PRE-RELEASE BLITZ ~ Saving Erica by J. A. Melville

DARK EROTICA AND I DO BELIEVE IN HAPPILY EVER AFTER.
Erica let herself into her parents’ home, the home she’d lived in from birth and listened for a moment to the laughter and voices coming from the dining room. It was Christmas Eve and she was late for the family dinner. Not that her family knew that since she hadn’t been able to guarantee she’d make it home for Christmas anyway.
It was just lucky that filming had finished early and she’d been able to get a seat on the first flight out of London. Someone had cancelled making a seat available and although she’d been stuck with an economy seat and jammed in between a quite large woman and a man who had spent most of the flight trying to chat her up, it had been worth it to get home that little bit quicker. She knew she could have called Daddy and he would have sent the company jet but she wanted to surprise her family when they really weren’t expecting her.
She stopped for a moment to check her appearance in the mirror over the hall stand and noticed the dark circles under her blue eyes, a blue that vivid they appeared almost purple under some lighting. Her auburn hair hung down one shoulder in a plait that finished just below her full breasts and she ran her hands down over her dress trying to smooth out the creases after being crammed in a plane for so many hours.
Slowly she moved towards the dining room, smiling as the voices grew louder the closer she got. Nathan was telling them something about his and his girlfriend Taylah’s last holiday together. Apparently she had managed to lock herself out of their room while only wearing a towel and Erica grinned to herself when everyone burst out laughing.
She made it to the dining room doorway and got her first look at her family in three months. Alice was there as were Beverly, Tom and Maggie but her eyes shifted past them to the tall figure of her Father standing by the window.
Even in his early 50’s he was still a very attractive man and to her he was her hero. She loved her Father, she always had. He had been her protector, her savior and the person who could never say no to her.
Nathan was seated at the table, the light shining on his strawberry blonde hair with Taylah by his side; her dark almost exotic looks a complete contrast to him.
Brooklyn and Charlotte occupied another couple of chairs at the table and Erica noticed Brooklyn had somehow talked her parents in to letting her get a nose piercing if the diamond glinting in it was any indication. At 15 they were looking so much more mature than she remembered but the phones in their hands as they texted or were on Facebook proved that they still had some maturing to do yet.
Her Mother was seated up the other end of the table, looking her usual unruffled self, her auburn hair the exact same color as Erica’s twisted into some elaborate knot at her nape.
Erica smiled at the sight of them all together, all the people she loved most in her life. Suddenly her Mother looked up and saw her standing there and a wide smile transformed her face at the sight of her eldest daughter.
“Erica, darling, you made it.” She stood up with her usual grace. Her Mother’s mention of her name was enough to draw the attention of everyone else and the chatter stopped briefly before everyone started getting to their feet to
come and greet her.
Before anyone reached her, she saw her father coming towards her with that long stride of his and he caught her up, swinging her around and around in his arms despite her protests and squeals at him.
He lowered her feet to the floor and pulled her into his arms for a hug, holding her tight and Erica realized at that moment how much her father had missed her. They’d been inseparable until her career had started to take off and now she was often gone for weeks or even several months at a time. Lately it was months and months in between visits back home.
“Daddy.” She said and that was all she could say as the tears started to fall and when she finally pulled back enough to see her father’s face, he had tears rolling down his cheeks too.
“I missed you so much Daddy.”
“Not as much as I’ve missed you sweet pea.” He told her huskily before hugging her tightly to him again.
Erica knew her father hated her job. She’d heard often enough about how he used to only date models years ago before Mum’s time. He’d found them shallow and self-centered so he had found it hard to accept that his own daughter had gone on to become a highly successful model.
He’d never once tried to stop her and had always been supportive and going by the collection of her professional photos hanging around the house, he was proud of her despite her career choice. Technically she hadn’t intended to get into modelling but it had been the fairy tale beginning for her. After being spotted at sixteen and talked into having some studio shots taken the rest as they say was history.
She had become an extremely wealthy woman from modelling but all that money didn’t mean much when her personal life was one huge mess. She had come home not just to see her family but to lick her wounds and recover from the physical and emotional damage done to her by her ex-boyfriend. She didn’t dare tell her father about what Liam had done to her. She just wanted to spend time with her family and try to push the whole horrible nightmare to the back of her mind.
