I’ve been looking forward to the ‘MARKED’ anthology since it was announced that it was coming out!
The main draw in the beginning for me was Kit Rocha’s ‘Beyond Temptation’ – I adore the ‘BEYOND’ books and was excited to read the new novella in the series (which is one of my Top 5 series EVER)!! – but as I read through the book I realised that I’d found another author who’s books I’m just gonna love!!!
Beyond Temptation (Beyond series #3.5): Kit Rocha
LOVEDLOVEDLOVED IT!! Gods, Emma & Noah’s story was way hotter than I expected it to be and added a great plot arc to the whole series… Looking forward to watching this play out!
Have to say that I’ve got a little thing going for the ‘new boy’ in Sector 4!
‘Beyond Temptation’ has loads of action and a few twists that keep you gripped and the sex, as always, just about causes spontaneous combustion!!!
Noah and his secrets about events in both their pasts & Emma’s reaction to revelations made had me wanting to shake both of them at times….
The attraction and heat between N & E was intense – exactly what we’ve come to expect from the KR girls and this series!!! Can’t wait for Beyond Jealousy – just know Ace, Rach & Cruz’s story is gonna blow our minds!!!
Rocky Ride (Thompson & Sons series #1): Vivian Arend
I have to be honest and say that while I’ve had a couple of Viv’s books on my kindle for some time now I’ve never got round to reading them…. that will be resolved VERY soon!!!
‘Rocky Road’ was a fantastic read and a fab start to the new ‘Thompson & Sons’ series. With characters from Vivian’s ‘Six Pack Ranch’ series, this book was full of heat, passion and sexy scenes!!
Great, likeable characters. The relationship that was growing between Anna & Mitch was scorching and my heart was aching reading about how much they are prepared to put on the line to be together…..
Itching to read ‘Baby, Be Mine’ book #2 in the series!!
All That Remains: Lauren Dane
I’ve read a couple of Lauren’s ‘Visits to Petal’ books and thoroughly enjoyed them!!
‘All That Remains’ was an incredibly hot, erotic & sexy read but it also had a very sweet feel to it. I loved Charlie, he was my fave character of the triad. I totally understood Summers uncertainty and why she held back from Hatch after their past history.. Hatch, even when being a complete idiot is still irresistible!!
I really loved the whole dystopian style world that this story suggested. Being back to basics and living a simple life gave focus to what was really important between the 3 characters.
I’ll definitely be 1-clicking more of Lauren’s books.
The anthology was a 5* read for me.. and a definite must have if you are a fan of a great hot story!!!

Recommendation & Review ~ Craving Constellations by Nicole Jacquelyn

MY REVIEW:
I had heard a few things, all positive, before I got to reading Craving Constellations. I have to say, for me, they were all correct!!
Nicole Jacquelyn gave us a fantastic first book in the Aces MC series and I honestly couldn’t believe it was her first published book!!!! I loved it – it’s one of my Top 10 reads of 2013 (I’ve already read it 3 times and it will be a favourite ‘Go To’ book I know!!)
There’s enough reviews already that tell you what the story is all about so I’m not gonna go into it!
The one thing I will say is that violence to women isn’t something that I would necessarily want to read about but in certain situations I can work my way through it…… as hard to read as it may be!!
I liked all of the main characters we met – didn’t always like that they did or said but for me they rounded out the story well. I absolutely hated the wife beating bastard that Brenna was running away from and the twisted ex of Dragon’s was a bitch… but I have to say they were well written for me to hate them as I did!!!
Craving Constellations isn’t gonna be everyone’s kind of read but if you like your MC books a little darker and grittier then this is one you’ll love.
I am looking forward to the next book in the series ~ Craving Redemption ~ I’m sure I’m gonna love it as much as I did CC.

MY REVIEW:
I really enjoy the Cougar Falls series from Marie Harte and Prey & Prejudice was no exception…..
Zoe Castille is the little sister of Quince (who we met in his own story, ‘By The Tail’). Miles Bermin is the older brother of Joy, who we also met in ‘By The Tail’ as she is the mate of Quince….. (BtT is another book that’s worth a read!)
Miles is currently the Alpha of the Cougar Falls pride – a position he gained by default and not a role he would have chosen given the choice….
Newly returned to the pride and determined to lead them to happier times, Zoe expects nothing more than to step into her brothers shoes and take over as the alpha of the pride ~ not knowing that Miles and not Quince is in charge……
Both are as stubborn, arrogant and determined as the other and this leads to some power struggles between them – as you’d expect, these struggles eventually lead to some hot down & dirty scenes…… 😉
The interactions between Miles & Zoe and the way she loves to push his buttons were great & to read fun!!! 😀
The book has action, loads of heat & passion and some laughs… As ever we had great characters ~ old and new ~ and a healthy dose of nasty enemy shifters, this time in the form of some down right annoying raptors.
A great combination that all blended together to create another fab read from Marie.
If you’re a fan of the series you won’t be disappointed with Prey & Prejudice. If you’re new to the Cougar Falls books check them out, they really are worth a look!!!!

