When she breaks down in tears, I do that only thing I can think of. I make a split-second decision to be her boyfriend for the wedding and get Hugo off her back. I figure it’s helping her out but for me it’s the perfect opportunity to convince her I’m not the same guy I used to be.

I want her to know I’m the man she deserves and I’m going to put everything on the line to get her to be mine.

I’ve been looking forward to this book since I finished Inside the Penalty Box.

We were given hints that Lorelai & Know had some kind of history and I was intrigued, to say the least.

There were a couple of things standing in this pairs way in the past…. an age gap, Knox being the best friends of her big brother and him thinking Lorelai is better off with someone else.

It’s difficult to avoid the other now that Lorelai is working for the Dominators and even more so now that they’re both attending her brothers wedding.
They end up on the same flight – both thinking the other was travelling with the group earlier – sitting next to each other (which made for fun reading) and Lorelai ends up spilling the tea about her ex and how he’s kinda harassing her to talk to him..

After discovering what was going on Knox proposes a fake relationship to help Lorelai get through the weekend without having to worry about her ex and his new girlfriend.

There’s a definite attraction between them and even though she tries to avoid it, Lorelai knows she still has feeling for Knox. He’s always liked her but between the ‘bro code’ and her being younger he didn’t want to overstep. Things are different now and Knox’s feeling for Lorelai grow the longer their ‘relationship’ runs.

We had a few things going on that meant the path to being together wasn’t smooth sailing but Knox’s determination and Lorelai working out what she wanted helped them towards the future they deserved.

There was great banter, so much sexual tension and heat that made Ten Minute Muscibduct a great read. I really liked most of the characters but I have to say I detested Lorelai’s ex and her brother was a bit of a disappointment to be honest. Phil really should have dealt with the guy and supported his sister.

Can’t wait for what’s next in this series.

We just knew Jason Brewer was gonna give Ren a run for his money and boy did he!!!!!

Jason & Chloe have been friends for a long time but only reconnected a few years ago when they met again and Chloe came to work for Brewer Air.

Jason has been dealing with a lot following the drama with his father and has pretty much been all about work. He’s been really interested in Chloe since they reconnected but was under the impression she had a boyfriend so didn’t act on his feelings.
Chloe loves her job, she’s great at what she does, it gives her the means to care for her grandma and she likes the people she works with. The banter between the pair of them was fab and I liked how much they cared about each other.

A fake marriage was not something either of them saw coming but in no time at all, both realised what they wanted. It felt like the push they needed as they’d been circling round each other for some time and without the ‘marriage’ they might never have gotten anywhere.
Jason is the one his siblings turn to when they need help, advise or support but who supported him? Chloe was exactly what and who he needed.
Chloe’s opinion on marriage and love were quite different from Jason’s going into the relationship but something happens that makes Chloe realize what and who is important to her.
This pair were fire together and the heat was intense!

I like catching up with characters we’ve previously met in a series and this time was no different. Those Brewer brothers are entertaining when they all get together.
I adored Chloe’s grandma and Jason’s relationship with her.

I’m loving this series and cannot wait for the next Brewer story.

Melanie Moreland writes great characters to the point that each book I read I think, they’re my faves…. so of course that was my reaction when I finished Full Throttle BUT in all honesty, Dom & Cherry’s book IS my favourite Reynolds Restoration instalment!

I’ve been itching to get to know this couple since we met them in Chase & Hannah’s book, especially after a particular couple of scenes that had me laughing and wondering just how close this pair were getting!

Dom appears at first glance to be a bad boy and someone who isn’t looking for anything serious. However, we all know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover!
I really loved Dom. He’d found a family with Max & Charly and the guys and their partners within the garage. He got in and came across as open, loyal and helpful, but this guy had secrets that he kept tucked close to his heart and told no one.

Cherry hadn’t had an easy life, raising her daughter on her own after a tragic loss. She did everything for Hannah but she was a bit of an afterthought, even to herself. I loved how Dom pushed and encouraged her to make her rethink her place and to realise that she was allowed to put herself first at times.

The banter between these two was fab. The heat was intense and they were spicy when they got together!!! It was awesome watching them go from strangers to more and even though the story takes place over a relatively short time span I got where they were coming from. I think I liked them all the more because the characters were nearer my own age and I could appreciate their thought process when it came to certain things.

There were some issues they both had to work through and it was great seeing them pull together, supporting the other when for so long they had both felt alone, even with people around them!

I’m sorry to see this series end but it went out in a high and I loved the epilogue and the catch up it gave us!!!!

I love Kait Nolan’s books. Being a Scot I’m especially enamoured with her stories set in my home country.

I’ve been looking forward to the Special Ops Scots series since the Kilted Hearts series wrapped up.

One Fine Night was a fabulous introduction to Ciara and Alex.

Alex is a complete mystery. We don’t know why he’s left the military and I’m looking forward to finding out his story.
Ciara is herself uncertain of her future and what she really wants to do. I’m hoping she returns home to Glenlaig and it’ll be interesting seeing how things turn out for her.

This pair really are destined to be together but you just know that Kait is not gonna make their path to a HEA an easy one…. with the help of Ewan, Ciara’s big brother and Alex’s friend, obviously! 😈

A great kickstart to this new series. I can’t wait for their story to continue.

I LOVED this book…. I was intrigued when we were introduced to the Korhonen family in Cole’s book and couldn’t wait to find out what they were all about when the spin-off series was announced.

Zee & Colt were just, yeah, they were everything!!
I kinda wanted to dislike Colton but when we discovered what had happened ten years prior and why he reacted the way he did it was nigh on impossible to dislike him at all.