With a huge grin on her face she pulled out of her father’s arms and turned to greet the rest of her family, her arms spread wide. “Well come on then, is Daddy the only one pleased to see me? Where’s my hugs?”
Her Mother stepped forward, a wide smile on her face, her arms outstretched and Erica walked into her embrace, dropping her head on her shoulder as she breathed in her Mother’s familiar vanilla scent. Before she could get too
comfortable though, she was pulled into Nathan’s arms and given a hug that tight, she winced. She fought to keep the pain from her expression because her pain was from more than his big bear hug embrace, it was pain from bones that were still healing. She didn’t want anyone to see that though so she struggled to mask her reaction from her family. She didn’t want anyone to know what had happened. She just needed time to get over this with the people she loved most around her. She needed time to forget what Liam had done to her. God, just thinking about him sent a shiver through her and Erica pulled away from her brother and with a false smile on her face she said. “I’m starving. Can your poor old daughter and sister get something to eat before I collapse?”
With bursts of laughter and Nathan teasing her about her not being entitled to anything more than a lettuce leaf given she was some big shot model, her family cleared a spot for her at the table.
Brooklyn and Charlotte dropped kisses on her cheeks when she sat down. Erica took the plate of food from her mother’s hands that seemed to have miraculously filled itself and began to eat. The constant noise and laughter from her family was both comforting and familiar to her. She realized just how much she’d missed it, how much she’d missed them. Being back with them like this would help for a short time at least. She could forget about the past, forget about the pain and try and push the hell Liam had put her through from her mind.

FINDING LOST~ EXCERPT
“I don’t understand. How can this monster make my life a living hell day after day and not get caught? How can he continue to terrorize me like this and not leave any trace of who he is?”
Detective Roberts gnawed on a sunflower seed and spit the remnants into a paper cup. Had he gotten a little grayer around the temples since the last time she’d been to the station? “He knows what he’s doing, how to play the game. I’m thinking he could be one of us, or someone who’s been in law enforcement. It’s uncanny the way he can do so much and not slip up. It’s pissing me off.”
“You’re pissed?” she scoffed. “What about me? According to you, my life is about to be over as I know it.” She grabbed a tattered tissue from her purse and blew her nose. As she took a quick look in the makeup mirror, her complexion told a sorry story of incessant stress and sleep deprivation. What a mess. She plunged the mirror back into her bag and noticed paper clips strewn across his desk. One by one she gathered them into rows and columns. Then she gathered each row and deposited them back into the paper clip holder.
“Listen, I’m not giving up on you or on trying to find the sick bastard. I just think it would be best for you to disappear into a whole new life. As long as your stalker remains a mystery, it’s not safe for you to be… you. I could suggest what I’m sure all the others have— change your routines, move to another part of the city, or hire security…”
“I’ve done all that already, and he’s still around.”
“The last, most severe response is to skip town and start fresh somewhere else. Keep a low profile in some invisible job where nobody knows who you really are.”
“Do you realize what you’re asking me to do? I own a thriving book store. I have family and friends. I can’t just give it all up. Then he wins.”
“Isn’t he winning now?”
She raised a brow and turned away, preferring to straighten the various piles of paper on his desk and align each container to another rather than face the truth.
By writing paranormal romance and suspense, Deena spends her days and nights playing in the Garden of Good and Evil. She’s been known to have downed a few beers with her angels, and even put Satan in his place a time or two. She’s come to learn, however, that the human villains she creates can be more evil and depraved than the supernatural characters she conjures up. Gilbert, Arizona is home now for her family, but she hails from Philadelphia, PA and lived for many years in Manalapan, NJ. When she’s not writing, she’s teaching kids how to do the same.

The Devil gets his dues
What happens when Satan in the flesh meets Lillith in real life?
Some name calling, a lot of fighting, and even more loving.
For two years, Jameson Kane and Tatum O’Shea have made their relationship work. It might not work for anyone else on the planet, but it’s perfect for them. Their own personal fairy tale.
But can Jameson give Tatum a true “happily ever after”? He’s not sure.
