for any man—hunky, hot as hell tight end or otherwise.

Brooklyn Holt has swagger. He has strut. But Delaney isn’t about to be the free baller’s willing slut. Until she scratches the surface and discovers his wounds run as deep as hers and his heart is warmer than she’d ever thought. It’s just too bad the past won’t die. When the danger she’s run from for years catches up to her, she’s determined to keep Brooks out of the crossfire. Even if it means Game Over.

EXCERPT

“HEY, DELANEY.” I SMILED easily, holding my hands out to my sides. “’S’okay if I join you?”
“Just for a game of hoops?” The gold-flecks in her irises turned almost black as she walked toward me.
“Yeah.”
“You’re on.” She shoved the ball at me.
I dribbled between my legs then raced off to the other end of the court. Four pumps of my legs and I swished that motherfucker in nothing but net.
Delaney wasted no time retrieving the basketball. She dodged every one of my lunges, heading down court like a missile.
She made a three-pointer from the line.
She was hotter than anything I’d ever seen.
A real tomboy, with a banging body and a great rack.
And the woman dazzled me enough that I forgot to catch the rebound when the ball bounced on the floor.
As she double-dribbled in front of me, I watched a drizzle of sweat slide down her neck.
Gulp.
“Play b-ball in high school?” I asked when I found my voice, shadowing her across the waxed floor.
“Point woman. All-Star states team.”
“Why football now?” Dodging in front of her, I stole the ball.
Delaney came right after me, fast hands trying to nab the basketball. “I’ll take sport anywhere I can get it.”
“Balls too?”
Because fuck yeah to that.
“Maybe yours.”
When she said that, I pretty much stumbled over my own two feet.
Delaney snatched the basketball, hit net, and I curled around her from behind.
The forgotten ball bounced . . . bounced . . . bounced . . .
Unbalanced, we dropped to the floor, Delaney landing on top with a gust of bright laughter. Her hair fell in my face, softly scented black tresses I puffed out of my way.
Horsing around, we rolled across the floor until I stopped on top of her. I held most of my weight off her, but when my groin connected with her pelvis, my chuckle turned into a deep groan.
“Oh damn,” she whispered.
Heat slammed me in the balls, and I was fully hard, my cock crushed against her pussy through the thinnest barrier of clothes.
“The rumors were true.” Her hand wandered low, and she slipped her palm beneath the waist of my shorts.
Warmth met my thick dick, and I pushed into her fist. “What rumors?”
Girth Brooks.”
I pulled her hand free and grinded against her as come prepared to unload from my cock.
“Do you always go commando, Free Baller?”
Her hips jutted up. Her lips found my neck. Her hot mouth and teasing tongue made me pulse harder against her.
“Am I crushing you?” Hurting you?
Uhhhn. Feels good.”
Fucking. Hell.
I dipped my head, just about to kiss her long and hard when the door banged open and a voice boomed out, “No fraternization, Holt!”
Goddammit.
I quickly jumped off Delaney then pulled her from the floor, sheltering her behind me.
Jeeesus, Coach D. Don’t you have a family to go home to or what?”
“Yeah.” He slapped his baseball cap against his thigh, scowling at me. “And I already done raised Philomena. Now I’m stuck straightening you dickheads out.”
I ushered Delaney past him and into the corridor, prodding her in the opposite direction. “All right already. Look”—I started ambling the other way—“I’m going to the men’s locker room. She’s headed to the lady’s.”
Mm hmmm.” Coach D replaced his cap and pulled the brim down. “Better keep it that way too.”
I listened to his whistle retreating all the way to the front entrance then another loud bang of doors. Sneaking back down the corridor, I reached Delaney just before she entered her locker room.
I grasped her arm, and she spun around, mouth open to shriek.
Ssshhh. Just me.”
Her feline-like eyes narrowed. “Boy, you are asking for trouble.”
“Coach D’s gone. We’re in the clear.” I released her and grinned. “Damn, you make me feel like a teenager. You know that?” I squinted at her.

