“Hello, Jonas! How lovely to see you. I didn’t know you were back in town.” She offered her hand in greeting.“Good afternoon, my lovely Rebecca.” He took her hand but lowered his head and kissed her cheek. “I couldn’t resist stopping by to see how you and your Nick are recovering from your adventure.”

Rebecca shot him a sly grin. “I’m flattered we entertained a thought from you, Jonas, but I have a feeling you know exactly what’s going on with everyone who crosses your path.”

He laughed. “Ah, there’s that sassy wit Noah has told me about. I’m glad you are back to your old self, not that you weren’t beauty and grace personified in my presence.” He winked.

Rebecca blushed at the reminder she had met him nearly naked. “Please have a seat, Jonas. Can I offer you something?”

When he simply stared at her, she felt the blush intensify. “That, my dear, is a loaded question, but I’ll leave it alone. You’re about to go up in flames as it is. I wonder why that might be?” He gifted her with a slow sexy grin, then chuckled as he placed a hand upon her back, leading her to the seated reception area.

He could probably feel her pulse race, Rebecca surmised. She was no match for his sexual play. “How can I help you, Jonas?”

“I believe I can help you, love. Noah says there’s a bit of tension between you and Nick. I’d like to be of assistance if I can.”

Rebecca eyed him with embarrassed curiosity. “I didn’t know you were into matchmaking.”

His eyes narrowed. “Curb the brat, love or I’ll give you the discipline you so obviously desire.”

She bristled at his tone, but he simply chuckled. “See? You’re practically begging me to spank you. It’s all over your body language. Nick needs to take a firmer hand with you.”

“I’m not sure what gave you the impression that I enjoy a good spanking or that my attitude is any of your business.” My God, what was wrong with her? She was acting like the brat he accused her of being.

“Knees, Rebecca. Now.”

Her independence warred with her submissive self. She was torn. This man’s tone brooked no interference.

“Now!”

She fell out of the chair and onto her knees, eyes lowered immediately. Dammit, how did he do that?

“Becca! Get the hell up!”

She heard the furious shout and hastily threw herself back into the chair. Nick’s order took precedence in her mind.

She glanced up in time to see Nick’s fist fly toward Jonas’ face. It was caught in the older man’s hand, so Nick threw the other fist. He was abruptly knocked to his butt when Jonas swept both legs out from under him with a precise kick. “Calm down. I was making a point.”

Both Nick and Rebecca looked at him in shock.

Jonas shook his head. “Both of you have to learn to trust; to communicate; to admit your mutual attraction and go from there. Or this D/s relationship is doomed to fail.”

“We don’t have a relationship.” Rebecca whispered. “I wasn’t what he needed.”

“That’s not true!” Nick stammered. “I wasn’t what you needed, Rebecca. I know that.”

Jonas looked at Nick. “Explain.”

Rebecca watched as Nick’s face closed down. “None of your damn business, Blackshire. I want to know what the hell you were doing forcing Rebecca to her knees?”

“I want her. She’s just stated that you don’t, so she’s open to play.”

“I am not!” Rebecca stammered. “I didn’t…I don’t know why I…” she could feel the tears welling up in her eyes.

“So you do belong to Nick?”

She felt the tears fall. She lowered her eyes, unable to look at either man as she told the sad truth. “No.”

“Yes.” Nick hissed, coming to his feet, facing Jonas. “She is mine and I’ll fucking kill you if try this shit again, Jonas. I don’t give a damn if you saved my life or not.”

BLP REVIEW ~ Tracy

Cold As Ice was another really good instalment in the Tempered Steel series by Maggie Adams.
We’ve followed the misfortunes, ups and downs and happiness of the Coalson family from the first book in the series and CaI (book 6) brings about more twists and turns, danger to the family, new additions and follows a relationship that we first glimpsed in the fifth book, Forged in Fire.

While I loved the action and suspense in the continuation of the story arc that we’ve been following and for the most part I really liked Rebecca, I found it really quite difficult to like or engage with Nick’s character. Together they set the sheets on fire and though he made some of the right moves and seemed to be into Rebecca, at points I just didn’t feel that he was the right guy for her. While reading the story he did grow on me but I just didn’t have that same interest as I had for his brothers have in their own stories.

Action packed, suspenseful, fast paced and hot, this was a great read and I’m looking forward to the next book/instalment to see where things go from here.

Cold as Ice works as a standalone but, to fully appreciate all that happens in the story, I’d recommend you read the series in it’s entirety. 4*

I’m gonna begin by admitting that after reading and enjoying Maggie Adams’ TEMPERED STEEL series I honestly wasn’t sure quite what to expect when I started reading Lustful Letters but it certainly wasn’t the ‘journey’ I found myself on.