Where would the devil go to buy a throne, anyway?
WARNING: contains little plot, a lot of sex, and was written for the author’s own personal enjoyment.
Also graphic sexual situations and sadomasochistic themes.
The Brazilian made sexy eyes at Ang for a while, but it was obvious that Jameson was her ultimate goal. As they all took their sides of the tennis court, Tate glared as the other woman flirted and touched Jameson. Leaned against him. Breathed on him.
“What are we doing here?” Ang asked in a low voice.
“That chicks wants to fuck Jameson. He’s trying to pawn her off on you. Be sexy,” Tate advised him.
“Bitch, I was born sexy.”
Tate had to agree. Ang was wearing a pair of old fashioned looking Ray Bans, and his hair was cropped extremely short on the sides, but long and wild on top. There was a touch of James Dean about him; something 1950’s. His bad boy smile was firmly in place, and though Isadora was focusing on Jameson, she threw a couple flirty glances Ang’s way.
“Well, sexy it up some more, get her attention. I don’t want to spend the rest of the day trying to talk Jameson out of an orgy,” Tate hissed.
“We could end up in an orgy!?”
“Angier, don’t make me serve the ball into the back of your head.”
Tate was rusty – tennis had never really been her sport. She could knock the ball back and forth, but she wasn’t great. Ang couldn’t play for shit, it was comical watching him lope up and down the court. They both laughed a lot, collapsing into giggle fits enough times to earn a snap from Jameson.
Isadora played the game beautifully and elegantly, like Tate knew she would, and of course Jameson was good at it. If there was something Jameson wasn’t good at it, he simply didn’t do it, so Tate had figured he’d do well at tennis. Together with the Brazilian bombshell, they dominated the game. Tate couldn’t quite figure out why they didn’t switch, place a bad player with a good player, to at least even the odds.
But it quickly became apparent that Isadora didn’t want to even the odds. She cooed in Jameson’s ear, wiggled her ass in his face. Tate spent half the game making puking faces at him, which just earned her wolf grins and him feeding into the flirtation.
“I don’t think she’s interested in my sexy,” Ang informed Tate, looking over his glasses as Isadora bent straight at the waist, keeping her knees locked while she tied her shoelaces. Jameson stood directly behind her, waving his racket at them.
Tate gave him the finger.
“Yeah, we’re not here to play tennis. She invited us here so she could become fuck buddies,” Tate grumbled.
“Wouldn’t be all bad. She’s kinda hot,” Ang pointed out. Tate snorted.
“I didn’t come all the way to Hong Kong to have an orgy with Jameson’s ex girlfiend.”
“Does this kind of thing happen a lot?”
“Yes. We went to the Met gala last fall, and god, what a nightmare. There was this model, some young blonde thing that Jameson had slept with like a million years ago. Followed him around all night. I don’t want to go through that again,” Tate told him.
“What are you going to do about it?” Ang asked.
“Whore you out.”
Before he could argue, Tate jogged up to the net, scooping up the ball as she went.
“Oh, thank you, Tatum,” Isadora gushed in her syrupy accent, running up to the net as well.
“No problem. Say, Ang has never been to Hong Kong before, you should totally show him around after this,” Tate blurted out, not even trying to be subtle.
“Really? I was hoping to catch up with Kane a little more. So little chance to talk during the game. I would be very glad to keep him company while you show Angier the sites,” Isadora offered.
Hmmm, I’m not the only one lacks subtlety.
“See, I kind of had plans with Jameson,” Tate lied. There weren’t any set plans, but she figured she didn’t need them. He was her boyfriend. If she said he was busy, then he was goddamn busy.
“Yes, of course! The party!” Isadora exclaimed. Tate blinked in surprise.
“What?”
“The party! Kane told me all about it, thank you so much for inviting me!”
“Are we gonna play, or fucking chit chat all day?” Jameson yelled from the back line. Tate stepped to the side.
“Your lovely partner was just telling me all about our party!” Tate shouted back, shielding her eyes with her hand. His own eyes were hidden by the bill of his hat, but the set of his jaw was ominous. He wasn’t happy.
“My partner should learn to keep her mouth shut. Let’s finish this game,” he called back.