D’you ever watch a film and have it leave an impression on you for a while afterwards or read a book that you revisit in your head for days after you’ve finished reading…. THAT’S what Freya Barker’s books do to me every time; they leave me with lasting impressions and a whole helluva lot of feels!!

A Change in Tide is the first story in a new and, what promises to be an interesting series from Ms B.
In this book we meet Mia and Jared. Jared is a recently retired ice hockey player who has moved to the lake to escape the glare and intrusion of the media and get used to living a different kind of life to that he’s been used to. He was a bit of a player but has realised that this is no longer how he wants to live his life, partly because he’s getting older but also due to changes in his family circumstances. I really liked the guy! He was unapologetic for the life he had led and was genuinely interested in changing his ways.

Mia was a real contradiction once we got to know her… A quiet woman, she has sequestered herself away in her cottage, with nigh on no contact with the outside world – with the exception of her friend and the therapist she attends. Terrible nerves, panic attacks and the fear of being outside (apart from walks with her dog, working on her small garden and her valued time on the lake) has led to Mia cutting herself off and that’s just they way she likes it… or so she has led herself to believe.
When faced with Jared and an unusual situation when out on the lake one day she finds that maybe the life she’s been leading isn’t entirely what she needs any longer. Over a short period of time her life takes some unexpected turns that throw more than a few bumps in her up until now quiet life and reading about how she copes and deals with these events made for exceptional reading!

Mia’s fear and anxiety was palpable and her emotional roller-coaster ride with life, and Jared, played out with such depth. Freya’s writing conveys feelings and emotions to such an extent that, for me anyway, it’s like watching a movie reel in my head that’s showing the whole story in full technicolour.

I hate spoilers and you get the gist of the book from the blurb so I’m not gonna say much more about the storyline.

What I am gonna say is that Freya Barker has an immense talent that is terribly underrated.
She is now one of my top 3 favourite authors and an auto 1-C buy (I don’t even need to read the blurb!). I adore the fact that her characters are generally a little older, have emotional (and sometimes mental) baggage, they have lived a life that hasn’t always been easy and through their books they face new & difficult challenges and issues that could understandably send them running in the opposite direction but their strength of character and determination sees them face their fears, whether that’s their first choice or not, and makes them all the more endearing to us!

Packed with great relatable characters, main and supporting, drama, humour, heat and so so many feels, if you haven’t yet picked up a Freya Barker book you are seriously missing out! A Change in Tide would be a great place to start as it is a new series that you can dive into, but in my humble opinion, go back to the Cedar Tree series that was the start of her writing and begin there – I promise you won’t regret it!

Book 1 in the new Northern Lights series gets 5 tide changing stars!

Exclusive excerpt for WOLF FLIGHT: Northern Lights Edition

Tad was not happy.
He should have been. He should have been freaking ecstatic because he’d waited years for today to arrive. Ever since finding out about shifters, and discovering he was one, he’d hovered on the line between one existence and another.
Today all that was about to change and he should be the happiest man on earth. Especially considering his mate—his best friend in the entire world, and his damn heart—would be there at his side to guide him through his first shift into a wolf.
He was going to be a wolf.
It was amazing, astonishing, incredible…
Embarrassing.
He folded his arms over his chest, the cast on one arm getting in his way a little, and glared at the Granite Lake Alpha. “I thought this was going to be a private affair.”
TJ, the Alpha’s younger and far more annoying brother stood from where he’d been leaning on the wall beside the door and let out a snort. “Yeah, right. Private? You do remember you’re a wolf, not a polar bear?”
Tad ignored TJ and maintained eye contact with Keil. “Why do we have to do this in front of an audience? You and Robyn are the pack biggies…”
“…and you’re her brother and the pack Omega, and I swear if you don’t get your ass in gear, I’ll make you move.”
The third person in the room, the oversized man who was the pack Beta, laughed. “Careful, Keil,” Erik teased. “Tad is one of the few pack members you can’t order to obey you.”
Keil swore, and for the first time since he’d realized it wasn’t just going to be him and Missy alone under the moonlight for his inaugural shift, Tad grinned.
And then gloated, just because he could. “What he said.”

