Excerpt #1
Diamond Girl (Book #1)

Slate was waiting for me at the bus stop when I arrived. I shamelessly flew into his arms as soon as I stepped to the curb. “I fucking missed you,” I said, “And I don’t want to hear shit about it, either.”
He laughed softly, as he wrapped his arm around me, pulling me closely as we walked to his apartment.
Once there, we were like two savages that hadn’t been together for months instead of days. I tore at his clothing, and he tore at mine. Once naked, he unceremoniously lifted me from the pile of clothing and placed me on his bed.
He lowered himself beside me, gently pulling me into his strong arms and kissed me softly all over. His lips brushed my lips, and then moved to my neck, peppering me with kisses as his tongue blazed a path to my breasts. His mouth suckled each one thoroughly, and soft moans escaped my lips as his fingers explored my wet pussy, and then dipped inside of me sending shock waves of pleasure throughout my body.
I watched as his hand moved from my pussy. He brought his fingers up to my lips. “Lick,” he said, pushing his wet fingers against my lips. “I want you to see what you taste like.”

Excerpt #2
Love Plus One (Book #2)

My mom looked at me with a puzzled look on her face. She couldn’t figure out why I would ask about Taz. Her eyes lowered to the ‘FBI’ hoodie I was wearing and her look of puzzlement swiftly changed to one of suspicion.

“That isn’t one of Slate’s hoodies,” she noted, “He only wears the tee shirts.”

I looked down, my fingers plucked a piece of imaginary lint from the front. “No,” I borrowed it from …Taz,” I replied slowly, looking back up at her.

Her expression had now morphed into total confusion.
“Why would you borrow a hoodie from Taz?”
Ahh… geez.
“Because I needed something to wear to bed.
There. I’d said it. The secret was out and I was relieved.

“Lindsey, no,” she said in a loud whisper, clearly horrified. Her hand had moved to cover her mouth.

“Mom, Taz and I have gotten…close. It’s a caring relationship.”

“On your part, I’m sure,” she said, “But, honey–Taz isn’t boyfriend material. I mean the stories I’ve heard from Eric,” she breaks off, shaking her head.
I continued to watch her turning this piece of information over in her head. Waiting.

“So…I take it you’re no longer . . . Uhm…”
Don’t say it, Mom. Please. Don’t. Say. It.
“A virgin?
Damn. She said it.

“That’s correct, Mom,” I replied, hesitantly. “That’s no longer the case.”

Night Moves (Book #3)

“Easton,” I said, trying to feel him out. “I’m getting some very mixed signals here.” I tried to pull my hands back, but his grip was strong. He didn’t release his hold.

“It’s simple, I’ve missed being with you.”

“What do you mean? We were just together last night. We spent almost all morning together at the office, we had a working lunch together, and now you’ve hauled me out for dinner. I’d say over the last 24 hours, we’ve spent more time together than most married couples.”

“Don’t play with me,” he quipped. “You know what I’m talking about. This doesn’t bode well for me.”

I sighed audibly. The truth was, my body ached for him as well as for his discipline, but these newly adopted scruples of mine were wreaking havoc with my better judgment. What else could I do but be honest?

“Easton I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss the experience of being with you. It was something else, no doubt about it. But things have changed. There’s no getting around that. I told you how I felt last night. I need to get my priorities in order. Nothing’s a given for me anymore. I have to earn my success. I really want to put my best foot forward with my career. You seemed to understand that last night. It’s just not a good idea.”

“Yes,” he replied quietly, giving what I’d said some thought while rubbing my fingers with his. “Of course, you’re right. It’s not a good idea, assuredly. It would cross the line you set, which by the way, I totally respect and admire the fact that you’re putting your career first, much like me, I suppose.” His gray eyes studied me and my heart did a fast pitter-pat at the feel of his fingers intertwining with mine.

“I appreciate your understanding and thank you for noticing that I’ve taken this new role seriously. I don’t want anything to jeopardize my ability to succeed,” I said.

He was still holding fast to my fingers. My heart continued the pitter-pat rhythm.

“Absolutely,” he replied, earnestly. “You’re to be commended. Still,” he said, his voice dropping an octave and his lips curling into that beautiful smile that couldn’t be good for my pulse, “I just can’t get that picture out of my head.”

Silence…

“What picture?” I asked finally, squirming just a tad in my seat.

“The picture of your beautiful face after I’ve used the crop and when my lips softly place those little butterfly kisses on that very special spot of yours.”

Oh holy Jesus!

“Which one?” I asked raising an eyebrow, immediately regretting it.

“The one right…here,” he said softly, brushing his thumb against that sensitive area I had on my neck, an inch or two south of my earlobe. I knew the one. He continued to lightly caress it, his eyes growing darker.

“Ahh, yes,” I said, remembering the way he’d made me tingle and my toes curl just with his soft kisses on that spot. “That spot.” I shifted uneasily.
Focus, Darcy. Disengage. I repeat: disengage!
“And then, you know, there’s that other special spot of yours…,” he murmured.

“Easton,” I warned, my tone getting stern. I shifted nervously.

“You know the one, love? That very deep, sensitive spot inside of you that loves the feel of my fingers and cock rubbing against it. Such a shame you haven’t had the pleasure of feeling my unsheathed cock. I’m betting my cock jewelry would likely put you over the edge. You’ve wondered about that, haven’t you? When you’re lying in bed at night, when the world gets slightly quieter as your imagination runs a little wilder…” His hand made its way to the nape of my neck, his fingers lightly drawing shapes across the sensitive skin. “I bet you have that night on replay, along with those thoughts of yours when you saw my piercing. And then you wonder what it would feel like to have it gently scrape your clit, slowly at first, but then I’d go a little faster. A little harder. Until I took it deeper and started all over again. And again.”

