I love Kait Nolanโs books. Being a Scot Iโm especially enamoured with her stories set in my home country.
Iโve been looking forward to the Special Ops Scots series since the Kilted Hearts series wrapped up.
One Fine Night was a fabulous introduction to Ciara and Alex.
Alex is a complete mystery. We donโt know why heโs left the military and Iโm looking forward to finding out his story.
Ciara is herself uncertain of her future and what she really wants to do. Iโm hoping she returns home to Glenlaig and itโll be interesting seeing how things turn out for her.
This pair really are destined to be together but you just know that Kait is not gonna make their path to a HEA an easy oneโฆ. with the help of Ewan, Ciaraโs big brother and Alexโs friend, obviously! ๐
A great kickstart to this new series. I canโt wait for their story to continue.

โTheyโre not home,โ he says. He looks down like a kid whoโs been told that their friend canโt come out to play. โMaybe I really do need a wife,โ he jokes.
At least I think itโs a joke, but when I look at him, heโs not grinning like he usually does. He looks away as if heโs deep in thought.
โWomen have enough problems without one of us taking you on as a husband. You do you know you have to keep your pants zipped if youโre married, right?โ I ask, horrified at the idea of him marrying a poor unsuspecting woman.
โYouโre awfully concerned about what goes on in my pants.โ He grins. โI wonder why that is?โ He puts his hands on his hips and gyrates.
โIn your dreams. Nobody likes community diโโ I stop when Aiden clears his throat and gestures at Jasmine.
โNot in front of my goddaughter,โ he admonishes.