A standalone title in New York Times bestselling author Vivian Arend’s
light-hearted, feel-good paranormal series.

It’s not easy fighting destiny.

Since discovering his heritage, Alaskan bush pilot Tad Maxwell has been torn between two worlds—human and wolf. He’s close to giving up on his dreams when Missy Leason suddenly re-enters his life. Ten years ago, their teenage attraction never went beyond hand-holding. Now their chemistry is off the charts, pushing him closer to a step he’s not sure it’s safe to take, especially with a human.

Yet Missy is more like Tad than he realizes. She’s a wolf too, and a wolf pack is a dangerous place to have secrets. Missy’s unscrupulous Alpha has sniffed out her carefully hidden Omega powers, and she’s on the run—straight into Tad’s arms. While every touch between them is flaming hot, it’s only a matter of time before she’ll be tracked down.

If his un-tapped power isn’t strong enough to save her, they could both end up dead.

Warning: Contains nasty Alphas, secret Omegas, and werewolves acting raunchy on the dance floor. Sarcasm, wilderness cabins, and hot nookie back by popular demand.

A WOUNDED WOLF…A FIERCE PROTECTOR…AN UNSHAKABLE BOND…Will Bronx and Taya be able to create that mystical bond without her inner wolf, or will their love be enough?

A WOUNDED WOLF Having suffered at the hands of a rogue pack, Taya’s wolf retreat’s deep inside her. She learns to rely on her humanity as she seeks sanctuary from the pack she’d been taken from as a child.

A FIERCE PROTECTOR…Bronx feels an instant connection to Taya the moment he set eyes on her, even though he couldn’t sense her wolf. Her pain and wariness stop him from claiming her right then and there, keeping him and his wolf on edge.

AN UNSHAKEABLE BOND…Neither Taya nor Bronx can deny their feelings for one another, and as the weeks go by, they both give into their desires. Bronx’s wolf is ready to claim Taya, wolf or not. Taya misses her wolf, but when her past catches up to them, she’ll need more than her humanity and Bronx to save her. They’ll need the strength of the pack and help from the Fey if they hope to come out of the battle alive and whole.

Excerpt

Taya looked up, still shocked at how large the man was. Damn, he had to have eaten every damn little boys Wheaties in a five state radius. Six and a half feet tall with dark blond hair, blue eyes, muscles upon muscles, tattoos upon tattoos and he scared the ever-loving-shit right out of her. When she’d first met him, he’d been the one whose arms she’d woken up in after she’d blacked out. He carried her around like she was precious, calling her his, but she couldn’t feel her wolf. She knew he thought she was his, but there was no way she could allow him to claim her without that same instinct clawing at her. A one-sided mating would tear them apart, and she didn’t think she could ever allow a man to… dominate the way he would want, or need to do with his woman. Taya was no longer the same female she used to be. Sex had been great. She loved the way it felt to be with a man, and wasn’t ashamed of her past. What she was ashamed of, was what had happened to her. Not being in control broke her. She shut the memories down that threatened to pull her under, knowing they’d send her into a space where she didn’t want to be for days.

“Son of a bitch,” Bronx cursed, then bent to face her. “Stop it right now. We will fix this.”

She nodded at his vehemence. Nothing sounded better than being fixed, but the saying and doing were two very different things.

She could see the small filthy room with the full-sized bed every time she closed her eyes. The chains that held her down had left their marks on her wrists and ankles. Without thought she ran her thumb across one raised scar, then wrenched her eyes open as Bronx pulled her hand away and placed a kiss on each of her wrists.

