Review: The Mighty Storm by Samantha Towle

I absolutely loved The Mighty Storm. This was the first Samantha Towle book that I’d read but it won’t be the last – I can’t wait until ‘Wethering the Storm’ is released in August!!
Have now read TMS twice and enjoyed it even more the second time round!!
I really took to both Tru and Jake – though at times they both frustrated the life out of me – and towards the end of the book I could have strangled Tru – so bloody minded at times…..
I thought they were fab together!
I liked the fact that Tru was a pretty strong character when it came to dealing with events that happened – even though she felt such a pull to Jake..
Jake is hot – with a capital H!!! A true alpha hero!!!
The side story of Denny & Simone was good and I loved getting to know a bit about Tom, Stuart and the rest of TMS crew!!
Think the only thing I would have liked was a bit more of the story from Jake’s POV – the chapter we did get was great!!
This is a book that I devoured from the start, I just couldn’t put it down. For me it’s a 5* read!!!
Review – Dominic: Disciples of the Damned (Episode 1: A Vampire Biker series) by April M. Reign

I really loved this book – Dominic: Disciples of the Damned (Episode 1: A Vampire Biker) is from the new monthly series by April M. Reign. April has got a fabulous way with her writing that makes you feel like you are there with the characters!!
Dominic comes back to ‘existence’ after 200 years to a very different world. He has a helluva lot to learn, not least of all that Vampires are now kept in line by Bounty Slayers!! He sets about getting to grips with these changes very quickly with the help of Palo, an old friend (or was he?!)
Dom has revenge on his mind and the desire to destroy those who lead to his downfall and confinement. With help from Palo, some kick-ass fighting skills and a new set of wheels (in the form of an awesome motorbike) he sets out to track down the main man behind the Disciples of the Damned (DOD)
A non-stop adventure, this book had me at times frustrated at what Dom has had to go through, cheering him on and laughing out loud at some of his actions, reactions and use of modern english.
A great start to a new series. I’m really looking forward to Episode 2: The Vypers – California!!!!
Review – Forbidden Blood by Felicity Heaton
I loved Forbidden Blood. Felicity Heaton writes a killer vampire romance!!!

This book was filled with twists & turns, suspense, secrets, lies and treachery.
This was countered by wonderful main characters, lots of romance, love & passion.
My heart ached for Kearn for most of the book – he had a tragic history, the things he had to endure throughout the book were awful & how he viewed himself was so sad!!
Amber was a great heroine – loving, accepting and understanding – just what Kearn needed!! – but she too had a terrible experience to live through…. I cried much more than I expected to while reading their story!!
So much happened in a short space of time for them – the action was non-stop and Felicity hit us with a few surprise twists which I was not expecting!!!
For me, this is Felicity at her best and I rate this book 5*……. but don’t just take my word for it – grab a copy and see for yourself!!!!
Review: The Warlock King (The Kings Series Book 3) – Heather Killough-Walden
The Warlock King is book 3 in ‘The Kings’ series by Heather Killough-Walden.

Following on from The Phantom King, this book is Jason & Chloe’s story.
Heather really ramps up the intrigue and mystery in this latest instalment.
The story is fast paced, full of twists & turns, surprises, new characters (as well as some old friends!) and suspense… Heather left us holding our breath with a real cliffhanger of an ending, will be interesting to see how thing develop in the next book – The Goblin King
Although I imagine you could read the book without having read The Vampire or Phantom King, I honestly think you would enjoy and understand the story more if you started the series from the beginning!!!
Review: Spellbound (Vampire Realms Romance Series Book 5) – Felicity Heaton
Good gods, what a Smokin’ Hot read!!! Spellbound was everything I expected it to be and more!!

I love Prophecy & Valentine, though I must confess, I’ve never been a fan of Venturi – but saying that I did enjoy this story (as long as it’s not gonna happen on a regular basis and Prophecy & Valentine have much more of an exclusive relationship in future books!!)
Down & dirty, dirty from pretty much start to finish – 2 hot and hunky ‘sex slaves’ to celebrate her Death Day – what a way to spend a night!! Lucky, lucky girl……
Spellbound was way hotter than the other Prophecy books – mainly as this story features solely on their enjoyment of each other, there’s no outside issues to intrude on the trio’s fun!!
Felicity Heaton really raised the bar in the seductive, sensual & erotic stakes with this one!!!!
Review: Killer Thoughts (PowerUp! Book 8) – Marie Harte
The final chapter in the PowerUp! series sadly, but what a way to go!!!

I loved ‘Killer Thoughts’. Was great finding out Owen’s skills & secrets and getting to see the real Ian…. have really like his character since we met him in Retrocog!!
The dynamic between the pair was interesting. Another great, likeable couple to read about!!!
Loads of action and adventure as we’ve come to expect from this series – Marie knows how to write a fast-paced, passion packed page turner of a book!!
This really has been a favourite series of mine and I”m truly sad it’s ended!! Fear not, MH will give us loads more fantastic books I’m sure!!!
Give Killer Thoughts a read, you won’t be disappointed!!!!
Review: Stress Relief – Evangeline Angerson

I love Evangeline’s books and ‘Stress Relief’ was no exception.
This was a great short, hot & sexy read…. perfect for a quiet afternoon!!
Likeable characters and the story isn’t bogged down with too much detail!!
Another 5* story from EA!!!! 😀
Review: Rebecca’s Lost Journals Volume 2: The Contract
The Contract is book 2 of ‘Rebecca’s Lost Journals’ and Lisa Renee Jones keeps us firmly strapped in on our roller-coaster ride!!!!

This book finds us delving deeper into Rebecca’s life. There are more clues to who ‘The Master’ truly is – but just when you think you’ve worked it out, Lisa throws us another curve-ball!!
This series keeps hotting up, can’t wait for Journal 3: His Submissive, though how I’ll make it to April I don’t know!!!
This Journal series can be read as a standalone set but in all honesty, you would be better reading If I Were You (which is the first book in the ‘Inside Out’ Trilogy) first as this would make more sense of what’s going on in the Journals and the characters you meet in them!!!
Another success from LRJ & a great 5* read!!!!
Review – Retrocog (PowerUp! #2) – by Marie Harte

I love the PowerUp! books – such a fab series with excellent characters and story-lines…
Retrocog is a 5* read – love Noah & Lara as a couple. They both have something different going on – Noah can see the past and Lara hears the dead. Together they set out to find the painting that Noah has been tasked with recovering.
The story is gripping – action packed and non-stop adventure. Bad, bad guys, hot and sexy good guys and a lot of down & dirty going on!!! What more can you ask for in a book?!?!
The PowerUp! series is Marie Harte at her best!!!!
Review – Fortune’s Favor (PowerUp! #4) – by Marie Harte
Fortune’s Favor is book 4 in the excellent PowerUp! series by Marie Harte. I think MH is one of the best authors I’ve come across when it comes to M/M stories.

This is Avery & Nathan’s story.
The story, as you would expect from MH, is fast paced and full of adventure!! Nathan Kraft is a charmer – too much of one at times – and Avery Holton is there, time after time, to pick him up and try to help him get himself back together.
The build up and deepening of the guys relationship as we work our way through the book makes for an hot, interesting & emotional read.
Next in the series is Flight of Fancy.
