AP new - synopsis.jpg

After five lonely years out west, Chad Butler spots a curvy beauty in the crowd at his hometown honky-tonk and knows he has to have her.
He’s going to lasso this little filly straight into his bed – and into his life.

Rachel Sweeting enjoys the peace she’s found in the middle of miles of cornfields with her Aunt Jessie. H
er new life keeps her safely tucked away from the pain and embarrassment of her past.
But, when her truck breaks down in the middle of the night and a hunky cowboy rides to the rescue, she’s knocked straight out of her boots.

Her romance books have told her love-at-first-sight is real and for the first time, Rachel is a believer.
But when a dangerous past connection threatens their ride into the sunset, will Chad’s devotion to his woman be enough to save the day?

Author’s Note: This cowboy hasn’t touched a woman in years, and when he falls, it’s hard and fast, making for an instant love connection and obsessed alpha hotness. If you’re looking for love-at-first-sight, NO cheating and filthy sweetness, come sit a spell but bring a fan, it’s hot.

AP new - excerpt.jpg

This gorgeous cowboy just took my virginity, and it’s beautiful and I’m breathing in fits hoping I don’t pass out.

Chad releases his hand from my neck and attacks me with kisses, covering every inch of my face.  The contrast between this gentle sweetness and the dominant animal that just fucked me gives me goose bumps where I didn’t think you could get them.  I’m losing the battle with a word that keeps knocking around inside my head.  Love.

That’s stupid, love?  How can I love him already?

He leans in next to my ear. “You know what this means?”

I’m in heaven. His hands cover my cheeks, his thumbs slowly caressing the flushed skin.

“No. What does it mean?”  As the words leave my lips, a soaking stream of his cum leaks out from around where his cock still rests hard and full inside of me and my belly flutters, realizing what I’ve done.

Oh my god…

“I’m never letting you go.”

I like how that sounds. Especially if it means more of this.  He’s opened the floodgates. I feel insatiable, and I want him again already even with the pinching pain that reminds me of how big he is and how new I am.  But I think I should go now.

“I have to go. Aunt Jessie will worry if I don’t come back tonight. I mean, let’s be honest, we don’t know you that well.  You could be a serial killer or one of those people that likes wine coolers or leasing cars.”  I joke.

“I told you last night I wasn’t a murderer.  But, I have sipped a wine cooler.  I’m quite ashamed.”

The flash of his grin only makes my belly tighten and I hug his cock while a bright flash of fresh pain shoots from inside me.

“It’s bad?” he asks, the grin gone and replaced by a look of genuine concern.

“It’s a good kind of bad.”  I shift under him, surprised by how far I can move.  He’s covering me and caging me but keeping his weight on his arms.

My free hand traces along his jaw, feeling the stubble and I pull him down onto me, his hands leaving my cheeks, tangling into my hair.

He thickens inside of me.

Pain shoots through my abdomen, making me wince.

“What?” he asks, his voice deepening and his eyes turning stormy blue.

I smile up at him. “I feel that.”

“Feel what?” He grins back and flexes his hips, forcing me to arch my back. As his cock twitches inside me I realize he’s full and hard again, ready for more. He moves in tiny pulses, stroking me.

“God. Chad.”

“Don’t worry my sweet girl, I’ll start slow.”

About the Book

He wants to kill me . . . More than that, he wants to see me die.

I don’t know him. I’ve only heard about him throughout my short life.

It is my destiny to die at his hand when he sacrifices me to the Fates . . .

All so that my death can bring back his obsession.

The woman he loves.

He’s my death.

But he’s more than that.

He’s the air that destroys me with each breath. An addiction I never planned on having.

I’ve mated to my killer.

Either way, I’m going to die.

The question now is if I can survive long enough for him to complete his sacrifice and bring back the woman he truly adores.

Fourteen-thousand years ago, I locked away my powers.

The loss of one woman took everything from me. I made a deal to wait. To sacrifice an innocent that would be born in the far future to bring my beloved back.

Then I laid eyes on that girl . . . and everything I thought I knew got shredded to shit.

She’s reawakened the monster in me.

The madness.

The hunger.

The creature that demands a taste of her flesh.

Even worse, for the first time in my long, brutal existence, the monster is demanding her blood.

I’ve mated to my victim.

I’ll have no choice but to keep my promise. I have to sacrifice her. And the moment I do . . .

We’re both going to die.