“I wish I could have saved you from this. From all of it.” Anger glistened in his beautiful eyes before he stood and abruptly walked away.

In a blink, he went from extra-large man, to extremely large and angry tawny wolf. Envy hit her at his ability to change, yet her wolf didn’t even stir.

“He’s not angry at you, you know,” Taryn said, sipping on her drink while she stared out into the woods.

Taking a deep breath, she turned to look into familiar eyes. “Yeah, but that doesn’t make it easier to deal with.”

Taryn nodded. “I suppose not. So, how we gonna get your wolf back? You know, sorta like that movie with Stella, only you don’t need to get your groove back. Or maybe you do, but I don’t need to know that. Well, maybe I can help you there too. I mean Jett has taught me a shitton of things. I could totally help you,” she stopped talking as the man in question growled out a warning.

“I’m thinking that is his way of telling you to pipe down?” Taya put the straw in her mouth to hide her grin. Taryn was just too damn cute. Oh, she was aware her little whatever she was had a hell of a life before finding her mate in Jett, but damn, she was adorable.

“Really, you should not make fun of me. I’m a total badass who has multiple forms,” Taryn growled.

“Way to rub it in.” Taya stood, her own lack of one form made the food she’d eaten earlier turn in her stomach.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that to be bitchy. I was teasing.” Taryn’s hand on her arm, holding her in place felt like a tether, taking her back to a place she didn’t want to be.

“Don’t touch me.” She stumbled backward, falling over the back of the bench, she scrambled up, backing away from the crowd. She felt their eyes on her, saw the way Taryn held her hand against her chest. Watched Jett come to his mate’s side, worry written all over him.

“Taya, you’re safe here,” Cora Malik soothed from a few feet away.

She looked at the tiny woman who she’d been talking to for the last week or so. Although she wasn’t a therapist, but a doctor, a fucking vet, she wanted to laugh at the absurdity. “I’m okay. I just need to go home.” Home. She didn’t have a home. She didn’t have a pack. She had nothing. Shoving her fist in her mouth, she turned away from the knowing eyes of the Mystic Wolves and went down the path toward Emerson and Payton’s cabin. They’d been gracious enough to allow her to stay in the small studio space their daughter had when she was alive located at the back of their property line.

The lighted path led the way to the one room place she slept in. It was quaint with enough space for a bed that folded up to be a couch, a small kitchen area and a bathroom. She didn’t need any more room. Hell, she wasn’t sure how long she was going to be here. Looking before she unlocked the door she didn’t sense anyone watching her, but without her wolf, she was like a normal human. “I hate you. Why did you leave me? Come out so we can shift,” she begged her wolf. When nothing rippled beneath her skin, she screamed then slapped a hand over her mouth, not wanting to alert anyone to her distress.

Bronx listened to his mate scream, her words breaking his heart. He didn’t know what to do for her and wanted to kill the men who’d hurt her, taking her wolf from her. Fuck, they may not have raped her body, but her mind was almost just as bad. He sat just at the edge of the woods near her cabin; watching as she went inside, listening as she went through her nightly routine. Yeah, he was a fucking stalker of epic proportions. Every night she did the same damn thing. She washed up, and then the sound of her tears mixing with the shower ate at him until he couldn’t stand it any longer. He wanted to burst through the door and hold her, tell her everything would be fine. He wanted to claim her, make her wolf come back to her. Yet, he didn’t know how to do that. Hell, he’d never heard of a wolf receding the way hers had except for Slater’s mate, but magic was involved there, not so with Taya.

“You gonna sit out here all night, again?” Niall asked.

He’d heard his alpha moving through the woods, they were connected as a pack should be and shifted so they could talk. “Yep.” The one word answer came out clipped.

“I spoke to her alpha about what happened. I know she calls to your wolf, but man, if she can’t shift, you can’t turn a full blood who’s suppressed her instincts back into a shifter,” he sighed. “I don’t know what to tell you. You would be living a half-life with her.”

