RELEASE BLITZ – Back Stage by T. Gephart

Title: Back Stage

Author: T. Gephart

Blurb

Rock Star? Angie Morelli was not one. Growing up next to Power Station’s drummer didn’t guarantee a taste of the limelight, unless you count catcalls at low paying gigs in seedy bars and second-rate venues. She was okay with that; working her ass off at her dad’s mechanic shop during the day meant she could live her dream at night. She didn’t need Power Station waltzing back into her life, Jason Irwin had done enough damage the first time. Could she let go of her hurt for a chance of hitting the big time?A one-night stand right before Jason Irwin left for his big break was no big deal. Except it wasn’t just any girl— it was Angie, Troy’s hot but young and inexperienced neighbor. It should never have happened, so best he pretend like it didn’t. Ten years later he remembered exactly why he went down that road. She was even hotter and she was also pissed as hell. Sounded like the perfect combination to invite on their world tour.

The road was not the place for history. It was bound to get ugly.

Excerpt

“Hey what about Angie Morelli?” Troy rubbed his hand through his mohawk, the mess of crap he called hair.

Angie Morelli. Yep, just saying her name was enough to send a chill up my spine. It had been ten years, and still not long enough. Her long, black hair and dark-brown eyes, something that had taken a while to wipe from my mind. That body. Yeah, I still remembered every curve. So freaking sweet, too. Unfortunately it wasn’t only her attributes that I remembered, one of my biggest asshole moments was also front and center getting the trip down memory lane. So you would have to understand why I didn’t immediately start doing backflips and welcoming her. The idea was to avoid the drama, not to give it top freaking billing.

“Dude, no. No fucking way,” Dan chimed in, his words echoing exactly what was rattling around in my head.

Thank you, douchebag. An Angie reunion was bad news. There had to be someone else. Hey, was Charlie Manson out of prison yet? I mean if we were thinking up bad ideas to take on tour, we might as well put them all on the table.

“She’s still playing?” James tipped his head toward Troy, taking way more interest in the topic than I would have liked. The itch to shut the conversation down danced with the need to keep my mouth shut. Delicate act. Wasn’t sure which one was going to win. Honestly, it was going to be trouble either way.

“Sure is. Lexi is trying to sign her band, Black Addiction; saw them last week at a club in Brooklyn. She said they packed the house.” Troy threw some more weight behind the cause. The conversation continued around me, even as the mother of all headaches took up residence in my frontal lobe.

“I saw her stuff on You Tube, they’re tight.” Alex nodded, the bastard not having any idea on what he was signing us up for, and I wasn’t going to be neon-signing it for him either.

“C’mon! Angie?” Dan rolled his eyes, throwing his hands up in disgust. “Troy, did you snort some of Wade’s nose candy before he left? She doesn’t have the chops for a stadium. Besides, she hates us.”

Had to admit, this was one time where I was happy for Dan to be running his mouth. Giving him a round of applause would have been too conspicuous, so I kept it on the down low, but I was a hundred percent behind his stance. The fact it wasn’t me who was leading the anti-Angie movement was a fucking bonus.

“No, she hates you.” Troy smirked. The Dan v Angie battles common knowledge.

“No, she fucking hates Jase, too.”

The motherfucker had to go there. He couldn’t have left it with his own reasons for not wanting her around. He had to go ahead and drag me into it.

“Hate is a pretty strong word, let’s go with a strong dislike.” I eased back into the chair knowing well enough that it wasn’t going to be the last on the topic I was going to have to volunteer. Fucking Dan.

“Dan I understand, but why you, Jase?” Troy’s raised eyebrow proving he had no idea what had happened between me and his sexy, barely legal neighbor before we’d hit the big time.

At least Dan had managed to keep a lid on it for longer than I’d ever imagined; I’d always had my suspicions that he’d spilled one time or another, but seems to be those concerns were unfounded. Who knew he had it in him. In the end, the violence was still happening. I’d just make sure I didn’t punch him above the neck, keep the SOB pretty for the fans.

“Long story.” Well at least it wasn’t a total lie. “Let’s just say I’m not her favorite person and move on, shall we.” The less I said about the subject the better. Besides, it was fucking years ago. Why the hell were we dredging it all up now?

“I heard she has a voodoo doll of you.” Dan stretched out his arms, anchoring them behind his head, his grin splitting off the side of his face. “Tell me, asswipe, do you feel any stabbing pain in your cock?”

Author Bio
T Gephart is an indie author from Melbourne, Australia.T’s approach to life has been somewhat unconventional. Rather than going to University, she jumped on a plane to Los Angeles, USA in search of adventure. While this first trip left her somewhat underwhelmed and largely depleted of funds it fueled her appetite for travel and life experience. With a rather eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history, T struggled to find her niche in the world.