MY REVIEW
I’ve been looking forward to ‘The Lost Souls’ since I finished book #2, ‘My Soul To Take’ and boyza, I was not disappointed…. Madeline has created an awesome world full of darkness, magic, love, loss & heartache and I loved every single second of the emotional rollercoaster I found myself on!
In ‘The Lost Souls’ we catch up with characters we met in the previous 2 books. Hockey, Shandor, Carrie, Marko and a few others. The book covers the time from the guys in the clan leaving camp to go on the unsuccessful raid until slightly before the point where we left things at the end of MSTT.
We get glimpses of Xan and see how much he is suffering from the loss of Trinity and his subsequent finding out that she may still be alive – glad to say he has (finally) given up his manwhoring ways, but I’m still mad at him…. what a stupid, stupid man, that is so gonna bite him in the butt very soon!!!
We catch up with Becki who, once again, isn’t leading the life she would chose if she had a choice. We see Nico, Tobar and some other clan members and find out what happens with them.
‘The Lost Souls’ doesn’t just apply to Trin/Xan/Gerik and their separation and/or relationship but takes on a whole new meaning when we look at the characters in this book and the path their lives have taken since we last saw them.
I am a HUGE paranormal fan and I just ADORE the Trinity books. ‘The Lost Souls’ beautifully ties together what has happened so far in ‘The Soul Mates’ & ‘My Soul To Take’ and sets us up for the final instalment ‘My Heart & Soul’ which is due out in the summer of 2014. I haven’t been so excited about a book in quite a while and it’s gonna take all I have to wait patiently to find out how everything works out!!!
If you haven’t checked out this series yet, do so NOW, it is so worth the read!!!
I love that the story is so very different from most other books that are out there and the situations that the characters find themselves in are far removed from anything that could or would happen in everyday life.
The story will really make you think and, if you’re anything like me, you’ll cry bloody buckets but you’ll also laugh, smile and feel a little bit hopeful that maybe, just maybe, things will turn out right!!!
Can’t wait for more of the clan and to find out what happens with Xan, Trinity & Gerik the dragon….
Have to admit, I’m still #TeamXan….. 😉

MY REVIEW
I’ve loved the ‘Her Angel’ series from Felicity Heaton since I read ‘Her Dark Angel’ which is Apollyon’s story!! Each book written has been better and hotter than the last… when we last visited the series in Her Demonic Angel (with Veiron, my favourite of all the guys ’til that point), I didn’t think Felicity could out do herself.. well, how wrong I was!!!
Her Wicked Angel takes the series to new heights. It introduces fantastic new characters, more twists, turns & surprises and ramps up the pace and tension of the continued storyline!!
We meet all our old favourites but Asmodeus and Liora add a new edge to the whole thing!!!
When we previously met Asmodeus he was positively evil, truly wicked and torturing poor Nevar….. When we meet him in HWA we see him from a different perspective and boy, is this guy a contradiction in terms.. A wicked angel, fashioned from evil, who is really innocent and naive in so many unexpected way and still kinda wicked – but in a really hot way !!! 😉
Asmodeus’s interactions with the other angels, especially Apollyon, are at times fun to watch and gods, how I love those hell hounds!!
Liora is one of the good guys (well, good witches) with a touch of a dark streak that has recently gotten her into some trouble – I honestly loved the fact that she wasn’t a goody, goody like her cousin!
The story was fast moving, action packed and filled with passion, romance, loads of tension and surprises!!
Felicity has hit the ball out of the park with book 6…. Can’t wait to see what she brings us in the next instalment!!!
If you haven’t read any of this series yet, do yourself a favour and get on it now!! Fantastic plot, great characters and loads of heat, passion and excitement, these books are a firm favourite of mine & definite go to reads again and again!!!!
This for me is a no questions 5* read – I would give it more *s if I could!!!!