Bronx growled, the sound low and deep. Niall was his alpha but he wouldn’t let anyone tell him who he and his wolf called theirs.

“Don’t growl at me, boy.” Niall got in his face.

“I’m not your boy, Niall. You may be alpha, but I’m not a pussy and I won’t back down on this. You want to take me on over my mate?” His muscles bunched, bones ached to shift. He could feel Niall forcing his will on him, but with the thought of his mate being taken from him, the fucks he gave went out the proverbial window.

“Goddamn stubborn ass wolf. Stand down. I am not fighting you over your mate.” Niall’s eyes glowed bright blue in the darkness. The sound of rustling broke through the quiet of the night.

“So, whose dick is bigger?” Alaina moved into view.

Niall tossed his head back, looking up at the canopy of trees. “Goddess save me.”

“I’m pretty sure my dick is bigger,” Bronx offered, then held out his hand. “Hey, she asked.”

“Yoohoo, did someone call me?”

Bronx spun to face a tiny creature he was sure wasn’t real. Holy shite, she oozed more magic than Payton and that was saying a lot.

“What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue? Well, not cat, but,” she stopped and waved her hand. “Oh, you know what I mean. My name is Jennaveve, but you will call me Jenna or I will kick you in the shin, or between the legs. Hard. Now, you called the Goddess, but you get me. You’re welcome.” She tilted her head to the side and then waited.

Alaina walked toward the ethereal creature, but was pulled up short by Niall. Bronx watched as his alpha and Alaina did a little scuffle. In a blink, the female named Jenna was in front of him. “I will not hurt you, unless you try to hurt me or mine. By the way, you are me and mine, so we are good. Now, you are Bronx, which is a total kickass name. Those two are Niall and Alaina, and they clearly like to play slap and tickle.” She shook her head. “Save it for the bedroom children, there are others present…unless you’re into that thing, then get a room at the right place.”

Niall froze with Alaina at his side. “Thank you for coming, Jenna. It’s been too long since we’ve seen you.” Niall’s tone was smooth and even. “Bronx, this is the Fey Queen.”

Jenna shrugged. “Fey, or Fey Queen. It’s potato or tomato. Depending on who you speak with.”

Bronx was pretty sure that wasn’t how the saying went, but again, he wasn’t sure the woman in front of him was completely sane, so kept his lips sealed. Having never met her, he waited for her to speak.

“Such a smart wolfie, yes you are. Who’s a good boy,” she cooed.

He narrowed his eyes, but kept his hands locked into fists at his sides. “You are seriously trying my very last nerve, Fey.”

Niall looked up at the sky, then back at him. “Bronx, watch your tone. This woman is more than meets the eye. She’s…just more and someone we will show respect to.” His tone brooked no argument.

Jenna waved her hand, then stared at Bronx. “Oh, I know you wolfies tend to be a wee uptight, but I like trying your last nerves. I’ll give you a direct line to my bestie. His name is Kellen, and he’ll tell you how awesome I am at doing just that.” She spun and faced the cabin, all signs of cheer evaporated. “My goddess, she is killing me.” Jenna’s feet left the ground. “I will speak with her, and let you know what we’re going to do.”

Before he could stop himself, he reached out, putting his body between the floating woman and the cabin. “You’re not going to hurt her.” He’d not allow anyone; woman or man, human or other, to lay one finger on Taya.

The Fey’s feet touched the ground her eyes met his. “You sure are a big fella, aren’t you?”

He shrugged, used to people saying those words. Right that instant he would use whatever he had at his disposal to protect what was his, and by all that he believed in, Taya was his.

A sigh that sounded put upon left the little woman’s lips. “I do so love you wolves, which is why you will land quite softly. You’re welcome by the way.”