By this time, I could feel the wet spot in my panties. My lips were dry, so I merely nodded in agreement.

“Oh,” he said, smiling again, “Let’s not forget those very enticing nipples of yours and the way they respond when I taste them, right before I take them full into my mouth to suck. Hard. Quite a rush, isn’t it?”

Oh God!
The server approached, setting our drinks down, ready to take our order.
“Darcy?” Easton nodded, as the server waited, poised to write my order down.
“Uh, nothing for me, I’m still full from lunch.” He turned to Easton for his order.
“Check please.”

These Men (Spin-Off) M/F/M

And suddenly, there were another pair of hands in the mix. I hadn’t heard Cain come in, but there he was, intent on joining us.

I felt his calloused fingertips gently rubbing my lower back, and smoothing down over my hips, where his thumbs hooked into the elastic band of my thong, and he slowly lowered it down, where it pooled around my feet on the bed.

Eli’s mouth moved from mine, and I watched as Cain, already stripped down to his tee shirt and boxers, leaned in and captured Eli’s lips with his, their tongues swirling together in a frenzied and familiar passion.

I watched, totally mesmerized by their rhythm and cadence, caught between them, and feeling the heat of their love wrapped around me like a cozy blanket.

Author Information  andrea smith bio

I was born and raised in southern Ohio, and with the exception of a brief stint in Dallas, TX, have been an Ohioan most of my life. My dream has always been to write a novel, and back in the early eighties I tried to do just that, having been influenced by authors such as Kathleen Woodiwiss, Johanna Lindsey, Rosemary Rogers and Laurie McBain. I remember writing to all of them through their listed publishers, and the only response I received was from Johanna Lindsey (who lived in Hawaii at the time.

Ms. Lindsey advised me to continue with my dream; and to submit to various publishers again and again. Of course, at that time, publishing e-books yourself was not on the horizon; there were vanity publishing houses of course, but she advised me to avoid those.

So my dream was put on the back-burner for more than 25 years until June of 2012 when suddenly I no longer had a reason not to write a novel. My sons were grown; I found myself without a career (blessedly) and the creative juices flowed once again.

I finished my first novel, “Maybe Baby” in September of 2012; the next two books in the “Baby Series” titled “Baby Love” and “Be My Baby” were published in early 2013. I learned a lot in my first endeavor with self-publishing. I’ve made so many friends as a result that it is over-whelming.

In the spring of 2013, I had an idea for a different type of Alpha, and wrote Book #1 of the “G-Man” Series, titled “Diamond Girl.” This book was well-received, and I followed it with Book #2, “Love Plus One.” These are stand-alone books.

I am finally doing what I love and I sincerely appreciate the wonderful readers who provide feedback and take the time to comment. I hope that with each book, my writing has grown and improved as I strive to publish quality fiction.

