Her eyes narrow on me and for a moment I see rebellion, but then there’s a softening of her expression that I know to be the first hints of submission.

BLP REVIEW – TRACY

Book one in the spin off series from the Carmel Cove books and I’m hoping it’s a sign of things to come with the Covington Brothers and their security company!! Rebecca Sharp is now solidly on my ‘go-to’ author list!

We had an inking there was history between Ace and Addison and that something bad had happened to her in the past. This book explains all of that and addresses the attraction and so far unacknowledged chemistry between the pair.

There was a fair bit going on in this story and it was well written, well paced and kept me riveted from the start. I loved how protective Ace was of Addie even though she is as independent and stubborn as they come. Their interactions were packed with so much heat, even when they were not getting on or agreeing on things, and it was hard to not see them getting together, that is if things didn’t go sideways at some point in the drama that was surrounding them!

I can’t wait to meet the rest of the Covington guys and I’m sure this series is gonna be a favourite of mine going forward.

Betrayed is a solid 5* read and definitely recommended….. but I’d say, personally, if you’re gonna read it, check out the Carmel Cove books beforehand….they might help a little with background to characters we see again in this book but, in all honesty that aside, I’d say give them a go as they too are excellent reads!!!