Bronx was having a hard time following what the female was saying until he found himself being physically moved without anyone touching him. If she thought he wouldn’t fight the invisible bonds, she was crazier than he thought. His wolf burst out of him quicker than he’d ever done before, racing in front of the cabin door just as Taya was opening it. He growled, the sound had Jenna taking a step back.

“Down doggie. Bad doggie. Taya, be a good girl and get him a treat.” Jenna wagged her finger at him.

He bristled, but didn’t move an inch, even as he felt her magic rolling over him. He fought the bonds, growling as it tried to make him do what he wasn’t willing to do; leave his mate’s side. Hell to the no was he leaving Taya unprotected.

“I don’t think he’s housetrained yet. Um, who are you?” Taya’s hand landed on the top of Bronx’s head, making his wolf purr.

Holy hell, he was making the sounds of a contented cat, dammit. He clamped his jaws together enjoying the feel of Taya’s fingers on his wolven body. She didn’t seem to notice, or care as long as he wasn’t in human form.

“My name is Jenna, and I’m here to help you. Again, you’re welcome.” Jenna tried to step around Bronx who growled at her.

“Stop growling or you can’t come inside.” Taya tugged on a handful of his fur.

He was ready to roll over and show her his belly, or if he shifted, she’d get an eyeful of something else. Nope, better to stay wolf than man. No need for her to see his swinging junk at the moment.

About the Author:

I’m a full-time wife and mother of two who has loved to read and write since childhood. I survived cancer and decided I could do anything, setting personal goals then and there. Four years later, after meeting many wonderful writers who allowed me to beta read for them, whom I can now call friends, I decided to write a book. Several years later I’ve attained my first goal, becoming a published author.

I love to write and have all kinds of stories in my head waiting to be written. The best part about my new journey is that if I don’t like it, I can re-write it, unlike real life, so I always make sure there’s a happy ending.

I’m creating new worlds, and I hope you all enjoy them with me. I can guarantee you’ll always have a hero or two you’ll love, and a heroine you’ll want to be.

SYNOPSIS:

Valeriya Azarov turned her back on the family business to write and illustrate children’s books. But with a sister who leads the Knights of the Dragon, it’s impossible to get away from the secret society whose mission is to destroy and enslave dragons. When information falls into her hands along with the opportunity to save at least one of the ancient creatures, she can’t turn away any longer.

When a woman moves into the cabin above Tarrant Cooper’s secret underground lair, he’s both suspicious and intrigued. He hasn’t lasted four thousand years being careless, so when he suspects her of being a part of the Knights, the plan is to kidnap her and find out how much the organization knows about him and his brothers.

He’s drawn to Valeriya, but trusting her could get him killed. Even if she’s a pawn in the war between drakons and Knights, giving her his heart would mean forever.

EXCERPT:

“What’s going to happen to me?” She had to know.

Tarrant sighed and walked around the counter until he was standing beside her. He cupped her face in his hands. “I honestly don’t know.” Then he kissed her.

Unlike the last time, she was ready for him. But the heat and power of the caress still took her off guard. If she’d been standing, her knees would have buckled. The warmth of his hands soaked into her skin. His lips were firm, yet supple.

“Tarrant.” She whispered his name this time. Last time, she hadn’t even known it. She still didn’t know his last name. Not that it truly mattered.

His tongue touched hers, and she leaned inward, wanting more. It was crazy to be drawn to her captor. He might have been kind and held her while she’d cried. He might have cooked her food and made her tea. But she could never forget he’d taken her for reasons of his own. And she had no idea what those reasons were.

She tried to focus on her gift, but it wasn’t easy. Not when he was kissing her. There was no sense of danger, only a knowing that she was where she was supposed to be. It didn’t make any sense. None of this situation did. Maybe her intuition was faulty, but she honestly didn’t think so. It had served her well her entire life.

So maybe, just maybe, it was telling her the truth. Tarrant wasn’t a threat to her. Yes, he was big and dangerous and obviously skilled, since he’d managed to take her without her knowing. She should be terrified of him. But she wasn’t. If anything, she yearned to get closer to him.

