Title: Dear Mr. Weaver
Series: Mail Order Bride Ink #1
Author: Kit Morgan

Genre: Historical Romance
Release Date: April 28, 2016
Synopsis:
Daniel Weaver was ready for a wife. His three older brothers had been married for several years and now it was his turn. So, like his brothers Arlan, Benjamin and Calvin, he sends for a mail-order bride, with a little help from their cousin Matthew of course. After all, he helped his brothers write their letters to their prospective brides, so why not him? But when the letter from his bride comes, it’s got more than her acceptance of his proposal written in it. Worse, it gets picked up and read by the town’s worst gossip, Nellie Davis.
Ebba Knudson can’t figure out why folks in her intended’s town of Nowhere would be giving her such odd looks. It was bad enough she had other things to deal with by coming to the Washington territory to marry a farmer, but now this? Was there something wrong with her future husband? Or just with her? Of which she knew there was plenty. Enough to make her think she might not get married at all…
Enjoy this sweet, historical, western romance and the first book in this laugh out loud new series!

Excerpt #3:
“Ah, sweetie, ya poor thing. Ya must be plumb miserable. Do ya know what’s wrong?”
“Of course I know what’s wrong!” she yelped, then sneezed again. “It’s just that I don’t know what to do about it!” More sneezing.
Daniel swallowed hard, trying to figure out what to do, then reached into his pocket, pulled out a handkerchief and handed it to her. “Here, take this.”
She grabbed at empty air, unable to see it, until he put it in her hand. She immediately blew her nose with it, then promptly sneezed some more.
“Great jumpin’ horny toads!” Daniel exclaimed. “I ain’t never seen nothin’ like this!”
“You’re not helping,” she groaned, and blew her nose again.
Daniel, unsure of what else to do, began to chuckle. “I’m sorry, sweetie, it’s just that I ain’t never seen someone sneeze so much.”
“Well, I have, just about every day of my life!”
Daniel laughed. “I still don’t believe it.”
“You have eyes, don’t you?” She pointed at herself, sniffled, and sneezed again.
“Ain’t there no way to make it stop?” he asked helplessly.
“If there was, do you think I’d be standing here like this?!” she asked tersely.
“No need to bite my head off. I was just askin’.”
“Your mother … achoo! achoo! … gave me something yesterday … sniff … it seemed to help.”
Daniel nodded, pulled her against him, then picked her up.
“What are you doing?” she screeched.
“Gettin’ ya back to the house as fast as I can ‘fore ya plumb sneeze yerself to death!”
“I’m not going to sneeze myself to death!” The only reason she knew that was that if it were possible, she’d have been dead a long time ago. “Put me down!”
“Nope,” he said firmly. “Yer eyes are so full of tears ya can’t see straight anyways. Yer liable to walk right into a tree and knock yerself out.”
She couldn’t even answer – the sneezes were coming thick and fast now.
“Land sakes, darlin’, don’t die on me! We ain’t even married yet!”
“No one is … achoo! … dying!” she whined. Though the thought did have merit – at least she wouldn’t be sneezing anymore.

Excerpt:
As she lay in the dirt with her head outside of the shed, her feet inside, and the small of her back wedged under the bottom of the door, she considered that perhaps this was more than she could do. She was tired, she was filthy, she was hungry and she had to pee… again. Why hadn’t she done that before she contorted her body under the damn door?
With her face in the dirt, she was almost to the point of giving up when she heard something from the jungle across the clearing. A rustling but not accompanied by the distinctive chatter of the small monkeys who had kept her awake during the past two nights. In fact, there was no other sound. It was as if the jungle creatures had turned to stone in fear. And the thought of what could instill fear in them had her slowly easing her head up from the dirt.
At first, she saw nothing in the dim moments before the sun’s rays would angle directly into the clearing, but she still heard rustling in the bushes at a point directly across from her shed. Something was there, something big.
Then from the corner of her eye, she saw movement. At first just a dark shape peeking out of the leaves. Perhaps one of those monkeys.
Nope. In the next instant, the boxy black shape became something long… and slithery.
At first, it came into the now illuminated clearing slowly, sinuously. She knew the head looked big from her vantage point in the dirt, but as she pushed her body up with her arms, she realized that big wasn’t a… big enough word for the creature. It slithered out into the early morning sun, and slithered and then slithered some more until in the center of the clearing the thing began coiling and stacking its body until it looked like a turban.
Sandra knew she should do something. But nothing much came to mind except to stare. She was still caught with her butt wedged under the shed door. If that thing started toward her, she wouldn’t have a chance of pushing herself back under the door to the safety of her cell. And she’d dug a damn hole as a welcoming entrance for the beast. Come on inside and have a meal… of tasty plump American woman. Nick where are you? I need you to come and kill this thing right now.

Min Edwards is the pen name of Archaeologist, Book Designer, and owner of A Thirsty Mind Book Design, Pam Headrick.
She has lived in many countries in her life—England, the Philippines, Cuba, Texas (yes, Texas thinks of itself as a separate country)—gathering experiences for her writing along the way. She earned Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees from Texas Tech University and The University of Texas at Austin in Anthropology with minors in Art, Geology and Geography, and she spent her early professional career as an Archaeological Illustrator of some renown. Radically changing track in 2004 and opening an Independent Bookstore in an affluent community outside Austin, A Thirsty Mind Words & Wines, (one of the first bookstore/winebars in the country) started her on her road to careers in bookselling, book formatting for eBooks as well as print, and ultimately writing.
Min works now from a small office in her 180 year old Greek Revival farmhouse at Pheasant Cove Farm just 300 yards from Cobscook Bay, an arm of the Bay of Fundy. In the summer she walks on her beach every day, listening to the song of the pebbles being washed back and forth in the tide. It’s a musical and inspiring sound. In the winter though, she’d rather the beach be sand and maybe transported to someplace warmer… Tahiti seems to be most often on her mind.

Excerpt #1:
He really hated bullies. Especially, assholes that bullied women.
Leaning on the bar, Austin Rose looked back over his shoulder, his grip tightening on the beer glass in his hand. The bully leaned down into the blonde beauty’s face, his hand slamming against the table with a resounding whack. She seemed unfazed by his aggression — her shoulders relaxed, her head at a patronizing tilt.
Her shaking leg gave her away.
She’d followed Austin into the San Diego airport lounge after he’d checked on Hope’s flight, learning he had an hour before his future sister-in-law arrived. The open bar was deserted except for the three of them and the bartender, who looked just as unfazed as the blonde wanted to appear. The early afternoon hour proved slow for the establishment, though with his plans, Austin found the early hour suited his spastic nerves well.
“I asked you a question.” The man spat his words, his arms braced on the square tabletop.
Straightening, Austin turned around on his barstool and tipped up the brim of his straw cowboy hat. Airline passengers walked to and from their gates beyond, the overhead announcements muffled from the buzz of hurried conversation. His brother, Jaydan, would’ve already been at her side. The D.I.R.E. super agent was a man’s man, someone that stood up for the underdog and faced any resistance with courage.
Austin wished he could say the same.
The woman stood to her full, leather-covered height, her heels and black pants making her legs appear a kilometer long. The man blocked her path, causing her to bend back over the table, her green-tipped curls falling to her waist.
“Get out of my face.” She pushed against the man’s chest, her black fingernails digging into his shirt.

“The name isn’t Cassidy,” I muttered for the one thousandth time. “Call me Kathleen or don’t bother to call me.”
Joe Scipio planted his six-foot three frame on the stool opposite me. I stood safely behind the bar – separated from him by a width of approximately three feet and seven inches.