“Oh, I’ll finish this game, alright,” Tate grumbled, stomping away.
“Something up?” Ang asked, walking up close to her. Tate leaned into him, pressing her face against his chest and letting out a mock scream.
“What the fuck is going on?” Tate breathed, turning her head to the side and resting all her weight against him. “First dinner with my parents. Then fucked up tennis. Now a party? Jameson hates parties, he hates physical activity that isn’t sex, and he hates my parents.”
“Maybe he’s trying to turn over a new leaf,” Ang suggested, but she could feel him trying not to laugh.
“When you’re done dry humping, some of us would like to keep playing!”
Tate glared as Jameson’s voice carried across the court. Oh, so he could let some hoochie Brazilian rub her ass all over his crotch, but Tate couldn’t hug Ang!? Oh, it was on. It was soooooo on.
“Ang, could you do me a favor?” Tate started, running her hands up and down his sides.
“Hmmm?”
“Just go with anything I do.”
“Huh?”
Tate ignored him and peeled her top off. She wasn’t being scandalous, she was wearing a sports bra – there were plenty of women running around the courts wearing the same thing. No, that wasn’t enough to get the reaction she wanted. But turning around and pressing her back to Ang’s front and doing a toe touch stretch, she was pretty positive that would inspire a response.
“Does he look mad?” Tate asked, not even trying to hide her smile as she pretended to stretch from one leg to the other.
“Murderous. Are we trying to piss him off?” Ang questioned.
“Just having some fun, messing with him. He made me sweat with all his flirting, now it’s his turn,” Tate laughed.
“Then let’s make it count.”
Ang smacked her on the ass, hard enough to cause her to fall forward and place her hands flat on the ground.
“I’m not fucking around, Tate. You have two seconds to knock it the fuck off!” Jameson yelled.
“Ooohhh, feels like a challenge to me! Game!?” she yelled back, slowly standing up and stretching her arms above her head.
“Don’t push me – you won’t win.”
“Pffft, I always win.”
Tate spun around, facing Ang as she stretched her arms back, forcing her chest out. Ang didn’t even hide the fact that he was staring at her tits.
“I’m not really sure what kind of game you’re playing, but I gotta be honest, I like it,” he joked. Tate snorted and lowered her arms, coiling them around his neck. He rested his hands on her hips.
“Does he look mad?” she asked. Ang glanced behind her.
“Hard to tell. He always looks mad,” he pointed out, walking backwards and forcing her to follow.
“If he’s standing still, he’s not mad,” Tate explained.
“Oh, then he’s definitely mad.”
“Is he moving?”

Stylo Fantome. Yeah I want you to remember that name. Let’s say it again, Stylo Fantome.
She is without doubt one of THE discoveries of 2014. Her debut book Degradation was outstanding and she just kept going from strength to strength with Separation and Reparation, turning us inside out with the most dysfunctional train wreck of a relationship that’s so wrong it’s painfully right. This extra little novella called Completion is absofuckinglutelyfabulous. It doesn’t even feel like a novella it’s so packed full with development and emotion and it does exactly what the title says, completes the story and completes Jameson & Tate. You won’t want to give them up, won’t want this to be the end, even as fabulous as it is, because these characters will steal your soul. Satan will own you and who the fuck cares??? “Take me now Jameson” will be shouted from Heaven to Hell and everywhere in-between! Or is that just me? Whatever……….
Degradation –
I haven’t in a long, long time read a book that I so loved and hated simultaneously, as fascinated as I was horrified. A train wreck of a relationship, as beautiful as it is broken, brutally raw, poignant, passionate, tragic and destructive. If the Devil had a fucked up contemporary fairy tale it would be this and the ride has only just begun…
Separation –
Who knew the Devil had a soul? With Separation the fairy tale is fucked six ways till Sunday, sideways with a cherry on top. Forget every single feeling and emotion you had in the first because Stylo Fantome twists it, lubes it, fucks it and spits you out the other side knowing you had a fucking amazing bookgasm and were rendered completely speechless and incoherent in the process, satiated and dazed……..
The absolute sheer beauty of it is that while on the emotional journey of this one the author can change every single thing we thought we knew or felt from the previous one. That’s a special kind of talent. I am now totally convinced she will stop my heart with Reparation….
