My instincts had always served me well. Listening to my gut, the warning voice in my head that told me when to walk away. I never failed to heed the signs. Until the day she walked into my office. I knew she would be trouble, but I ignored the alarm bells. And then it was too late, and I fell. Hard. A lie tore us apart, and I thought I’d lost her forever. But now she’s back—with a secret she’s been keeping. This time, I’m not letting her go.

The Copper Valley Thrusters Series Author: Pippa Grant
Genre: Romantic Comedy
#1 The Pilot & the Puck Up
He’s the biggest, baddest, most spider-fearing motherpucker on the ice…
When you’re named after the king of the gods, the world expects certain things of you.
Tough? Damn right.
Smart? Don’t let the hockey uniform fool you.
Large and in charge? Honey, I’m the biggest, baddest, mother pucking-est machine to ever own the ice. I shoot. I score. In and out of the rink. I don’t come early, but I come often, if you know what I mean. And I always leave the ladies wanting more.
Until that chick last night.
I’m no one-thrust wonder, and you’re damn right I’m going to prove to her I can do better. But every time I think I’m finally on my way back into her pants, she one-ups and out-balls me.
I should cut my losses, lick my wounds, and walk away.
But Zeus Berger doesn’t walk away from anything.
Especially when she’s the only woman in the world who might be able to handle me.
The Pilot and the Puck-Up is a standalone romantic comedy featuring a hockey player whose ego is the only thing bigger than his shoe size, the most badass woman to ever fly a plane, rubber chockey (don’t ask), and no cheating or cliffhangers.
A hockey-playing prince, a most improper lady, and one accidental pregnancy…
When you’re an heir so spare that getting attacked by a shark is more likely than you ever wearing the crown, you’re only allowed certain liberties. Yet still, those liberties can bite you in the ass.
Good thing I’m such a charming devil.
Even then, I’ve been banished to America for a year under the pretense of playing professional hockey while my father cleans up my latest mess. But trouble follows me wherever I go. Generally trouble of the beautiful female variety, and Gracie Diamonte is no exception. Or possibly, she’s the best exception.
Until the dinosaur suit. The cookie incident. And the accidental pregnancy.
Of course I’ll do the right thing.
Just as soon as I solve that pesky problem of my royal betrothal.
I’m about to be the biggest scandal to rock my country and there’s a good chance my father may throw me to the sharks after all. The funny thing is I’ve heard that raising children may not be so different from swimming with the sharks. So no matter how you look at things I am Royally Pucked.
Royally Pucked is a hilariously wrong romance between a spare heir and the lady least likely to ever wear a princess crown, complete with dirty cookies, an emotional support monkey, and lots of pucking around. This romantic comedy stands alone with no cheating, cliffhangers and ends happily with a family of…more than two.
There are two kinds of women in the world – those I can bang, and those I can’t.
My teammate’s sister?
She’s a can’t.
I moved in with her to protect her from a nasty ex, not to be the next guy in line.
She’s the brains.
I’m the brawn.
She’s the fruit.
I’m the sausage.
She talks too much.
I don’t talk at all, if I don’t have to.
Should be easy to resist her.
But every minute I spend with Felicity is another minute she gets under my skin. She makes me feel like something more than a dumb puckhead with a big Zamboni pony. And it’s getting harder to remember why I need to keep my hands to myself.
Beauty and the Beefcake is a vegan-friendly standalone romantic comedy featuring a hockey player whose vocabulary is the only thing smaller than a hockey puck, a book smart but aimless ventriloquist with too many voices in her head, a dilapidated old house that may or may not be haunted, and no cheating or cliffhangers.
Nick Murphy. Hockey god. My best friend’s big brother. My friend-with-mindblowing-benefits. The best thing to happen to my nether regions since my subscription to the toy of the month club. The man I’ve been secretly in love with for years.
And total ass.
I am so done with him.
Except there’s one small problem.
Now that I’ve cut him off, his hockey game is in the toilet. He’s convinced I’m his good luck charm, and he wants me back. But only for his game.
I’ll be strong. I will. I’ll resist.
Asses don’t change their stripes.
Or do they?
This plan would be so easy if the man wasn’t Charming as Puck…
Charming as Puck is a romping fun romance between a hockey player and his sister’s best friend, complete with farm animals, epic birthday presents, and Berger Twin sightings. This romantic comedy stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers and ends with a pucking awesome happily ever after.