EXCERPT REVEAL ~ Dirty Talk by S.L. Scott

dirty talk release blitz

            ~Luke Anders~

“What if I touched you right where you want to be touched?” I slide my hand up her thigh, inching her skirt up slowly. Her breath catches, the quiet gasp making me smile. “What if I touched you right where you pretend to be so protective? I know you. I know you like it dirty . . . maybe even a little rough.”

She finds her voice, though it’s affected, sexy. “A lot.”

            “What is that?”

Clearing her throat, she says, “I like it rough. Really rough.”

The right side of my mouth curves up, my hand stalling just below the apex of her thighs when my phone buzzes. I release a sigh. Grabbing the phone from my pocket, I sit up and read the text: Let’s get the fuck out of here. I look back at the black-haired raven I’ve left squirming on the metal barstool next to me. Pity. I’d like to explore exactly how she likes it, but duty calls. Standing up suddenly, I grab my wallet and slap some bills down for the drinks.

“What are you doing?” she demands, desperation lacing her tone as her eyes go wide.

I tuck my wallet back into the inside pocket of my Vittori suit jacket and kiss her on the cheek. Since I’m there, I add with a wink, “I bet we’d be so fucking good together.” Straightening upright, I smirk. “My apologies. I hate to run, but unfortunately, I have a prior engagement I can’t get out of. Maybe we can pick this up another time. I’ll see you around, sweetheart.”

She huffs. “You’re a playboy bastard, Luke Anders,” rolls off her tongue in frustrated anger as she spins back to the bar.

I know. Not turning back, I nod. It’s not the first time I’ve been called a playboy or a bastard. Name-calling doesn’t bother me. Not getting laid tonight does.

Pushing open the exit door that leads to the alley, my asshole friends are waiting near the car they’ve pulled around.

The rusting red door slams shut, the click of the lock heard loudly behind me. The alley is quiet compared to the loud music that blares inside the club. “Fuckers.” With my arms out wide, I yell, “What the fuck? Where’s the fire? I was closing the deal.”

“We were saving you, man. Trust me on that.” My best friend is standing in front of the car with his arms crossed over his chest. Danny Weston is one of the best people I know, but right now, he’s pissing me the fuck off.

            “Saving me from what?”

“Ask Blaise. He has firsthand knowledge.”

When I shoot an annoyed look in Blaise’s direction, he clams up. With hands up in surrender, he backs away toward the driver’s door. “I can’t help that the ladies love me.” Thus confirming he’s already hit that pretty kitty.

I walk to the passenger’s side of the car, punching Danny on the arm when I pass him. “Shit, man, just give me a heads-up next time. I wasted some of my best lines on her.”

Danny claims the front seat, so I duck into the back seat of a restored 1969 black Gran Torino. Cocky behind the wheel, Blaise takes off before we even have our seatbelts on, and says, “Stop hitting on everyone that takes pity on you then.”

“Fuck you. I can get any woman I want. No one’s taking pity on me.”

Danny breaks into the argument, “You guys really need to find a new hobby.”

“One-night stands are plenty entertaining,” Blaise retorts, smiling.

Danny puts his arm on the back of the seat and turns toward me. “I’m not going to lecture you—”

            “Again,” I add.

“Again,” he repeats while rolling his eyes. “But we’ve talked about this a fuck ton of times. She’s not Jane and until you figure out what the hell is going on there, or if anything is going on there, these women are all the same—just another disappointment you’re going to have in the morning because they’re not her.”

Blaise verbally steps in, “Damn, dude, why so deep? You’re bringing me down.”

Danny laughs. I don’t. We’ve been friends for many years now, so Danny knows my game. He knows me well enough to know what I’m doing. Until I sort out this mess with the first woman I ever loved, the rest are just regrets waiting to happen, along with the regrets I can’t take back.

But I know him well too. We relate in a way that Blaise doesn’t understand, on a level that one day he’d be lucky to experience. No matter what I’ve been through with Jane, I’ve loved, hard. I know what it means to love and to be loved. I have no regrets when it comes to Jane, except one: letting her go.

Because first love deserves a second chance

One month.

One movie.

One shot at a second chance.

I fell madly in love at first sight with Jane Lewis.

The girl with bright blue eyes, a pretty smile, and great ass owned my heart. I thought she was happy with the status quo, but ten years later, I foolishly let her go. Despite dating other women, no one compares to my first love. We are meant to be together, and I’m going to try my damnedest to convince her of that.