Colt was a protector and that was obvious in both present day and flashbacks. His connection to Zee started more than a decade prior and even though they hadn’t had any contact in the ten years since they last saw each other the flame was still burning for both of them even if they each had their own reasons and secrets that gave them reasons to keep the gulf between them from closing.

Zee (Suzanne) had had a torrid time and had left Pigeon Creek and her family’s ranch with literally no intention of ever returning, this was a place she no longer considered home for multiple reasons.
I felt for her when she realised the depths of the arrangement her grandmother had schemed with the head of the Korhonen family. I understood her demands and her reasoning behind her thoughts but I was delighted when things between her and Colt started to improve and the hints of the people they were before started to appear.

There were more than a few things going on in this book and the plot was well done. There were secrets, lies and some skullduggery that kept me guessing and certain side characters that I just could not stand.
I had concerns that there was gonna be a communication issue (one of my pet peeves in a book) between our MCs but Colt & Zee built a level of trust that had them keeping (most) lines of communication open. I spent a lot of the read waiting for the other shoe to drop and when it did, it was not quite what I was expecting, but it was delicious!!!! 😈😈😈

I adored Callan and his relationship with Zee was fab. I loved how Colt looked out for his baby brother but still treated him as an important part of the ranch and family.

I’m so looking forward to Cody’s book. The guy has me tied up in knots wondering what’s happened with him.

The epilogues…. They just finished the book so well in my opinion.

This book was 5 solid stars for me and a book I can definitely see myself reading again in the future!

BLP REVIEW – Tracy

I wasn’t entirely sure what to make of Avery when I read The Tropical Romance Test and having not read the Hollywood Marriage Bargain I hadn’t encountered her character previously. I must say though that I really did like her.

There was so much more to her than she let people see which, given her profession and abrupt departure from her wedding and the furore that caused, was understandable.

Avery was just a girl who had a big dream that she had escaped her past and worked so hard for and she’d never considered there might be more out there for her. Hitting BlackBerry Cove to hideout until her latest personal storm blew over gave her more than a little breathing space and started a potential new chapter for her. I loved seeing the real Avery flourish and realise what she wanted from life.

Duke….. the gods, the guy was a grump but a sweet cinnamon roll covered in icing grump once you got past his walls. His past lent to how he was now when it came to letting people in, which was understandable when we learned what his ex was like. He didn’t give the best impression when Avery arrived in the Cove but as the story progressed we got a front seat to just how caring, considerate and supportive he was – and OMG, he was even better than I expected him to be!!!
The thing was, even when he was trying to dislike Avery you just knew he was interested in her. Their attraction and spark grew with each interaction and felt like a neon sign that neither of them initially wanted to acknowledge!!!

Loved the supporting characters and just how fun this book was. Lila has given us another great read in the Hollywood Bachelors series!!!

I’m gonna be going back to read the couple of books I’ve missed so far in the series.

Ellodie and Quaid were just meant to be….. but their road to getting to a happy future was not an easy one!!!!

Quaid is a policeman who is trying to catch a suspect when he first encounters Ellodie. He runs into her again at the end of a disastrous date she’s had and the third time he’s at the hospital where she’s a nurse to investigate some thefts.
Each time there’s a spark, an interest and a definite connection.
These Carter men know what and who they want and I’m enjoying watching them try to catch the women they fall for.

Ellodie made a New Year’s resolution to go on dates to see if she could find Mr Right, she signed up to a dating app but it appeared that along with catching a few Mr Definitely-Not-Rights she might have also caught the interest of Mr Stalker-possibly Serial Killer and now she’s on Quaid’s radar for more than his attraction to her,

Although there’s a lot of heat and humour in the series this book, especially towards the end, was a hard read at times. There was a lot of bad stuff that happened and while I thought I knew who the monster was, LLV did well to make me second guess myself a time or two.

I’m enjoying this series. The Carter siblings/family are entertaining, are all up in each others business but they’re a tight group who have each others backs (and that of their significant others) when things get tough.

Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I’m first and foremost a PNR lover, though with the amount small town sports romances I’ve been devouring lately you’d maybe be hard pressed to realize that!!!!
With Secret Pucking Unicorn, Jenny Fenshaw reminded me why I love the paranormal genre and shifters in particular!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in The Paranormal Hockey League series and I adored Mac/Declan when he was supporting and trying to help Burke with his love life woes.
Little did I realize that our MMC would have so much more on his own plate to deal with!!!!

I loved the fact that there was more to Declan’s shifter traits than normal and the gods, how sweet was he that he knew for so long that Miranda was his mate and he gave her time and distance to get to where she needed time before he declared his feelings! He was definitely all hot cinnamon roll hero!

My heart hurt for Miranda. She just got settled into a new life that she was enjoying when it all just imploded!
Her parents, especially her mother, OMFG…. how could one woman be so cold towards her only child?!?! I hated the truths that came out but I loved the support Miranda realized she had and how that made her feel.
I have to admit that at one point I was yelling at her to think, pay attention and work out what was happening….. even when I was pretty sure I knew what was going on and that she couldn’t get it all straight in her head. I know that doesn’t make a lot of sense right now, but once you read the book it will be crystal and make all the sense!!!!! 😉😁

Mac’s sister….. oh how I wanted to smack her upside the head… she’s like a tornado and while she annoyed me a tad in SPU, when it comes to her book I think she’ll possibly be frustratingly entertaining and I’m pretty certain her bravado and bluster is pretty much a front! 🤔

This team of shifters are so much fun and they’re truly beginning to feel like a family, not just teammates. I cannot wait for more in the series (and just more in general from Jenny!!)…

For me, this is a definite 5 star read and one I’d recommend you give a go!!!!