Prologue

Natalie

“Oh, Chloe, if you’d like to come out, please wait until your Daddy gets back,” I insist, holding my belly as another Braxton Hicks contraction hits. I grip the dresser and try to breathe through it. It seems like they’re coming more frequently.
Once it passes, I try to finish what I came in here for. Aaron is away, but I want the nursery done so we can enjoy the next few weeks once he returns. I walk around what will be her room, putting a few more of the pretty pink dresses in the drawers. Aaron and I have fought about the vast array of pink things that are now strewn around the house—he hates it, I love it.
He insisted we paint her room in camouflage. Brown, green, and black camouflage for a girl? No. I almost sent myself into labor with that argument. I got home and he and Mark were drawing it out on the walls. I launched various household items at Mark while throwing him out of the house. My husband found out shortly after how much he could suffer by my hands. I may not be a SEAL, but you don’t mess with me either. In the end, I won with purple walls and the sheer netting around her white crib.
“Daddy’s going to love this room, Chloe. I can’t wait to see his face when he sees the pretty butterflies.” Needing to take another break, I sit in the rocking chair and rub my stomach. It soothes me knowing she’s in there. I can protect her—it’s my job. I love being pregnant and it’s a miracle we were able to conceive her. I’ve already told Aaron I want to try for another one as soon as she’s born. I close my eyes and sink, allowing the world to fade away.
I imagine holding her in my arms, sitting here in this chair, soothing and kissing her. I picture Aaron with her asleep on his chest as she gets to hear his heartbeat. She’ll own his world and have him wrapped around her finger.
Knock, knock, knock.
I hear the door, but it takes me a few seconds to get out of the chair.
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK.
They bang louder this time.
“Coming!” I yell at the door. Jeez, give me a second.
Waddling to the door takes me a minute since I’m the size of a whale.
I open the door and see Mark Dixon, Aaron’s boss and close friend. He works at Cole Security Forces with Aaron and served with him for years. His head is hanging low and when he looks up, his eyes are full of sorrow.
“What’s wrong?”
“Lee,” he chokes on the one syllable of my name. The one Aaron uses. Something is definitely not right.
“What happened?” I ask again as I begin to shake.
Tears fill his eyes and I know. I know my life is never going to be the same. I know everything I’ve ever feared is about to come true because Mark doesn’t cry. Mark wouldn’t be at my door if something weren’t really, really wrong. “It’s Aaron.”
My heart stops beating and the world I live in ceases to exist. “Don’t,” I beg with tears blurring my vision and my breath accelerating.
This can’t be happening.
“Please, don’t, Mark. Please,” I beg him again, because once he says it…but I know it’s futile. It doesn’t matter because he can’t stop it. It’s already happened.
“Natalie, I’m so sorry.”
The dreaded words that every military wife fears. Only I wasn’t supposed to have to worry about this anymore. We were done. We got out. I wasn’t supposed to ever fear this again.
Please, God, don’t take him from me. Please!
“But, I’m p-pregnant. I’m having a baby,” I stammer as if that will somehow make none of this real. “He said he’d be back. He said he…” I trail off as it becomes difficult to breathe. My hand flies to my mouth to stifle the scream about to escape. Everything goes colorless.
“It was an IED. I’m sorry,” Mark says as his eyes glimmer with unshed tears.
I fall.
But he’s there, cradling me in his arms. “I’m so fucking sorry.”
“No. No. No.” Mark holds me as I sob clutching my stomach. “You’re lying,” I hiss, tearing myself out of his embrace.
“I wish I were,” he says as I struggle to get up.
“It was a mistake. He’s having a baby. He said it was a simple in and out!” I scream and throw my hands against his chest. “You’re lying!” I scream, even knowing it’s not a lie.
“I’m sorry.”
“Stop saying you’re sorry!” My sorrow turns to hatred. I hate him. I hate everyone in this moment. I hate Aaron and everyone who was there. I hate this house and everything in it. I hate the air that he no longer breathes. Hate consumes me. Hate smothers me. “Get out!” I yell and push against his chest. “Get the fuck out of my house! Aaron will be back in a few days and then we’re going to get ready for our daughter to be born.”
“Please,” Mark beseeches and I refuse to look at him.
This isn’t happening because Aaron’s alive.
He’s not dead. How dare Mark lie to me.
“He’ll be back. He wouldn’t leave me. He promised.” Aaron wouldn’t lie to me. He never does. When he left for missions, he would always say goodbye like it could be our last. But this time he kissed the tip of my nose and said, “Now don’t have that baby until I get back.”
“Can I call someone? Your mom?”
“No, you can’t call anyone because he’s not dead! Go get him, Mark! Go get my husband and bring him home.” I step back pointing my finger at him. “You all promised. He promised.” I clutch my stomach as a sharp pain radiates, but it’s nothing compared to the agony sitting on my chest. Tears flow relentlessly as I struggle against his hold. “He promised.”
“I know he did,” Mark says as he holds my head against his chest.
“He lied.”
My life is gone.
My heart is dead.
I’m a widow at twenty-seven.

Excerpt #1

Aarabelle sits in her highchair as I feed her dinner. She’s growing so fast. Already she’s eating cereal and a little baby food. Soon she’ll be crawling and I have no one to celebrate with. Her father will never see these milestones and it breaks me apart.
“You should really lock the door,” Liam huffs as he throws his coat over the chair.
“But then I’d have to get up to let you in,” I state matter-of-factly and go back to feeding the baby, trying to put aside my worries. The fact is…this is reality. I have to deal with it.
“Uh huh. Hey, Pumpkin,” his eyes alight as he crouches down by Aara. It’s adorable hearing grown men use a baby voice. It gets a little softer and higher pitched.
The corners of her mouth lift and she throws her arms in the air when he gets close. My heart sputters seeing how happy she gets seeing him. Liam kisses her head and she giggles.
“At least someone is happy to see me,” he says playfully.
“I’d be happy if you brought me a present,” I joke.
He laughs and goes into the pocket of his coat. “Just so happens I did, but since that’s the only way you’ll be nice, I’ll hold on to this until you’ve earned it.”
Practically leaping out of my chair, I rush over. “What is it?” I try to peer around his back as he holds the mystery item.
Liam’s lips curl as he sees how much I want this. I don’t even know what it is. Jeez, I’m an idiot. “Nope. We eat first, then maybe you’ll get it.”
“Watch, it’s a freaking Pez dispenser or something stupid.”
“Guess you’ll have to be nice to find out.” He shoves the item into his back pocket and I fight the urge to reach and get it. “How was work?”
We spend the next thirty minutes going over my day and Jackson’s return. Liam never mentioned that they spoke, but he’s surprised to hear he’s in Virginia. After we finish the pizza, Liam somehow convinces me we should watch a movie. I get Aarabelle to bed and come down to find him sprawled out on the couch.
“By all means, make yourself comfortable.”
Liam pulls his beanie higher on his forehead and his eyes glimmer with amusement. He sits up and puts the TV on. “I picked the movie.”
“What?” I ask with mock incredulity. “It’s my house. Why do you get to pick the movie?”
“Ummm, I’m the guest.” He shrugs as if this should be an obvious answer.
I groan and lean back. “What crappy, shoot-‘em-up movie do I have to endure?”
“You’ll see. It’s a classic.”

