Blurb:
Meredith definitely drank too much last night. Why on earth else would she have woken up without her purse, and the distinct memory of giving her number to a stripper? So gross.
The good news is, she never has to see him again. Except to get her purse. And to discover she did another terrible, horrible, very bad thing while drunk- she accidentally became a professional penis photographer.
Rob wishes more people would believe him when he says he truly is stripping his way through journalism school. It’s the only way Millennials can afford school with no student loans. When Meredith quite literally stumbles across his path, he’s super smitten. Sadly, she is less so once she sobers up.
Can he trick her into dating him?
Can she trick her mother into thinking she has a respectable job?
And can anyone recover once the internet picks up their story? It’s a long shot for both of them.

BLP REVIEW ~ Tracy
What can I say… Long Shot was a funny, crazy, fun packed read and I loved it.
Rob and Meredith were fab. He was a hot as hell, sexy stripper who had all the moves, oh and he was a filthy dirty talker to boot 😉 but stripping wasn’t his long term goal. This man was only working at the Meow Club to pay his way through college. He was actually a really sweet guy when it came down to it and he hid a lot behind his cheeky smile and heart covered thong (lol.. accidental pun, but oh so true!!)..
Merie was a down on her luck photographer. Pretty much camping out in her sisters home office, she was experiencing a real downturn in luck. One very drunken night at the strip club and her normal, boring life was turned on it’s head…. Not only was she firmly in the sight’s of Rob the sexy stripper, she had also agreed to photograph one of his colleagues junk – in a purely professional role of course!! Thing is, even though to start with she was mortified, when she started her Peen Photography, she really got into it, was professional and damned good at it!
They were similar in a lot of ways, determined to do what they wanted when it came to their work, they got on really well, had fantastic chemistry and were off the charts when they came together (pun most definitely intended here!!). They made such a great couple and were really good for each other.
My only little bug bear was Meredith’s issue over Rob’s current job… I totally get why she would be a bit unsure about seeing a male stripper, not everyone is gonna understand why he does it, but regardless of how often he tried to explain to her that his overall goal was graduating and starting a career in journalism she just didn’t seem to let what he said filter in and she continually got herself all twisted up in knots about it..
There were a lot of laugh out loud funny scenes – admittedly my favourites more often than not included a distinct lack of clothing!! With a little bit of a wobble giving us a ‘will they/won’t they sort things out’ vibe and a really great ending, Long Shot was a well written, engaging and entertaining read and a real success from Kayti McGee in my opinion.
I loved catching up with Miranda & Joe, Jane & Bobby and Melissa & Spencer, it was good to be reminded how they were all connected but Rob & Meredith are without doubt my favourite couple to date.
A very well deserved 4.5* and a read that I definitely recommend. To quote Jane, when it comes to this series, “All my favourite girls’ names begin with M!”
