And I want to fall in love with the people on the page as they’re falling in love with each other. Above all else, I want the fantasy to feel like it could be reality. That’s why I started writing.

🥰🥰 Loved Banks & Sara together. 🥰🥰

I started this series midway with Fluke and I hate to admit that Banks antics grated on me initially…. until I realised that he was really quite lonely – missing the connections he had had with his brothers prior to them finding their partners – and then my opinion of him softened. I think I’d have been a bigger fan of Banks going into his book if I had read the series in order!! 🤷🏼‍♀️

In Flaunt Adriana had me feeling so many emotions about Banks. I knew he was loyal and cared about his family but he was a lot sweeter, much more considerate and really protective that I expected, especially when he had a purpose and focus, but he didn’t lose that mischievous side.

Sara I pretty much liked from the get go… It was no surprise she was on her own having been disappointed and let down in the past. I loved watching her see Banks and seeing how their relationship developed.

I adore the family dynamic, humour and sense of belonging the Carmichael gang being to the story. Seeing how the brothers are going about their changing lives is interesting.

This pair were perfect for each other. Banks needed to feel wanted and Sara needed someone in her corner who saw her.

Can’t wait for Foxx’s book!!!!

If I’m water, she’s oil—oil that hasn’t been changed in a hundred-thousand miles. And I’m basically holy water, so it’s a no-go.

But it’s not Sara who’s asking for my help. It’s Ashley. And Ashley is family.

Oh, fuck my life.

I blow out a long, hasty breath.

“I’ll let you come over for dinner tomorrow, too,” Ashley says, luring me in with her fluttery lashes.

Still, I hold strong and think it through.

Even if I put up an argument and do my best to resist her pleas for help, I’ll give in. Arguing will only delay the inevitable. At worst, Ashley will call Maddox, and he’ll call me, asking me to go. And I can’t say no to Maddox because he never says no to me.

“If you’d rather call for a tow, that’s fine.” A faint smirk settles on his lips. “But let me give you a little heads-up.”

“What about?”

“It’s almost seven o’clock on a Friday night. Tucker, your savior tow truck driver, is currently occupying the last barstool at the Wet Whistle, knocking back cold ones left and right. He ain’t coming to get you until tomorrow afternoon at best. So if you wanna wait it out, I’d find a blanket. It gets cold around here at night.”

He knows he made his point. The smugness in his features gives him away.

I wish I was ballsy enough to wait for Tucker or, at the very least, call this guy’s bluff. Unfortunately for me, I listen to too many crime podcasts, I’m scared of the dark, and I really, reallyjust want to get to the hotel tonight and take a hot bath.

“Suit yourself,” he says, turning like he’s going to leave.

“Wait.”

Against my better judgment, I unlock the door. I climb out of the car before I can think about it.

That’s my second mistake today.