Excerpt #2

I lift my head and press my lips against his. His hand cradles my cheek and he holds me as we kiss. I grab his neck and feel the weightlessness from letting a little part of myself go. He kisses me adoringly and cautiously, allowing me to lead but still commanding me. I lose myself a little more as I moan when his hand presses against the small of my back.
“Let go,” he says against my mouth. “Let me take it for you.”
Before I can say anything, his mouth is on mine again. Our tongues thrash against each other as the kiss becomes hungry. He pulls me close so there’s no space between us. The low sound resonates through his chest, sending shivers down my spine. It’s sexy, and before I know it, my hands are traveling to his chest. I pull his shirt out and my fingers trail up his chest. I want to feel his skin.
Liam breaks the kiss. “Natalie,” my name is both a plea and a request.
“Shhh,” I instruct him as I unbutton his shirt. “I want to feel your heart.”
My hands glide up and he trembles beneath my touch. We stand here with my fingers resting on his chest, feeling his heart beat beneath me. He’s alive and here with me. His hands stay at his sides as he once again lets me decide where I’m going with this.
“I want to touch you so bad,” he admits and his hand lifts then drops. “I’m fighting every muscle in my body right now.”
“Stop fighting,” I say without thinking.

Excerpt: Captain’s Surprise

I close my eyes and draw in a long, slow breath. “Listen, Kade, I’m honored that you got up at 5:30 in the morning to spend time with me, but I don’t do this,” I say, as I wave my hand back and forth between us.

“I’ve been up since 4:30 thinking about spending time with you,” he says, with a playful smile.
I roll my eyes. “Your room is right next to mine, and our walls are paper-thin. I heard your alarm, asshat.”
He shrugs, as if saying I tried. “Anyway, what do you mean by this?” he asks, now waving his hands between us.
“Talking, hanging out, friendships, relationships. All of it; I don’t do any of it.”
He narrows his eyes. “You have two friends in there that I’ve seen you talk to and hang out with.”
I can’t help the frustrated grunt that escapes. “I didn’t want friends, but they showed up looking all comfy with their marathon biker shows, and stayed at my house all day… Keegan’s all straightforward and Gemma’s so damn cute… I tried to say no.”
I’m rambling and I know it, but I can’t seem to stop. I’m looking everywhere but at Kade, and one of my legs is bouncing nervously.
“Then they keep making me go out… where I meet new people… and I have to talk to those people too… and they say funny stuff and make me smile… so I feel bad telling them I don’t want friends… then the next thing I know I’m living here and I have two best friends.” I let out one final huff, then make eye contact and plead, “I just want to be by myself, with my horses, alone in my own head. I don’t want to laugh and have fun. I want to go back to being cranky and alone, at least for a few hours.”

“You know that social isolation can alter functioning of the brain? Can lead to depression, health issues, and even impulsive behavior.”

I raise my eyebrows, unclear what he is saying.
Kade attempts to explain. “It’s like your horses. They’re social animals, so if you separate one from the herd, what happens to it?”
It becomes depressed and/or highly agitated. I don’t answer out loud, because it’s clear he already knows.
“They become extremely agitated,” he says, proving me right. “After an extended period of time of separation, the stress will begin to affect their health and they will even injure themselves in an attempt to get back to the herd.”
This is true. I’ve seen a horse go through fences to get back to its herd.
I gesture for him to get off my truck. “Okay, thanks for the lesson on isolation, but I have hungry horses waiting for me.”
Kade’s expression changes to hurt. “I just want to get to know you.”
Now I stomp my foot, getting frustrated at my failure to chase him away. “Well, I don’t want to get to know you,” I spit. It’s harsh, but I’m desperate to get away from him. Away from all the things he makes me feel.
Kade lifts both hands in surrender. “Okay, I’ll let you go play with your horses and be grumpy in peace.”
He jumps down off the tailgate and dusts off his pants. He takes a few steps, then stops when he’s next to me. He places his hand on the small of my back and leans in, so that his mouth is only an inch from my ear. “If you feel like trying the friendship-slash-hanging out thing later, I’ll be home all day.”
Surprisingly, I don’t feel the all-consuming anxiety take over my body at his touch. I clear my throat and step away. When I turn to lift my tailgate, I realize Kade left his bowl of cereal and pick it up with one hand, then instantly cover my mouth with my other hand. “What is this?”
He reaches out, retrieving the offending object from my hand. “I call it Captain’s Surprise. When I can’t decide what kind of cereal to eat I just dump them all in.” He looks down into the bowl. “Now it’s just Soggy Surprise.”
“That’s disgusting,” I say, with my hand still covering my mouth, I’m trying to hide my smile. When Kade smiles back, before turning to back into the apartment, I know I failed.

Meet Deanna Eshler

I’m a Licensed Clinical Counselor, with a masters degree, but I choose not use my degree. In 2013 I quit my job, working with foster kids and families, to stay at home with my 2 kids. That decision is one of my better ones to date.

In addition to my education in counseling, I am certified through EAGALA to provide Equestrian Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). That training, and subsequent work using horses to help kids heal, is partially where my inspiration for Shy’s story began. Watching children, and families, gain insight into their own behaviors through the horses has been an amazing process. I should mention that I’m not currently using this certification either. I like to gather information, training, titles, but I’m not big on utilizing my new skills.

I started reading, for fun, around 2007. I thank Harry Potter for showing me that escaping in a book is the best therapy. Since that time, I have read more than 500 books. This is one thing I have stayed committed to. I prefer audio books, since I can fold clothes and read at the same time, but I usually have a kindle book I’m reading simultaneously.