You know those stories where an adorably misunderstood clumsy girl needs a fake date to a wedding so she asks her brother’s best friend and they accidentally fall in love?
I wish that was the kind of life I lead, but it’s not.
I don’t need a date to a wedding. I need a date to a funeral.
Clumsy sometimes fits, but then, that’s true for all of us, right? But adorable? No. Misunderstood? Nope again. I’m just your average girl, standing in front of a funeral invitation, asking it to be a winning lottery ticket instead.
And I don’t have a brother, or a best friend with a brother available, which means I’m stuck with Tyler Jaeger.
Sure, he’s a professional hockey player who also knows advanced calculus, but let’s say we’re not compatible and leave it at that. I should know. I am a matchmaker.
Not a very good one, but that’s beside the point.
I know a mismatch when I see one.
Still, Tyler’s what I’ve got, and I am not going to this funeral solo, so he’s what I’ll take.
After all—what could go wrong at a funeral?
I Pucking Love You is a hilariously wrong romantic comedy about the world’s worst matchmaker, a hockey player with a problem he doesn’t want to talk about, and an awkward date-of-convenience that everyone would prefer to forget. It comes complete with a cat working his way through his nine lives, all the sexy times, fish and chips, and a swoony happily-ever-after.
Pippa Grant is a USA Today Bestselling author who writes romantic comedies that will make tears run down your leg. When she’s not reading, writing or sleeping, she’s being crowned employee of the month as a stay-at-home mom and housewife trying to prepare her adorable demon spawn to be productive members of society, all the while fantasizing about long walks on the beach with hot chocolate chip cookies.
Nothing But Ink, an all-new sweet and sexy Montgomery Ink: Boulder Novella from New York Times bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan and 1,001 Dark Nights is available now!
New York Times bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan returns to the Montgomery Ink world with Nothing but Ink.
Clay Hollins knows he needs to stay away from Riggs Kennedy. He doesn’t have time to fall for the bearded bartender that haunts his dreams and waking fantasies. Not only is he working long hours at his dream job with Montgomery Builders, but he’s raising his three cousins and they need him more than he needs a private life.
After one night of giving in, however, neither Riggs nor Clay can walk away.
Only their lives are chaotic with baggage from Riggs’ past and Clay’s present and taking a chance on each other might be the scariest yet best decision they ever make.
**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.**
I should be wondering what the hell I was doing, yet I wasn’t going to ask that question of myself. I wasn’t going to question this. For once, I would think of myself and do what I wanted. Damn the consequences. “The number of thoughts running over your face right now could tell a story. Or maybe it’s a whole novel,” Riggs observed as he came to me with a glass in hand. I looked down at the golden liquid in the lowball glass, then up at him. “Honey whiskey?” “You know it.” Riggs sat next to me on his couch, and I let out a hushed breath, wondering how the hell I was here. I wasn’t some young kid. I had been on dates before. I had slept with a man before. It didn’t mean that I knew what the fuck I was doing now, though. “Cheers.” Riggs held up his glass, and I touched mine to his before taking a sip of my whiskey. The sweet taste slid over my tongue, and I swallowed, wondering if I should just toss the rest back. “Don’t you dare do it like a tequila shot,” Riggs stated with a laugh. I winced, then held back a laugh at what Riggs was referring to. The Montgomerys in Fort Collins loved their tequila and were damn good with it. “You know I like tequila as much as the next guy, but those Montgomerys sure can drink it.” Riggs snorted. “It’s a little scary, to be honest. And none of them are assholes about it. They can do shots without lime or even making that weird face, and then let their designated driver or rideshare take them home. There’s no fighting. There’s no random backslapping or dancing on tabletops. They can handle their tequila. Just like I know you can handle your whiskey.” Riggs took another sip of his, and I did my best not to watch his throat work as he swallowed. It was hard to think with him right there. With me right here. He was so close, and I still couldn’t believe I was here in his house. I wasn’t at home dealing with homework, picking up backpacks or shoes, or tucking in a kid for the evening. When was the last time I’d had an evening just for myself? The fact that I had to ask that told me I should have thought about it long ago.

