BLP REVIEW – Tracy
I FLOVED Willa and Sawyer’s story. These two were just destined to be together IMO.
We knew from the prequel that Willa had nearly drowned and that Sawyer had saved her but right after her family had left the island and Sawyer hadn’t seen her in 2 years. She returns to the island just as Sawyer and his band of brothers are leaving to join the services so they barely interact.
WBD find us a few years down the line. Sawyer has returned home from the navy and Willa has settled in the small island town. Willa’s grandparents are kinda island royalty so when they pass Willa is left to deal with their estate. Things get a bit icy with her parents at the will reading and one thing leads to another where Willa and Sawyer enter into a fake relationship …. Or is it?!?!
Another installment where there were a number of things happening and the intrigue and mystery had me fully engaged from the get go.
I loved the natural progression of their relationship. What started out as a sort of form of protection developed into more because it was them and they had such history.
Just as things settle in one story there’s something else kicking off that’s a precursor to the next take and I’m so looking forward to Ford and Bree’s book…. and there’s also the continuing story Gwen story arc….. loads to look forward to!
We’ve got a tv show here in the UK that’s set in a small country village and there’s always some skulduggery going on… Hatterwick & Sutter Ferry gave me vibes of that and I was there for it all!!!