Luke Anders tricked me. The deal was sealed before I knew he was behind it.

We agreed to be just friends. Simple. Easy. But it’s not just the weather that’s hot in Texas. I was a fool to think I could resist him. He knows how to work his charms and those kissable lips, that great jaw, and biceps. We are here to work, but he has become downright distracting.

I’m strong. I can handle one month of his flirtatious sexual torture. But if I happen to fall in bed with that sexy bastard for a night, or three, does that make me weak? Asking for a friend, of course.

I guess I’m about to find out when love gets messy, it’s not just the talk that’s dirty.

NEW RELEASE ~ Broken Pieces (Cape Isle Series #3) by Allie Able

Broken Pieces
Cape Isle Series #3
by Allie Able

(August 16, 2016)

I made a promise to myself the day I met Lexie Sinclaire—a promise that I would protect her. What I didn’t expect was to fall in love with my best friend. For eighteen years I have kept my feelings for her a secret, always waiting for the right time to tell her. So, when that time finally comes, the unthinkable happens and I find myself doubting if she is the one who can mend my broken pieces.

I never realized Zack’s true feelings for me. I should have seen them all along, but I didn’t and now it may be too late. My strong best friend is crumbling, barely holding on. I’m scared that his broken pieces are too fractured and I’m not sure if I’m capable of holding them together.

**This book can be read as a standalone.

“I had sex with my best friend.”

Jenna stares at me in shock. Cupcake batter is dripping off the spoon and onto the floor. She is so still I wonder if she is frozen like that. I walk over to where she is standing, careful to avoid the spoon, and poke her in the shoulder.

“Say something,” I demand.

She snaps her mouth closed and opens it again, but no words come out.

I roll my eyes and make my way over to a stool and sit down at the island, grabbing a cupcake off of the cooling rack. I shove half of it in my mouth and stare at Jenna.

It’s still early and we haven’t opened the bakery yet. I was hoping to get a little advice from her, but I’m not sure that’s going to happen since she can’t form words. Zack didn’t say much this morning. He was already awake and in my kitchen making coffee when I woke up. When I walked into the kitchen, he gave me a quick kiss and told me he had to get to work. Now, if that would have been any other man, I would have thought that he was avoiding me, but I know that’s not what Zack was doing.

“Zack?” Jenna ask. I guess she did find her voice.

I continue eating the delicious cupcake as I nod my head. “Yup.”

“You had sex with Zack? Last night?”

I almost roll my eyes. Haven’t we been over this already? But I decide to give the poor girl a break. Maybe, she hasn’t woken up yet. “Yes. I had toe curling sex with my best friend, Zack, last night.”

“Jesus Christ,” she mumbles.

“Nothing. So, did y’all talk?”

I wipe my mouth with a napkin and take my time answering. I’ve never been one to hold back, but the things that were said last night with Zack feel like things that should stay between us. I don’t feel right sharing all of those intimate details with anyone else, that’s ours. Finally, I nod my head. “Yeah, we did talk.”

Jenna studies my face for a second and then goes back to stirring the batter. “So, he finally told you he was in love with you. How did that go?”

“What? How did you know that?”

She pins me with a look. “Lexie, the question is, how did you not know that?”

I start shredding the napkin I’m holding into tiny pieces. I’ve been asking myself the same question since last night. I shrug my shoulders and shake my head. “I don’t know.”

“What was that?” I ask.

“It was something.”

“I was just wondering if maybe you just didn’t want to know.”

“Well, that’s stupid,” I scoff.

She looks at me and raises an eyebrow. I wish Summer were here. At least she would be nice about all of this.

“You’re mean.” I reach for another cupcake and before I know what’s happening, she is moving at super speed and slapping my hand with the batter covered spoon.

“Ouch!” I squeal, looking down at my hand in shock.

“Oh, please. That didn’t hurt,” she says, with an eye roll.

“You are so mean.” I give her my best ‘poor me’ look, but she isn’t falling for it.

“So, tell me how everything went. Are y’all a couple now?”

I look at the cupcakes longingly before standing up to go wash the cake batter off of my hand. “I don’t know. We both had to get to work this morning and didn’t really have time to talk.

Her hmm-ing is really starting to piss me off.

“What was that?” I ask, drying my hands off.

“Nothing,” she replies quickly.

“It was something.”