Maybe she was the one who was crazy.

99c SALE ~ Shelly Bell’s Blue Blooded

Only 99c for this week

A woman who refuses to be tied down…

Investigative reporter Rachel Dawson is always looking for her next big story. While working on a feature about BDSM, she lands a one-night, no-holds-barred pass into the exclusive sex club, Benediction. Rachel doesn’t have a deviant bone in her body—or so she thought—until the infuriating, ex-soldier Logan Bradford convinces her to try rope bondage under his capable hands. But a steamy night turns deadly when Rachel and Logan witness a gruesome murder.

A Dom who’s determined to bind her to him…

Framed for a crime they didn’t commit and hunted by corrupt FBI agents, they flee. As Rachel and Logan search for evidence to clear their names, the attraction they’ve been fighting ignites into fiery passion. Love is the last thing Rachel wants, but night by night, as Logan binds her body, he unravels the knots around her heart. And when they uncover a shocking political conspiracy, Rachel will stop at nothing to reveal the truth…and it just might kill her.

Rachel gestured to his hands. “Still playing with ropes I see.”

“Still pretending you’re not curious about them.” Logan’s expression didn’t change, but she heard the smirk in his voice.
“I’m not curious. I got over playing cops and robbers when I turned seven.” She tossed her long hair over her shoulder. “And by the way, I always did the tying up.”
He chuckled. “Of course you did.”
“Why would you say of course?”
He inched closer, the spicy musk of him reaching her nose. “Because you’re a control freak.”
She crossed her arms and took a step toward him, so close she had to tilt her chin up to look into his copper colored eyes. “If the shoe fits…”
He tossed the rope onto the small end table beside Danielle’s chair and wrapped his hand around the top of Rachel’s arm, the heat of his fingers searing her skin. “No, there’s a difference between me and you.” He lowered his voice. “I find serenity in control while you wouldn’t know serenity if it bit you on that finely-shaped ass of yours.”
He let go of her, and she stumbled back into the chair. If she wasn’t mistaken, there was a compliment blended in with that insult. Reminded by his comment of how she kept her ass finely-shaped, she turned from Logan and nudged Danielle on the shoulder. “I do too have a hobby. I do Pilates five days a week. So there, I do something other than work.”
Danielle rose from the chair. “It doesn’t count if you’re on your cell phone the whole time.”
“I bet I could teach you how to relax,” Logan said from behind her.
She twirled around, raising her eyebrow. “You gonna let me tie you up and gag you? Because that would definitely put a smile on my face.”
Laughing, Danielle walked away, giving her a little waive. Traitor.
He chuckled, the sound of it low and deep, which for some reason, created a warm, syrupy sensation throughout her body. “Not a chance. But an hour with me, your bones would turn to liquid and you’d have the best night’s sleep of your life.”
           “All from a little rope?”
“No,” he said, backing her up against the wall. He caged her in, his right hand resting above her head and the other stroking her hip. “From the heart pumping, thigh clenching, eye rolling orgasms I’d give you while you were bound and gagged.”

A sucker for a happy ending, Shelly Bell writes erotic suspense and action-filled erotic thrillers with high-emotional stakes for her alpha heroes and kick-ass heroines.

She began writing upon the insistence of her husband who dragged her to the store and bought her a laptop. When she’s not working her day job, taking care of her family, or writing, you’ll find her reading the latest smutty romance.

She is the author of the BENEDICTION and FORBIDDEN LOVERS series.

BLOG TOUR ~ The Negotiator by Avery Flynn

The Negotiator, an all-new sexy, romantic comedy
standalone from Avery Flynn is now LIVE!!!