While on a subsequent trip the United States in 1999, T met and married her husband. Their whirlwind courtship and interesting impromptu convenience store wedding set the tone for their life together, which is anything but ordinary. They have lived in Louisiana, Guam and Australia and have traveled extensively throughout the US. T has two beautiful young children and one four legged child, Woodley, the wonder dog.

An avid reader, T became increasingly frustrated by the lack of strong female characters in the books she was reading. She wanted to read about a woman she could identify with, someone strong, independent and confident and who didn’t lack femininity. Out of this need, she decided to pen her first book, A Twist of Fate. T set herself the challenge to write something that was interesting, compelling and yet easy enough to read that was still enjoyable. Pulling from her own past “colorful” experiences and the amazing personalities she has surrounded herself with, she had no shortage of inspiration. With a strong slant on erotic fiction, her core characters are empowered women who don’t have to sacrifice their femininity. She enjoyed the process so much that when it was over she couldn’t let it go.

T loves to travel, laugh and surround herself with colorful characters. This inevitably spills into her writing and makes for an interesting journey – she is well and truly enjoying the ride!

Based on her life experiences, T has plenty of material for her books and has a wealth of ideas to keep you all enthralled.

Release Day Blitz & Review for Crash Ride by T. Gephart

Title: Crash Ride
Series: Power Station #2
Author: T. Gephart
 Release Date: February 19, 2015

Synopsis

Megan Winters had lusted over Troy Harris, drummer for international rock band Power Station, for years. Not being the type of girl who was invited backstage, her fantasies had stayed just that, fantasies. When her best friend unexpectedly starts dating one of the other band members it puts her on a crash course at war with her libido. Her solution— they need to have sex. Surely once she had
scratched that itch, and saw the fantasy didn’t live up to the reality she could move on. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

Troy Harris vowed to stay away from Megs. The sexy, smart and funny blonde left his mind and his body feeling like a pretzel. No matter how attracted he was to her, she was a no-go zone. The best friend of his best friend’s girlfriend? Cue the reality show. But when she gives him the chance to have a one-night no strings good time, there was no way he could turn that down. Maybe she was right. One night, and then they could go back to being just friends.

Both of them were delusional.

Book two of the Power Station series.

BLP REVIEW ~ REBECCA

Well Fuck.

Yep.

That’s it.

Nothing else to say.

EXCEPT

HOW the hell did I not read T Gephart before?????

I’m lying of course because, as usual, I have something to say! But I am scratching my head this morning wondering how on earth I missed her. I started this yesterday but stayed up until the early hours of this morning to finish it. One hit, I could not put it down. I’ve been a little bored and jaded lately when reading rockers, bikers and billionaires because the whole bloody ebook market is so over saturated – quantity of choice, but not always so much quality – so to come across not only a book that was such addictive reading when I had no expectations at all was a surprise, for it to be a rocker book just shows its calibre, this is going to be a favourite without doubt. The book and the author.

^^^^^ This was the start of my review for High Strung last year which was my first outing with T Gephart and the start of the Power Station books, every single word applies this time round and the only way to start this one off is………………….

WELL FUCK. CAPS LOCK. FUCKITY FUCK FUCK FUCK.

This is because the more excited I get the more profanity I use, not going to apologise for it as I’m too old and cantankerous to be bothered to change my ways and the reason for the amount of fucks given is the excitement I can’t contain after finishing Crash Ride. Because I loved it. Full on, scary joker smile as I was reading, all the way through. It’s that good. Funny, sexy, sarky & smart ass, loving, poignant and full of feels, Crash Ride was just a joy from start to finish.

Surely once she had scratched that itch, and saw the fantasy didn’t live up to the reality she could move on.

I really connected with Megs and Troy Harris (he has to have full name used, just go with it and read the book!) both separately and as a couple. The attraction and chemistry between them is off the charts hot, it scorches the pages and when combined with the humour that Ms Gephart weaves so effortlessly it’s just delicious. Hot as fuck (yes, another fuck I give!) but with a sexy sweetness that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. No dips, no loss of interest, nothing but a rollercoaster fast ride that makes you scream along with Megs for faster, harder, more.

If anything was going to make me forget my crap-tastic day at work, it was Troy Harris. Ah, sigh. He was like the Holy Grail of good times wrapped up in one badass package.

Even though Megs wants the Holy Grail she doesn’t want to mess up her friendship with Ash if any awkward break up was to happen so refuses to go there, however sex with no relationship? Just once? That couldn’t harm. Could it? And so our lovely pull and push, magnets drawn to each other courtship that neither acknowledge begins…………

Megs embraces life full on, she has a ‘joie de vivre’ that calls to you and draws you in and the most hilarious inner monologues, I highlighted far too many to include but had to put these three in:

I would go cold turkey and there would be no more slipups. Yeah, because that’s what happened. We accidently found ourselves naked and his penis slipped into my vagina-again.