Reparation –
Stop my Heart? Try shredded it, kicked it to the kerb and stomped all over it. Fuck Me!!!!!
The conclusion to this rollercoaster ride had me screaming in my head, “No, she wouldn’t, she wouldn’t fucking take it there, No, oh Hell Fucking No?” so many times I was almost catatonic. Lights were on but nobody was home, speechless and incoherent again but for totally different reasons. For an author in her debut year to have the ability to give you the feels, the good, the bad and the ugly with three books that, while connected, have completely different paces and emotions is quite the feat.
Completion –
Completion made me feel like I was wrapped in a warm blanket, stuffed full of comfort food and surrounded by family and friends – yes I know, real mushy shit but it did! The humour and affection shone through every word and every interaction, Jameson, Tate, Sanders and Ang, all of them creating a warmth, creating their own family, the best kind – choice not blood – and while dysfunction surrounds them they make it their own, take the train wreck and work with the pieces. Stylo yet again writes a book connected to the others, just as addictive to read but fresh, different in style & pace and oh so satisfying and beautiful. This book is full of it (much like Tate!), bullshit and banter, sarcasm and wit, sex, friends and so much more. Sanders is just divine as always, Ang the Porn God is, well, Ang and then there’s Tate and Satan…………….
Two years down the line there is now a stability within Jameson and Tate’s relationship that changes the dynamic slightly in a good way. Of course Tate owns his soul and yes Satan has one (who knew!) the banter between them was just delicious, “ Shut the fuck up “ all the way through made me smile manically no matter where I was, it’s so them! In Reparation I loved how Stylo showed that, while it may not work for others, what they share works for them and in Completion this is underlined and put in bold! I wish I had the words for this pair, how much their journey is just the most amazing, well written, draw you in, spin you around, torture you and then spit you the fuck out, but I don’t – I’m not a writer, I can only say BUY it, one click that bitch. Hide yourself with a stiff drink and come meet Jameson and Tate, let Ms Fantome take you away for a few hours of sheer unadulterated bliss, the odd orgasm or two and make you remember why you read, why imagination is such a powerful and fabulous tool.
Bravo Stylo Fantome, automatic one click for me

Gods, I FLOVE this story…. I adored Satan (who’d have thought it eh?!) by the time I’d finished Reparation but he’d stolen my soul by the end of Completion!!!
The three books in the trilogy were fabulous but this little gem was fanfuckintastic!!!! It really was a Completion of the story of Jameson & Tate.
Two years down the line we get to see how things are going with this pair. Happy and content together but still as kinky, hot, sexy and dirty mouthed as ever – who knew “shut the fuck up” was gonna be such a damned turn-on – it was a fun ride finding out what was in store for them.
Though they have both settled into their life together their banter and arguments are still full on and entertaining. This pairs relationship will never ever be stereotypically ‘normal’.
As for the rest of this little ‘family’ ~ Sanders is striking out on his own and forging a life for himself. Ang is finally the Porn King that he dreamed of being and we catch up with Nick who now has what he wanted but couldn’t have with Tate.
A couple of loose ends were tied up – one of them in particular had me cheering I must admit. There were some laugh out loud moments and Ang and Tate got up to some of their usual ‘lets piss off Satan’ antics.
The only thing that saddened me about Completion was that it was the end of a bloody awesome journey. Stylo has had me caught, bound and enthralled since Degradation and I never wanted the ride to end!!!!
An absolute joy to read, I grinned my way through it and my heart was bursting by the end! Yeah, I’m well aware that that’s a kinda cheesy thing to say – sue me, it’s true!!!!
If you haven’t read any of The Kane Trilogy yet, where have you been and WTH have you been doing?? Go grab your copies NOW and get stuck in….. This series is without doubt high on my list of recommended reads and one of my all time favourites!!!
I can’t wait to see what characters and story Stylo sucks me in with next…. but the one things I know for sure, it’s gonna be interesting!!!!

Crazy woman living in an undisclosed location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since …, forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball – I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I’m clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.
I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there’s your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair – both a curse and a blessing – and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can’t understand me.
Yeah. I think that about sums me up.