She starts laughing and I roll my eyes. This conversation is going nowhere fast.

“I want Summer.”

That just makes her laugh harder. “Why? So she can baby you?”

I stick my tongue out at her and make my way towards the front of the shop. I quickly scoop up a cupcake and haul ass through the kitchen doors, trying my best to avoid the spoon wielding witch.

“I saw that!” she yells.

“You’re just mad because I’m faster than you,” I yell back. I can’t make out her muffled reply as the kitchen doors close.

I smile as I sit down at one of the tables by the front windows and enjoy my cupcake. God, I love my job

“Well, I guess we’ve gone and proved that theory.” She turned toward him, worried he’d tense back up again. If it came down to it she’d just get him riled up for another go. It sure was a fun way to get the man relaxed.

Reed didn’t even look at her, and while he wasn’t as overwrought as before, tension lined his shoulders. “What’s that?”

“A good orgasm is an excellent way to relax.”

His laughter was spontaneous, genuine, and brought his attention back to her. The rigidity seeped from his shoulders. “Thought you weren’t interested in medicine.”

“I’m not. I’m interested in sex.”

“I can tell.”

“You noticed, hmm?” With a throaty chuckle, she let her fingers dance up along his back. She carefully traced the lines of his muscles with her fingers until she got to his shoulders. “You needed that. No guilt allowed.”

“Not used to causal sex with strangers.”

“Or welcoming total abandon. For someone who isn’t used to those things, you’re really very skilled at them.” She chuckled at his low growl. “I’ll give you a little leeway. We’ll try to resolve the practical stranger issue.”

“We will?” His palm ran along her hip, fingers grabbing on to pull her leg over his hip. “How will we do that?”

“An extended twenty questions.” She brushed her lips across his chest. “I’m calling this your very own personal brand of therapy. Your prescription includes regular extended visits with me. It’s where you’re allowed total abandon when you need it. To ease your mind, I’ll allow you two questions a session, if I get to return with my own questions.”

“Twenty questions? I expected spin the bottle.” His weight shifted until he pressed her down into the rug. Warm breath caressed her neck, sending shivers right to her core.

“Not enough people. Now ask your questions.”

“You first.”

“Cheater.” She giggled. “Fine. Favorite color?”

“That’s easy. Blue. Yours?”

“Green.” A soft moan slipped out as her nerves lit up under his nibbling teeth. “Age you lost your virginity.”

“Twenty one.”

“To Velli?”

“That’s another question.”

Noelle laughed. “Point to you. Your turn.”

“I return your question.” His words were muffled, not that she was complaining. There was another reason for it—his lips were dealing with far more pleasurable activities. At least to her.

“We done with questions?”

“God, yes.” She welcomed his kiss, pulling his body tight against hers. The pounding on the door jolted through them both rudely, and she groaned. “Son of a bitch. I hate being interrupted.”

When I finally opened my eyes, they felt swollen. The pain in my head spread throughout my entire body. Dim light surrounded me in this strange room. I lay on a bed and looked up at the ceiling. I tried to speak, but my throat was dry. Only a quiet wheeze escaped. A low groan followed as my headache pounded against my temples. I still felt hot and sweaty. Layers of blankets covered me, and I wanted to yank them off. When I touched my abdomen, I wore nothing but my bra and panties.

My eyes darted around the unfamiliar room. On the wall, I noticed a shadow of something next to me. What the hell is that? I turned my head and saw a candle in the window, but what cast the shadow scared me to death. A large, white wolf lay on the floor beside me. There was no mistaking it for a dog. The bed was low to the floor, and its head was close to mine. I opened my mouth wide, prepared to scream, but wheezes and weak gasps escaped, instead. I thrashed my head against the pillow, as if the motions would turn up the volume in my voice. Finally, a shriek pushed through my sandpaper throat. It was a high-pitched squeal at first, but then, it burst forth and filled the room. I sat up quickly. Aching pain tore through my body, and I heard my bones crack.

The wolf awoke with a start. It jerked its head up, and glowing, yellow eyes blinked until they settled on me. I shrank away from it, nearly falling off the bed, screaming until I went hoarse and gasped for breath. The wolf stood on all fours, its size definitely that of a Great Dane. Our gazes locked for a brief moment before the animal ran out the room. I sat against the headboard, clutching the blankets against my chest. I was alone and terrified. Within seconds, tears trickled down my cheeks.