I decided to write my own novel when I realized there are not enough books in the New Adult genre. This is my favorite genre, thanks to Colleen Hoover and Jamie McGuire. Once I started writing Shy’s story, I couldn’t have stopped if I wanted to. Sometimes she would wake me in the middle of the night to tell me what the next chapter was about. Writing her story, as well as her horse’s-Walker, was an emotional adventure. I hope you enjoy reading her story, as much as I enjoyed writing it.

heat of his breath blow against my sensitive skin at my neck stroking his
fingers along my shoulder blade. My body reacted making my thighs clench
tightly together.
I tilted my head slightly to the
side in invitation; I was totally mesmerized by him like id been hypnotised,
completely lost in that moment. I couldn’t help myself really. The only
coherent thought I had in that moment, was God, if I’m dreaming please don’t
let me wake up. I wouldn’t want to miss this.

D. A. Keane

Hi all I am just your normal average everyday
mum nothing exciting, I was brought up in Manchester and I am now living in the
beautiful Scottish borders with my three children.

I have enjoyed writing my story as I had a pretty hard upbringing and have
suffered like everyone does over the years in different situations but everyone
has a story to tell.

I just hope my story can help someone out there who is or has been through the
same sorts of situations to myself.

The Last Riders # 6

SHADE

Releasing March 16th, 2015
Young Ink Press

Blurb

Want, need, pain, and joy were emotions Shade had never known existed before Lily. He knew the first time he saw her face that she was going to change his life forever. The thing he hadn’t expected was how hard it would be to hide who and what he was from her. Each step he took out of the shadows revealed more of himself, until only one secret remained. Shade arrogantly believed he could help heal the wounds from her past, but now it was his own past that was trying to tear them apart. To keep Lily, Shade would have to use the very skills he had been trying to hide from her. The skills that made him a killer … a soulless monster.

BLP REVIEW ~ Rebecca

Full review will come in a couple of days as this is a big book, nearly 800 pages of Shade & Last Rider goodness and I`ve only finished it today. I thoroughly enjoyed it, the insight into Shade and Lily from his POV and motivation plus far more depth into the Last Riders themselves was facinating, the third epilogue had me crying, serious sobbing! It was totally and completely perfect just unexpected, adored it. A fantastic addition to the series.

Q&A with Author Jamie Begley (SHADE Tour)

~ First question…have you taken a LONG ass nap after writing SHADE?
I wish, I have one planned as soon as I hit publish March 16th.

~ SHADE has a TON of twists and turns that I never expected, did you always know where the story was going, or did it come to you as the words flowed?

I knew where it was going during Cash’s book, some of the chapters were in my head for months begging to be written, it was a huge relief when the story was finally finished.

~ Can you tell the readers a little bit about SHADE?

Shade starts at the beginning from the point Shade saw Lily, it follow’s their relationship through their marriage. It show’s the real Shade that he kept hidden from Lily, and how he grew to become more human through his love for her.

~ How much fun was it to write a complete book in Shade’s POV?

I discovered that men are as sensitive as women they just hide it better. I do prefer writing from a woman’s viewpoint better because of course I can relate more easily to the feelings a woman would experience versus how a man would.

~ How long does it typically take you to write a book?

A month working seven, sixteen hour days, once I start I don’t stop until it’s finished. I’m pretty much housebound during that period. I was driving to the store one day while I was writing Riot and missed two exits after that I let my daughter do the shopping. Shade has taken the longest to write I’ve been working on it for five months.

~ What is your favorite part of the book to write? A sex scene? An emotional scene? An action scene?

Actually it’s really weird but my favorite scenes to write are the one’s where I’m setting the stage for a surprise or revealing one. I guess at heart I’m a mystery writer.

~ Now that you have finished SHADE (that monster of a book), what’s next?

Right now I’m actually working on two, one is a Predator book, and the other is Lucky’s story.

Author Info

“I was born in a small town in Kentucky. My family began poor, but worked their way to owning a restaurant. My mother was one of the best cooks I have ever known, and she instilled in all her children the value of hard work, and education.
Taking after my mother, I’ve always love to cook, and became pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love the holidays and my family puts up with my zany decorations.
For now, my days are spent writing, writing, and writing. I have two children who both graduated this year from college. My daughter does my book covers, and my son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books.
Currently I am writing five series of books- The Last Riders, The VIP Room, Predators MC, Biker Bitches, and The Dark Souls.
All my books are written for one purpose- the enjoyment others find in them, and the expectations of my fans that inspire me to give it my best.”

Excerpt #1

The cold had been getting to him lately. I must be getting soft, Shade thought wryly to himself. He would have to remedy that soon; he couldn’t afford to be soft.
Protecting Lily kept him on his toes. He had never known a woman could manage to always be in the wrong place at the wrong time as often as her. She needed his skills and strength to keep her safe, and keeping Lily safe was his priority. Without her, he didn’t want to think what life would be like for him or others who would be unlucky enough to be near.
He stomped the snow off his boots before going inside the small office building. It was late enough there wouldn’t be anyone to see him enter.
Making his way to the office of Knox’s wife, he bent over the lock, taking a few minutes to open the door. Then, sliding inside, he made his way into her private office and went to the window which gave him the view he had come to observe.
As he watched Brooke lay her son down in his crib to sleep, in hindsight, Shade thought he should have known Lily would change his life. It had taken two women to satisfy him the night after seeing her for the first time and then hours before he could purge her from his mind until he could sleep. And that had only been the beginning.
Standing in the darkness, staring at the church across the street, his mind played back over the series of events that had led him to that place in time…