51sxOwI5FpL

The Negotiator
by Avery Flynn

Release Date: April 24th, 2017

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Wanted: Personal Buffer

Often snarly, workaholic executive seeks “buffer” from annoying outside distractions AKA people. Free spirits with personal boundary issues, excessive quirks, or general squeamishness need not apply. Salary negotiable. Confidentiality required.

Workaholic billionaire Sawyer Carlyle may have joked he needed a buffer from their marriage-obsessed mom, but he didn’t need a waiting room filled with candidates to further distract him. (Thanks, bro.) But when a sexy job applicant shooes his mom and the socialite in tow out of his office, Sawyer sees the genius of the plan. And the woman. In fact, Miss Clover Lee might just get the fastest promotion in history, from buffer to fake fiancé…

This free-spirit might look like hot sunshine and lickable rainbows, but she negotiates like a pitbull. Before Sawyer knows what hit him, he’s agreed to give up Friday nights for reality tv, his Saturdays for flea markets (why buy junk still baffles him), his Tuesdays and Thursdays for date nights (aka panty-losing opportunities if he plays his cards right). And now she wants lavender bath salts and tulips delivered every Monday?

Yup, she’s just screwing with him. Good thing she’s got this non-negotiable six-weeks-and-she’s-gone rule or Sawyer may have just met this match…

Excerpt:

A teasing promise lit her eyes. “And I never would have guessed you didn’t have any experience working with your hands.”

Now that was just a straight up lie. “I never said that. You know very well that I’m good with my hands.” He reached out and tucked a stray blonde hair behind her ear, letting his touch linger. “Very good.”

Her breath caught, but she didn’t move away as his fingers trailed down the soft column of her neck. Her pulse thrummed under his touch and one glance down at the hard peaks pushing against her thin T-shirt confirmed she was skating along the same fault line between sanity and lust that he was.

“Are you flirting with me?” she asked, her voice breathy.

“No.” He didn’t flirt. That was Hudson. Sawyer was the grumpy brother. He never flirted. Still, his hand didn’t drop from where he was touching her and he couldn’t tear his gaze away from her perfect pink mouth.

“Of course not.” She leaned forward, cutting the distance between them, so close he could feel her soft breath against his skin. “That would violate the contract.”

The temptation to dip his head the few inches to kiss her had his entire body hard and wound tight with anticipation. Lust ran through him like a runaway freight train. The little voice in the back of his head screaming that this was a bad idea suffered the same fate as it had in the supply closet last night: death by ignoring. Clover Lee had that effect on him. It was going to be a very long month and a half.

“The napkin didn’t say anything about flirting,” he said.

No, he was totally free to give himself blue balls the size of watermelons every time he came near his personal buffer.

“Ah-ha!” The triumphant sound escaped her lush lips as she straightened, expanding the space between them and dislodging his hand from her soft skin. “You are flirting.”

Was he? No. He was torturing himself. That was a very different sort of hell. “You take all the fun out of things.”

“No way.” She shook her head, the movement letting a few more silky strands loose from the knot on the top of her head. “I am the definition of fun. If it wasn’t for me, you’d still be in your office banging on your keyboard.”

“I don’t bang.”

“Not me, you don’t,” She shot him a cocky smirk. “It’s in the contract.”

Priscilla Story, the self-proclaimed “wild child” of the straight-laced Story clan, has always had a knack for getting herself trouble. Except this time, her “growing problem” is going to require a Daddy sooner than later…or she can kiss her inheritance good-bye.

Shane Olson, who previously dated Priscilla’s sister, Margaret, isn’t opposed to a marriage of convenience for the sake of furthering his business interests, but Priscilla – with her wild ways – is just about the last woman he’d choose to marry.

In order to make the marriage look convincing, they end up having to spend more time together than they’d originally planned. When rolling stone, Priscilla, who lives by the seat of her muu-muu, and seriously-ambitious Shane, who’s had his whole life planned since he was eleven, start falling for each other, it’s going to take a whole lot of compromise for this Bohemian and her Businessman to find their happily ever after.