MY REVIEW
Beyond Pain is the 3rd book in the series by the Kit Rocha girls.
I have been looking forward to reading BP since I finished Beyond Control and jeez, the ladies have made it well worth the wait.
Donna & Bree have outdone themeselves with Beyond Pain. The story was XXXX HOT and then some….. this book is seriously sexy and hits us with doses of exhibitionism, voyeurism, menage and kink.
The Sector 3 story that started in BC continues in BP – we get more of an insight into the wider world of the sectors and we meet new characters that I’m sure will crop up again as the series continues.
Dallas & Lex are kept busy with Sector business as things are moving at a pace. Bren has been given the task of starting to look over Sector 3 and this takes Six back to a world she is trying to forget. There’s a lot of action and a fair share of violence…
BP revolves around Bren & Six and their developing relationship.
Six has been used, abused and mentally beaten and is a whole lot broken. Her self worth is non existant and she feels kinda lost in the new world she finds herself in in Sector 4. After all she suffered at the hands of Trent, she doesn’t trust anyone anymore – except, it seems – to some degree, Bren.
Bren is an awesome character – hard as hell but with Six he is quiet, patient and caring. He does everything he can to get her to fully trust him and to start believing in herself again – never pushing and leaving her to make her own choices. He is kinda broken himself after his own experiences in Eden and we see how his growing relationship with Six affects him throughout the book.
As you would expect with a Beyond book, the sex is extremely hot but in BP there isn’t the group sexfest we experienced in BC.
There are more than a few smokin’ hot scenes – with 2 or 3 in particular that curled my toes in the best way possible!!!!!
The usual favourites are all featured and at points we are treated to the POV of a few individuals that added an interesting spin on the book & series and gives us a little glimpse into possible stories to come.
Beyond Pain for me is a 5* read. I love this series and everything about it!!
I cannot wait for Beyond Jealousy – that’s gonna be another scorcher of a read!!!

I really enjoyed Charmed Spirits. Carrie Ann has given us a great start to the Holiday, Montana series.
Felt for both Matt & Jordan as both had their own demons to try and deal with. Great characters and you just know the Cooper Brothers are gonna provide us with loads of interesting tales.

‘Love in Electric Blue’ is book 3 in the Westlake Enterprises series from the extremely talented Marie Harte…..
This is Remy & J.D’s story. Both are IT specialist working for private investigation firms – Remy with Buchanan Investigations and J.D with Westlake Enterprises. As with the other employees at both companies, the pair have psychic abilities – in this case both can manipulate electricity!!
With a joint history that, in the main, isn’t a happy one, Remy & J.D are thrown together again when both of their lives are threatened by a common enemy.
There is a lot of pain & hurt, a distinct lack of trust, misunderstandings, regret and a not small amount of conflicted feelings that the pair need to plow wheir way through before they can work together to ensure their safety. Sparks fly (quite literally) in this Westlake adventure and things start to heat up quickly!
The bad guy has a serious screw loose and isn’t going to give up easily… There’s a lot of action, mystery, suspense, a few twists and a touch of violence. As we’ve come to expect from Marie, there’s also laugh out load humour, a load of passion, lust & attraction as well as some really hot down and dirty action!!!
Remy & JD are a great, well matched couple and I really enjoyed reading their story. We meet up with some familiar – Max, Cole, Luc and Thorne from Buchanans as well as Hunter & Jurek from Westlake to name a few! I love this series and hopefully Marie will bring us more books following our other favourite Buchanan & Westlake characters…
If you fancy a good, entertaining read with more than an edge of tension & tons of heat pick up the Westlake Enterprise series and enjoy!!!

New Release & Recommendation – UNLEASH (VET series #6) by Felicity Heaton

I’ve been a big fan on the VET series from Felicity Heaton since I read the first book, Covet!!
UNLEASH is SNOW’S story and is, sadly, the 6th and final book involving the Vampirerotique Theatre and the group of vampires that live and work there! Fans of Felicity’s books & the girls over at her Mistress of Midnight Street Team have waited a good while for the big guys story but gods, I’m sure they’d all agree it was well worth it!!!!
Snow has been involved in each of the VET characters books from the beginning and we have watched as he fought hard to overcome his bloodlust & try to lead as good & quiet a life as he could – not easy to live when you need to be chained hand and foot to a bed on an almost daily basis to avoid hurting yourself and/or others!!!
In Unleash we find out about Snow’s past, what has happened in his very long life and the tragic events that led to him being so tortured & haunted. We discover why his brother, Antoine, worries about him so much and we find that there may just be a small glimmer of hope for his future!!!
This is a true love story – however, it was no bed of roses or all heart and flowers!!!- No – reading Snow’s story was absolutely heartbreaking at times!! I cried (a lot) from nearly the beginning of the book and used up a not so small pile of tissues throughout!!! Aurora – Snow’s lady love – is not what you’d expect and she has quite a sad tale to tell too!
I was so torn about the fact that Snow’s story was the final book in the series as, while I was desperate to read it, I was sad that this was the end of our time with everyone at the theatre…. Thankfully, Felicity has hinted that this might not be the last we that we come across our vampires and their ‘family’!!
We get a chance to see all of our favourite characters for one last time!! This was a fabulous finale to a wonderful series and for me it’s a definite 5* read
While you could most likely read Unleash as a standalone , I honestly think that to enjoy it fully you should read the rest of the series in order. Hope you love them as much as I did!!!!
