Oli slammed the door shut with his foot and stood there a moment, his head slightly downcast but his gaze locked right on me. He looked so primal in this moment, like the animal he truly was.
He was in front of me a second later, and instinctively I knew what to do, what he wanted.
I tilted my head back as far as it would go, and then latched his mouth onto my throat. The sound that left him was distorted, animal-like, and filled with as much desire as I felt.
The way he looked at me, the way his gaze tracked me when I moved the slightest inch, had my breath hitching.
“India,” he whispered. “My India. I could devour you until there wasn’t anything left, until you were crying out my name, writhing for me as I fuck you.”
I opened my mouth slightly, the air leaving me. He moved a step toward me and the air stalled in my lungs.
“I’d push your hair aside and bare your slender throat. My mouth is already watering, India. I’m so fucking hungry for you.” And then he had his hand on my nape, his fingers curled into my flesh.
He leaned in and I was frozen in place, the feel of his warm breath on my skin having me close my eyes, moaning softly. “The things I want to do to you…” He growled low against my throat, and I felt the vibrations all the way between my thighs.

BLP REVIEW – Tracy

Mr. March is quite possibly my favourite so far in the Calendar Boys series. Packed with so much emotion, love, caring and sweetness Luke & Mia’s story was fantastic. Another ‘couldn’t put down’ read from Nicole S. Goodin, who keeps raising the bar with each instalment of this series.

Neither had had the best life over the last two years but they had each other – even if they looked at their ‘relationship’ differently.
Luke is all in as far as Mia is concerned and though he started out looking out for her as a promise to Troy, it wasn’t long before he was taking care of her because he was emotionally invested.
In Mia’s case, she has begun to see Luke as an important part of her life, even if she hasn’t looked at him as more than a good friend – until now.

This story was full of hope for the future and once this couple decided to move out of the friend-zone watching their relationship – and Luke’s love of Mia’s little boy – blossom, it was adorable!

A well deserved 5* read which I would certainly recommend

Excerpt:

I can still feel the burn in my cheeks as I shut the door behind the detective who has just spent the better part of an hour asking us a whole bunch of questions.

I felt like I had a big neon sign flashing over my head saying, ‘I’m guilty – arrest me – I just kissed my late husband’s best friend’.

Luke’s still here – of course – he’d never leave me to deal with anything like this alone. He’s such a good man.

And I kissed him.

I don’t know what on earth went through my head, but it just felt right.

It’s been so long since I’ve had a man pressed up against me like that, and it wasn’t just some man either, it was a familiar one, one that feels like home, and I kissed him.

After everything he’s done for Joe and me, I came onto him like some kind of desperate slag.

I don’t know what to do now. Half of me wants to go upstairs and hide under my covers, and the other half wants to go into the living room and kiss him again.

I’ve got to start by saying Offsides is the first Kristen Hope Mazzola book I’ve read but I loved it and will definitely be checking out more of her work now!!

I floved Logan and Ari. Yeah, their story wasn’t that long, things moved kinda quick and one of them was more openly invested than the other (I kinda felt the need to shake our leading lady a couple of times but as she – or rather her thoughts and reactions to the possibility of a serious relationship – was the angst of the story in the main, I managed not to get too p’d off with her)

A different take on a sports star – he was definitely not what I was expecting – and a slightly reluctant geeky heroine made this a fun and engaging read and I’m looking forward to more from KHM.

“I’m sixteen, and I’ve never been kissed.” I put my hands on his chest, feeling my breasts grazing his body. “I waited for you.”

Kat Mizera is a South Florida native. Born in Miami Beach with a healthy dose of wanderlust, she’s called Los Angeles, Long Island, upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Atlanta home. She’s never been able to pick which locale is her favorite, but if pressed, she’d probably choose the west coast.
Kat’s a typical PTA mom with a wonderful and supportive husband (Kevin) and two amazing boys (Nick and Max). When she’s not writing, she’s either scrapbooking or indulging in her second love (after writing) – traveling. Greece is one of her favorite places in the world. She loves that Athens is a big city with a small-town feel. The food, beaches and culture keep her going back as often as possible. She hopes to retire there one day so she can spend her days writing books on the beach.
Kat has been a working freelance writer for nearly 30 years. She sold her first article–a review of a rock concert–for $10 in 1985. Since then she’s been an entertainment journalist, waitress, bartender, legal assistant, food critic, magazine editor, substitute teacher, and sports writer. Freya Barker keeps raising the bar when it comes to her books….

I’ll be the first to admit that I found it hard to connect or understand Luna Roosberg when we’ve previously met her in the series. I could never quite put my finger on why I couldn’t get a handle on her but Ms B worked her magic as usual and pretty much from the outset of HWY 550 and Luna’s character totally won me round.
She’s tough and brusque on the outside but we soon discover that this hardshell covers a very different woman!

Ouray….man, what can I say about this guy!! He’s kinda brusque and tough himself but that’s a given seeing as he’s the president of an MC club, but he’s another one who has a completely different hidden centre, it’s just taken one particular woman to bring it to the fore (not that he lets everyone see the sweet, protective side of him that Luna releases – he has an image to protect after all!)

With a couple of interesting and complex storylines running through the story, there was plenty of action and characters, new and old, that all added to the fun and made for a fabulous read. Hot, steamy and a touch of sweet with a load of heart, Freya let us catch up with favourites from previous stories and teasingly introduces us to a possible couple for a future book in the series….. YAY!!

As well written as you would most definitely expect from FB, this was another excellent instalment in the La Plana County FBI ROCK POINT series and I cannot wait to see what happens next!