Excerpt #2

“Which one did you have your eye on?” Razer asked casually.
“Does it matter? You heard what the sheriff said.”
“Not going to make a move on her, just curious.” A casual shrug couldn’t hide the fact Razer was just as interested in the blond as he was in the dark-haired one.
“Lily.” Shade felt a chill slide down his back as her name left his mouth.
“Cool.” Razer started his bike.
He gave a short laugh. “You don’t stand a chance with her.”
Razer gave a grin. “It’s a small town. Sooner or later, I’ll see her again.”
“And when you do?”
“She’s not underage, so there’s no reason I can’t talk to her.”
“You mean fuck her.”
“You think I stand a chance?”
Shade remembered the furtive look the blond had shot at Razer. “Yeah, but a woman like that doesn’t play like we do,” he warned. “Bitches like that get serious after they get your dick in them.
“I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.” Razer ignored his warning as he pulled out of the parking lot.
Shade started his own bike, thinking he wouldn’t interfere with Razer going after Beth Cornett. Because, despite his best intentions, he did want to see Lily again, and letting Razer pursue her sister just might give Shade the opportunity.

His laughter, it didn’t really sound the smallest bit amused. “Christ. You’re done here.”
“Ah, no. I’m actually not. Now see, this is where we have a problem.” I folded my arms. Then unfolded them because like fuck I’d look defensive. He was the one in the wrong, not me. “You’re not prepared to take me, or my feelings, seriously. What you want is to hide away in Mr. Too Cool for Commitment land and just play with my affections when it suits you. Okay, I’ve accepted that. But none of that means it’s okay for you to come in here and act like you’re the boss of me. None of it.”
“That so?” he asked, leaning down so that we were almost nose to nose.
“That’s so, baby.” I play-punched him in the shoulder, which it should be noted, I barely came up to. Okay, so maybe the alcohol on a mostly empty stomach had made me slightly/lots braver/sillier. “So why don’t you take your little caveman jealous tantrum bullshit somewhere else. See, I do this funny thing I like to refer to as whatever the fuck I want. Understand?”
He just stared.
“And as pretty as you are with your beard and your muscles, you are too damn tricky and . . . complicated and shit for me.”
“I am?”
“Yes, you are. Are you finally seeing my point here?”
“You bet.”
“Excellent. So take your hotness elsewhere, kind sir. I want no part of it!” Huh. I had so told him. Drunken bravado was the best.

MC Series

Synopsis:
Can two broken people put each other back together again?
Casey Stewart has spent her high school years being picked on
and never being enough for her parents. Starting college in Seattle is the
opportunity she has been waiting for to shed her old image and create a new
one. Casey is on the path to destruction. In a year, she has gone from the
loner to the wild child. Can she be saved before she destroys herself?
Alec “Gunner” Foster had a tough childhood. When
his aunt and uncle step in and move him and his mom to Vegas, Gunner is finally
able to be a kid again. Growing up with the VP of the Wayward Saints MC in Las
Vegas, Gunner knew he wanted to be the some kind of man his uncle is.
Dependable. Loyal. Fierce. With retaliation on his mind, can he stay true to
himself and the first girl he’s ever cared about?

Excerpt:
When I finally pull up to the apartment, Gunner comes straight for
my car door and opens it for me. I smile at him, then grab his hand, leading
him inside and straight to my bedroom. Once the door is closed, he pulls me
into his arms and roughly kisses me. I moan into his mouth, running my hands
down his sides, then back up to his chest. Slowly, I pull off his cut, breaking
our kiss. One thing I learned from hanging out with Anslie and her brothers is
that you never disrespect the cut. They represent them and their club. By
looking at their cuts, you learn what club they belong to and where they rank.
I fold it and set it on the chair in the corner of the room.
When I walk back over to him, I notice the look on his face. It is
a cross between awe and surprise. His eyes meet mine before pulling me back
against his body. His hands reach up into my hair, tangling his fingers around
the stands. He gives it a tug and I open my mouth for him, our tongues dancing
together. Backing me towards the bed, he lays me down. Leaning over me, he runs
his fingertips down my body, slowly inching my dress above my hips. His fingers
gently glide up my thigh until he barely touches my blue silk thong.
He sits down on the bed and pulls me up to straddle him, his
erection throbbing against my wet panties. Reaching my hands inside his shirt,
I can feel how solid he is. I unbutton his shirt and pull it down his muscular
arms. His hands grip the bottom of my dress, tugging it up and over my head.
Groaning in appreciation, his eyes take in my body. I lean down and kiss him
roughly, my hands wandering down his chest and landing on his belt. I undo it
quickly and unbutton his jeans, tugging them a bit to let him know what I want.
He rises up a little and I push them over his hips. He rubs me up and down his
length and I wiggle my hips.

He starts to chuckle, but doesn’t stop me. He turns and moves us
both up the mattress. “Beauty, you got anything to play with?” I
smirk. What girl doesn’t have a toy? Maybe Anslie, but I will make sure she
gets one soon!
I nod and, with a shy smile, point to the drawer on the other side
of my bed. He grins and walks over to the drawer. Watching the way his ass
flexes when he walks, I just about come undone. His back is
broad and toned, and I want nothing more than to lick it. I
watch him pull out my bright pink vibrator and some lube. He also finds my mini
bullet and brings everything back to the bed with him. I look at him with one
eyebrow raised and he just smirks. Taking the mini bullet, he gets down on his
knees. Kissing up my thighs, he pulls me closer to the edge of the bed. Slowly,
he rubs the mini bullet over my panties, then pushes my panties to the side and
turns it on. He slides it into my core and I can’t help the moan that comes
out. His fingers are rubbing my nub, making me wetter by the minute.