Adryan
I was ruthless, brutal. A sociopath by all accounts. The leader of the American Vampire Clan, a male who all feared because I was merciless. And then I found my mate. Kayla. So fragile. Breakable. So human. I’d make her mine, and she’d hate me for it. I wanted to give her pain with pleasure, wanted to break her skin and lick up the blood I spilled… take Kayla into me like she’d take me into her. I’d have her surrendering to my needs. I’d give her my body but wouldn’t be able to give her my heart. How could I when it wasn’t something I had to offer, when I was nothing but a coldhearted killer? So when the threats come to my front door, it’s time to show my female she’s mated to the most dangerous vampire in the world.
“So if I’m playing along and accept that you’re a vampire”—holy shit, how weird did that sound?—“how old are you? Like Dracula old, or are we talking decrepit like Nosferatu?” He tipped his head back and laughed loud and hard, his thickly corded neck coming into view. His Adam’s apple bobbed for a second before he sobered. “One hundred twenty years.” It was my turn to sober so hard and fast I might have died. “Goddamn,” I murmured. “You take ‘robbing the cradle’ to a whole new level. You do know I’m not even twenty-five?” He hummed as if that turned him on. “You could have been old and wasted away when we first met, and I’d still find you the most gorgeous female to ever walk the planet.” Okay. That was… beautiful. And weird. Definitely weird, but whatever. “You don’t eat?” I asked instead of saying anything in response to that. My voice was a squeaky whisper before I cleared it and pulled my shoulders back. Adryan made sure to keep his glass full, and damn him for even making that look sexy. He leaned back in his chair but didn’t respond, just watched me as he lifted his glass, peering at me over the rim, and took a pull of the alcohol. When he set the crystal down, his fingers still wrapped loosely around it, the smirk he gave me had equal parts of annoyance and arousal raging against each other. “Oh, I eat.” He was still smirking as he lowered his gaze down my body. He couldn’t see much because of how the table was situated, but I knew if he could, he’d be looking at one particular spot. “I’m just not eating right now, kitty. I’m more concerned with you and your needs.” I cleared my throat and shifted on the chair, looking everywhere but at him. Stay focused. Stay focused. “So why don’t you tell me what kind of man you are.” Of course I knew, or at least had a pretty good notion by the way he held himself, the things he said, hell, the clear abundance of money, judging by his place. Then there was the whole “import and export” business that seemed super shady, given his evasiveness about it. I expected him to smirk arrogantly again, but his expression stayed stoic. “What kind of man do you think I am?” I pursed my lips. “You want me to be honest?” “Abso-f*cking-lutely. I don’t ever lie and wouldn’t want my mate to either.” My throat was so tight and dry. “I think you do bad stuff.” He didn’t respond, didn’t even breathe. “You’re a criminal, among other things, and you’re not going to let me leave.” “No.” His tone was so… final. “I won’t let you leave. And yes. I am all those things… and more.” My eyes narrowed at his cockiness. “You’re an arrogant assh*le.” “I am.” He grinned slowly. “But that’s one of the nicer things I’ve been called, princess.”
Starting out as an avid reader, Jenika took up penning her first story and published it in 2009. Since then, she’s written books in just about every trope and sub-genre in romance.
Lexi Martin is on the eve of her birthday and all she has to show for it is debt, a crappy apartment, a nonexistent social life, and a somewhat evil cat. So maybe she might be excused for thinking the extraordinarily hot fireman in her office might be an early birthday present from her roommate. Except that Dyson O’Neil isn’t a stripper. He’s a real firefighter. Aaaand excuse me while I burn in the fires of humiliation.
Dyson hasn’t believed in love for a long time. But between his reputation as “One Night O’Neil” and his matchmaking sisters, he needs to make a bold move. And so he makes Lexi an offer. He’ll help her youth center pass a fire safety inspection—if she’ll pretend to be his girlfriend. But one kiss in and he’s in over his head.
Now their sizzling kisses are far from fake, and it’s a disaster. Because that means the heat between Lexi and Dyson is real. And where there’s smoke, someone’s heart will definitely be going down in flames…

Excerpt
“Adele.” Rafe catches my elbows to steady me as I bounce off his immovable form.
I’m more flustered than a misstep calls for, but it’s only because my nerves were already ragged over asking Rafe for a job, and now that I’ve decided I don’t actually want the job, I feel somehow caught.