Not to mention his amazing, long, hard co… Damn it! I was supposed to not be thinking about it and now all I can do is think about it. I wonder if I asked nicely if he’d let me take a mould for a dildo? Everyone is so DIY these days. That wouldn’t be creepy at all. Yep. I was a self-diagnosed deviant nymphomaniac with addiction disorder. Glad all those years at Georgetown paid off, my parents must be so proud.

How long were we gone? Had Marty McFly shown up in his Delorean and we’d somehow time travelled? Maybe Troy’s penis had an in-built flux capacitor and zipped us through the time-space continuum. His talented cock knew no end.

Troy Harris (full name again, hope you noticed!) is delicious. We didn’t really get to know him too well in High Strung because Dan and his ego allow no room for anyone else! He’s strong, thoughtful, downright dirty and sexy. A Rock God book boyfriend delivered from heaven, even though he doesn’t drink coffee. Quelle horreur!

Through drunk calls, flirty text messages pushing for responses, slip-ups always somehow ending up in naked sex and the heartache I didn’t see coming at all, these two will steal your heart and make you smile. Huge. It’s a total winning cocktail and this series is going from strength to strength, the secondary characters making appearances, the banter between all – but especially with our two leading protagonists – the humour and the hotness, it’s all perfection. An easy read that stays in your thoughts, makes you happy, gives you unicorns and rainbows with a dirty, humorous sexy ride, what’s not to love. T Gephart is now a one click addiction for me.

High-Strung-Teaser-1

Ashlyn Murphy was not living the dream. Twenty-seven years old, college educated, up to her eyeballs in debt and yet she’d been relegated to pouring beers at a local bar. She desperately needed an out and was willing to do anything to get back into the corporate world. Well, almost anything. Dan Evans, Rock Star was NOT one of those things. In fact she despised him. Apparently he didn’t get the memo.

Dan Evans, bass player of international rock band Power Station had it all. He was rich, travelled the world, played to millions of adoring fans and had no shortage of beautiful women willing to share his bed. He didn’t need a moody redheaded knockout with a superiority complex complicating his life. Or did he?

When two people who couldn’t be more opposite cross paths, it’s bound to be explosive; sometimes all you can do is sit back and enjoy the show.

So what’s it all about?

And what a show it is.

Ashlyn is just bloody fabulous. Sassy smartass who takes no shit off Dan from their very first meeting. She’s the type of female lead I love reading but don’t always find. A clever girl with a life plan mapped out that includes a career on Wall Street but not a rude crude rock god with a huge ego (amongst other things!). Ash is a redhead with the temperament to match and I adored her.

Dan, well where the fuck do you start with Dan? Actually probably with just that, a fuck, he’s a total unapologetic manwhore who loves life, women and music not necessarily in that order! He lives his life his way, full on and enjoying every second of it. His dirty mouth is a joy to behold, whether he’s being a suggestive git with the innuendos and dirty talk or whether he’s in bed and using it for other things!
From the moment they meet the pull and push between them is fascinating, funny and frustrating (from Dan`s point of view anyway!).

“I hate you.”

I leaned in and whispered, “No, you don’t. You’re just mad ‘cause I make your panties wet.”

“You disgust me!” She pushed against my chest.

“And yet, you still want to sleep with me, don’t you?”

“What? No. Are you insane? I don’t want to sleep with you. Not every woman wants to sleep with you.”

“Maybe that’s true, but you do.”

“You…you…ugh!” She opened her mouth and shut it, wordless.

“It’s okay, sweetheart, don’t fight it. I promise it will be good for you.”

Dan goes after whatever he wants whenever he wants it but Ashlyn is a far more controlled person who has worked too hard to go off plan and lose focus for a fling with a rock star, yet the more she sees and spends time with him the harder it is to keep sight of that plan.

It was the ultimate tease pic: no face, just sculptured, masculine skin. It was raw and unfiltered, just like him.

Life isn’t about the perfect plan. It’s about the perfect storm that engulfs you when you’re busy living it.

When these two people and worlds collide it makes for a story that I devoured because the author spins it that well, it made a tired genre come alive for me again in a way only Olivia Cunning or Samantha Towle usually do. If you are an avid reader then you know the feeling, “I’ll just finish that next chapter, I must go to bed but maybe just a little more, oh fuck it I need to finish and know what happens, who needs sleep”. This is a little gem that I enjoyed, gorged on in one hit. ……..

And having checked on Amazon I discover this is a spin off from her other books, epic fail on my part.

And well done to #RARE14 Edinburgh because that book signing introduced me to the names T Gephart and Lesley Jones and both are bloody amazing.