Excerpt

I run my fingertips over the blue-and-silver paintwork as I walk toward the back end. Bending over, I start poking around, taking a look at the engine.

“Please tell me that you’re my birthday present.”

The Irish drawl has the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end.

I turn my head to find Carrick Ryan standing behind me.

Oh. Wow.

He’s definitely better looking in the flesh than on television. I knew he was attractive. But blonds aren’t usually my thing. I’m more of a dark-hair-and-dark-eyes kind of girl.

But his dirty-blond hair, blue eyes laced with sin, and full lips—the kind of lips you spend hours sucking on—and that chiseled jaw decorated with stubble…yep, it all seems to be working for me. Well, my body anyway. Definitely not my head. Man-sluts are not my thing.

My eyes meet with his as he lifts them from blatantly staring at my arse. The look in them hits me straight in the gut, surprising the hell out of me. His eyes are profoundly blue and filled with heat. My skin starts to prickle as his intense stare burns me up.

I’ve never had such an instant visual reaction to a man before.

Fuck.

Take it easy, Andi. This isn’t a problem. You’ve met good-looking men before. You can turn this off. Drivers are a no-go area, especially ones you work for.

My job is too important to lose over a man.

Straightening, I turn to face him.

“Hello,” I say in my most confident and formal voice.

I get nothing back, and that’s because he hasn’t heard me. He’s too busy staring at my breasts.

Typical man.

I have the sudden urge to punch him in his handsome face.

But I won’t because I’m a professional. I’ll handle this in the best way I know when it comes to dealing with pervy dickheads like him.

“It’s your birthday?” I say sweetly, my smile a little on the flirtatious side.

He grins. “It sure is, and it’s definitely looking up now that you’re here. Are you going to make it extra special for me, sugar?”

He thinks he’s about to get lucky.

Far from it. Smarmy twat.

I tilt my head to the side, keeping the flirty smile on my face, as I walk up to him until there’s very little space between us. I press my fingers to his chest. God, that’s firm. I can feel the ridge of his muscles underneath my fingertips.

He’s tall, too, a good few inches higher than my five-nine. I’d say he’s six-one, which is tall for a driver, but he’s lean. He needs to be to fit into those cars. I bet, under those clothes of his, there’s nothing but toned muscle. Drivers have to be seriously fit, and Carrick Ryan certainly ticks that box on both counts.

Now, I’m imagining him naked. Great. Just fucking great.

I force my focus back to the now. “Well…” I lean in closer to him, hearing him suck in a sharp breath. I lower my voice as I whisper, “If you ever call me sugar again, you won’t see your next birthday. That’s for sure.”

He tilts his head back in amusement. “Feisty. I like it.”

I take a step back, dropping my hand from his chest. “There’s nothing here for you to like.”

His eyes run the length of me, lingering on my legs, the lusty look firing in them again. “I see plenty to like. Jesus…your legs go on forever.”

I wish I had something to hide my legs behind. Instead, I fold my arms to bring his focus up. “I’m not your type.”

Lifting his eyes back to mine, he gives me a confident smile. “Amazing arse. Great stems. Awesome rack. Beautiful face. Yep”—he nods—“you’re definitely my type.”

EXCERPT :

It’s crowded, but since it’s a weeknight, it’s not nearly as packed as usual. Since I’m about to lose my bull riding virginity I’m thankful for the slightly smaller crowd. As promised, Mike goes first but the ride operator isn’t as gentle on the men and he flies off pretty quickly. I think he might have wacked his balls against the hand hold on his way down. He winces a bit as he gets up.
“You okay?” I ask him, giggling, but I’m truly worried about his man parts.
He pulls me in close, his breath caressing my ear. I’m holding my breath as he whispers, “I think my baby makers are broken.” I laugh as he places a kiss on my cheek. “Good luck, baby, now go ride that bull like you’d ride me.”
He says it loud enough for everyone to hear and if I thought I was going to go deaf from the music before that was nothing compared to the whooping and hollering of the crowd. Of course the ride operator uses it to his advantage “What’s your girl’s name?” he yells across to Mike.
There’s a devious gleam in Mike’s eyes as he replies “Jessica, but all her good friends call her Jess.” He nods that he’s got it and after I’m straddled onto the bull, he holds nothing back.
“Alright, everyone, let’s hear it for our new friend Jess! Now, we all heard her boyfriend tell her to ride our bull like she rides him at home, so I think we’re in for a show.”
My cheeks were already flushed from the alcohol, my palms sweaty from nerves, but the embarrassment zinging through me makes my entire body burn. I catch Mike out of the corner of my eyes, laughing and shrugging his shoulders in a semi apology. At least he had the decency to not give my real name.
The bull starts off nice and slow, periodically gyrating a few times in a forward motion, but I’m able to hold on with just one hand. I don’t really know how long this goes on, maybe a minute or so, when I hear the announcer tell Mike over the PA system that he’s a lucky man. At this point, he’s done being nice and the bull starts bucking around like crazy. I’m able to hold it together for about another thirty seconds or so before I go flying off.
Someone helps me to my feet and I stumble over to Mike as the crowd starts chanting ‘kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss’.
Hell, at this point what does it matter? Mike’s eyes seek permission from mine as I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him close. He kisses me and the crowd goes wild. It’s just like the kiss we shared in my bed a few days ago—a little more than just friends, but not exactly like lovers. Whatever it is, I allow myself to feel it and the crowd cheers their approval.

