Oh lord, I was not expecting Tripp Hollisโฆ. To be honest, I donโt think Magnolia Sutherland was expecting him either!!!
This pair have danced around each other for years, neither being brave enough to take a chance until finally Tripp is pushed into action.
Magnolia/Sunny doesnโt have a great relationship track record and her ex, Travis, has always been a reason why Tripp never let his feeling for her be known. Regardless of what Travis did – and he did some really shady stuff – Magnolia always seemed to end up back with him. Sheโs been Travis free for a couple of years until one night, a shot of the green eued monster, a misunderstanding and too much booze sent her back for one last nightโฆโฆ
Itโs around this time that Tripp thinks Magnolia has her eye on someone else and finally decides to make a move. This guysโฆ. Honestly, heโs one of the best book boyfriends Iโve read in a good while. Heโs patient, doesnโt push for more than Sunny is able to give him and even when things donโt go as planned heโs not going anywhere. His determination to have the relationship and future with Magnolia that he has wanted for years is overwhelming. Sunny canโt quite believe he means what he says (especially as sheโs never had someone look out for and be there for her specifically in a relationship) but the gods, this man shows her exactly what he wants.
Together these two were smokinโ hot. For a sweet guy Tripp had a dirty filthy mouth (and I was there for it!!). Sunny for her part wasnโt afraid to tell him what she wanted and had a dirty wee mouth of her own.
I liked the suspense – even though we had a good idea of who was up to no good – the banter was great, catching up with the rest of the Hollis family (I LOCE Grandma Grace) finding out about Magsโ family background and following Noah & Fisher in their next step all made for a fantastic read.
Iโm so looking forward to Fall With Me. Iโm pretty sure Ellie is gonna give Landen a run for his money
You could read this book as a standalone but Iโd seriously recommend starting with the novella Come With Me and going from there!