I liked the different vibe and topic of the chapters and reading about ‘her’ encounters and various relationships with different submissive/lovers/Masters as she explored her sexuality and sensuality and sought to find where she herself fit in after a life living in shades of vanilla. It was hot, sexy, interesting and at times had me holding my breath….. and at least once I was not far off blushing like a virgin seeing her first **** (I’ll leave you to fill in the rest of that thought!)

I really enjoyed the read and am looking forward to continuing this highly erotic journey with Maggie and her unnamed leading lady!!!!

I’m giving this book 4 lustful stars!!

Get ready for a phenomenal series in contemporary fiction! Every book in the ‘Tempered Steel’ series by Maggie Adams is a smoking hot, page-turning must-read! Fans of fiction (Adults 18+) who love contemporary romance, a bit of intrigue, and just the right amount of spicy heat in the bedroom, will devour all of these books!

With a unique storyline and different plots that steadily emerge throughout each installment, readers will be engaged and turning pages. Entertaining dialogue with well-developed characters that you will either love or hate, and always witty banter between each book’s H/h, will cause many bursts of laughing out loud! Oh, and I always advise having the A/C on high, a cooler of ice cold drinks and a fire extinguisher handy from the sizzling antics in the bedrooms!

Yes, these books could stand-alone, but since there are recurring characters, I strongly recommend reading them in order for maximum enjoyment! No cliffhangers, just amazing endings that will pique your curiosity. I highly recommend getting all of the books in this fantastic series!

His face came closer and she closed her eyes, but popped them open when he simply touched her nose with his, rubbing it lightly. “Open those beautiful eyes, Anna. I want to see your passion.” Anna stopped breathing as Brandon tilted her head slightly, and
touched just the tip of his tongue to her lips, licking just the corner, then drawing back. She caught fire at the first touch of his lips on her skin.
Naturally shy, she had nevertheless had her share of kisses, but this was entirely different from anything she had experienced before. Tender pecks on the eyelids, the chin, a teasing bite along the throat and collarbone, Anna’s breath hitched. Then he gave a little lick to the ‘oh so sensitive’ spot at the curve of her neck. She gasped, as he captured the sound with his mouth, then went in for the kill…open mouth, tongue licking her lips, demanding entrance as he succeeded in devouring her mouth just as he had been dreaming of doing for so long. One sweet, succulent, tongue entwined, dream of a kiss. When they were both breathless, he tenderly pulled at her lower lip with his lips and planted one last gentle kiss on the curve of her neck. Although it was a gentle
kiss, the underlying hunger could not be denied, and Anna didn’t want to deny him anymore. She craved his touch like flowers crave the rain. But now was neither the time nor the place to indulge in these fantasies. She drew back reluctantly. “You make me forget myself,” she blushed and lowered her eyes.
“You make me hot,” Brandon whispered seductively.

Lawrence “Lucky” Coalson is on the track of the arsonist that torched his older brother’s construction company.
The clues have led him to the Mississippi Flame Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Taking a job as a bouncer there, he hopes to find a connection or even the arsonist. What he finds is a blonde bombshell in a bit of trouble, so like the alpha male he is, Lucky comes to the rescue.

But what happens in Vegas is about to follow him home – and no one is prepared for the consequences.

“You do have a certain charm, cowboy,” Claudia murmured as she leaned back in his arms.

He kissed her, quick and hard, on the lips. “I’m just clearing the way for a fun filled evening, baby.”

He started around the bar, but she grabbed the back of his shirt. “What makes you think I don’t have plans?”

Lucky turned in a flash, grabbed her around the waist and slid his hand under her skirt to rub her through her panties. “I know you’ve got plans, sugar. I can feel what you’ve got in mind. It’s warm and moist.” He slipped his finger around the silken barrier to slide against her wetness. She moaned when his finger left her. He brought it to his lips. “And it tastes so sweet.”

Claudia came to her senses as Lucky stepped back. She swung an arm to slap him, but he grabbed it and pulled her close once again. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” she hissed. Even though she was pissed, her body throbbed against him.

“I’m just keeping it real baby. If we give them a show every now and then, the word will spread, and pretty soon, we’ve got a casino full of gambling voyeurs,” he murmured against her skin as he nibbled on her neck.
“Now, I’ve got to go put out more fires.” He kissed her again, amid cheers and bar pounding, and then hopped over the bar with a grin and a bow. “Oh, and lose the panties, darlin’.”

Claudia shook her head and grinned. He definitely wasn’t boring her.