“Rafe,” I manage to say. Don’t be nervous. Imagine him naked.
Trouble is, I imagine Rafe naked far too much.
He’s still holding my elbows, standing far too close. Rafe’s not as Hollywood good-looking as his brother Lance, who recently knocked up my friend Charlie. His hair is darker. His eyes are green. Lance is charming in that laidback, lazy smile kind of way. Rafe is the opposite. No charm. Definitely not laidback. There’s a ruggedness and ferocity about him that makes being around him feel terribly dangerous.
Dangerous, intense, and… exciting.
He’s the kind of guy you’d want on your side, not against it. Last week, when my business partner turned up dead, Charlie got kidnapped, and I was picked up by the police for questioning, I learned exactly how powerful it is to have a guy like him in my court.
So I’m already beholden to Rafe.
Something I hate. Don’t trust a man …
“I—um—I was just leaving.”
“You were?” His brows go down, gaze sweeps over me. “It looks like you just got here.” His eyes snag on my high heeled boots. “You walk in the snow in those?”
“Yes?” Why did I make that sound like a question? Something about his surly black brows makes me uncertain. I clear my throat and try again. “Yes, of course.”
“You need to be more careful. Those boots aren’t good in the snow.” And there it is, the most annoying thing about Rafe. He orders everyone around. The fact that he’s always in fatigue pants and a gray or army green Henley doesn’t lessen his drill sergeant vibe. Neither does the way he stands and looks down on everyone, like a general inspecting his troops and finding us all wanting. I think it’s great he had a military career—when I first met him, I thanked him for his service—but he’s not the boss of me!
I’m tempted to declare that and stomp my boots like I’m four, but that won’t help him take me seriously. Or land me a job.
“Are you meeting someone?” Rafe asks.
“No. Um, yes. Ah—” I shake my head. I’m on the spot here, not sure whether to flee or beg. Neither idea appeals.
Of course, he doesn’t make it easy for me. He releases my elbows to put his hands on his hips, like I’m in trouble, and now I have to answer to him.
Screw this. I can’t work for him.
“Nothing. Nevermind. I have to go.” I try to move past him, but he moves to block my path.
“Hang on a second. Were you here to see me? Or did something happen?” He scans the restaurant with a scowl, as if to identify some mystery offender who was rude to me.
Shoot. Maybe I am supposed to ask him for a job. I mean, here he is, insisting I explain myself.
“Rafe, I—”
At the sound of his name, his gaze snaps back to mine, locking and honing in. When I nervously lick the lip gloss off my lips, his gaze dips to my mouth. A hungry expression comes over his face.
God, I’m hungry, too. And not for food.
Every time I’m near this guy, a slow thrum of awareness tunes up between my legs. His big body, hard and solid with muscle, his dark hair and eyes… I gaze up at him, and it’s all too easy to imagine what it would be like to be underneath him. He’d probably order me, as bossy and dominant in bed as he is out.
And wouldn’t that be delicious?
No, no, no. I absolutely do not want Rafe, naked and looming over me, telling me what to do. That would be terrible.
Gawd, my panties are soaked. Time to get this conversation back on track. I take a second to remember how much Rafe annoys me and raise my chin.
“Honestly?” I say. “I came to see if you, um, still needed help. You know, in the kitchen. I’m, ah, not going to be able to reopen The Chocolatier at the moment.”
Rafe goes still, his brows angled together in concern.
It’s way more of a reaction than I expected from him. I don’t know what I thought he’d do—blow me off or tell me to fill out an application. But instead, he grabs my hand and draws me further into the Grille. “Come here,” he says gruffly.

BLP REVIEW – Tracy
I’m not always a huge fan of ‘wealthy leading man’ stories but Only Ever Yours was a really great read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Camilla and Issac were a great pairing. He was a good guy, very protective and exactly what Camilla needed. I really liked his character and how he cared for her from the get go. Yeah, it was insta-love but I’m good with that. Camilla was beaten down but wasn’t for giving up. Her strength of character made her a great lead. I get her desire to do things in her own but also liked that when the chips were down she was prepared to accept help.
A few twists, some angst and a few very unlikeable characters added to this story. I loved the chemistry, connection and heat between our leads. Nikki Ash has a talent in this field and she hit the mark again with Only Ever Yours.
A solid 4* recommended read.