When Shaw offers to release him if he can recover a kidnapped child, Michael works with every ounce of his being to put the pieces together before all the witnesses are murdered.Meanwhile, police Inspector Sabrina Vaughn–the woman Michael passionately loves but has been kept from seeing–discovers the body of a little boy that bears a striking resemblance to the missing child. Against all his instincts, Michael must draw Sabrina into his life as one of the world’s most notorious assassins if he’s to overcome the legacy of his bloodthirsty past.
Sabrina’s heart slammed into her throat. She unsnapped her holster as quietly as she could, and shot a look over her shoulder. Strickland had seen it too. He drew his weapon and nodded. She lifted her SIG P220 off her hip and took aim at the curtain.
“SFPD—I know you’re back there. Come out with your hands where I can see them,” she said in a tone that gave little doubt as to her intent if her command wasn’t followed. No response, just the slight flutter of the curtain that told her that who or whatever was behind it was still there.
“I said, SFPD. Come out—”
A pair of feet appeared, nothing more than the tops and toes. They were small and pale in the steady beam of her flashlight.
Holy shit. It was a kid.
She changed tactics, softened her tone but still held firm. “It’s okay, you’re safe. I’m a
police officer—it’s okay to come out now,” she said but didn’t lower her gun. There was a chance the child behind the curtain wasn’t alone.
Small feet shuffled closer and a hand peeked out from the split between the curtains. The opening was pulled wider to reveal a white face—dark, vacant eyes and a sharp nose set in a face that was painfully thin. Equally thin shoulders and torso appeared as the kid moved forward slowly. Just like the dead boy upstairs, he was naked.
“Are you alone back there?” she said. The kid didn’t answer, just stared at her with
those empty eyes. She motioned the child closer. “Come here, it’s okay.” She looked at Strickland and tipped her head in the direction of the curtain. He nodded and moved forward, gun raised.Sabrina reached out and latched onto the boy’s arm, pulling him toward her. The second her fingers made contact, he went crazy—swinging and shouting in a language she
didn’t understand.
She dragged the boy clear of the curtain. He fought against her grip, screaming and
flailing, while Strickland did a sweep of the room behind it. He came out a few seconds later. “Nothing. Just a mattress, TV and another camcorder.” he said over the din of the boy’s screaming. “What the hell is he saying?”
She shook her head and looked at the boy, saw his face, white and stretched thin with terror. He wasn’t speaking English but his fear was obvious. “Shhh, shhh—it’s okay. We’re here to help,” she said, hoping her tone would convey the message her words couldn’t.
The boy darted away from her, nothing but a pale blur as he bolted toward freedom and she started after him, pounding up the steps, Strickland two strides behind her. She reached the top of the stairs and saw him running down the darkened hallway, darting this way and that.
“Stop him,”
she shouted, hoping the uniform at the front door would be quick enough to
catch him.
The boy cut to the left and she followed, through the living room doorway. He saw the uniform, blocking his way out and he darted to the left again, cutting across the room to the other side of the house. Toward the room where the dead boy probably still lay stretched out on the floor.
“Don’t go in there,” she said, even though he didn’t understand her. He disappeared through the doorway seconds before she reached it. She skidded to a stop, blocking the
doorway. The coroner, Mandy Black, hunkered down next to the body on the floor
but the whole of her attention was concentrated on the boy who just burst into the
room. He was crouching in the corner furthest away from the doorway, knees drawn tight against his chest by arms so thin and pale they looked like twigs, bleached white by the sun.

He started rambling again, eyes, like miniature black holes, aimed at the body on the
floor. She started to cross the threshold but Mandy threw up a hand and shook her head. Sabrina stalled out mid-stride and watched as Mandy stood, crossing the room on slow and steady feet. She said something in what sounded like the same language the boy was speaking and as if Mandy had thrown a switch, he stopped talking.

Sabrina watched and listened. Mandy got closer and closer, still speaking the strange
language in a low, easy tone that seemed to sooth the boy. It sounded Slavic—maybe Russian. Strange coming from the woman crouched on the floor. She must’ve asked him a question because the boy nodded, eyes suddenly flooded with tears. He started to speak again but his speech had lost its hysterical edge. Mandy got close enough to reach out and touch him but she didn’t. She kept her hands at her sides, shaking her head as she crouched low and slow in front of him. She kept talking. The boy kept listening.
“What. The. Fuck,” Strickland said behind her. “Coroner Barbie speaks gibberish.”
“It’s not gibberish, dickhead. It’s Russian,” Mandy said without looking up.
She felt a prickle, like electricity dancing along her skin. What was a Russian boy doing in an abandoned house in San Francisco? One that had obviously been held against his will?
She looked away from the boy crouched in the corner to the one dead on the floor.

“Ask him if he knows the victim,” she said.
Mandy spoke quietly and the boy answered, shaking his head. “No. He said he’s never seen
him before.”
Sabrina studied the boy on the floor. He was small and blond. She entered the room and
squatted down next to the body. She peeled back a lid and looked at his eyes. They were milky but she could see enough of the iris to know they were light in color.
She stood. “I need some air,” she said, brushing past Strickland on her way out the door. She could feel him watching her and she silently urged him not to follow.

She didn’t need air. She needed to call Ben, because there was a very real chance that she’d just found Leo Maddox.
