It should be the perfect place to shut out the world and shun love. Under no circumstances should she want anything to do with the ruggedly handsome Finnegan Starrycard.
Finn is a growly, self-proclaimed bachelor for life. He’s the local handyman. That’s what it says on his business card. And this handyman has deemed her cabin to be uninhabitable.
Out of options, she can’t say no when Finn offers her his spare bedroom while he makes the necessary repairs to her place. Two love-haters under one roof sounds ideal until a boozy night leads to an agreement. Roommates with benefits. All physical. No feelings. And heaven help her! This handyman works magic with his hands, his tongue, and his . . . well, you get it.
She cannot fall in love with Finnegan Starrycard—or the picturesque town, or his endearingly quirky family. Still, the longer she stays, the harder it is to ignore the chemistry between them.
In Starrycard Creek, the locals say love is always in the cards.
Hailey would like to think she’s done with love.
But thanks to one grumpy handyman, love might not be done with her yet.

Sasha Pierce has always been inspired by the heart-warming relationships in small town romances. She loves to dive into the intricate worlds the characters inhabit and the towns that are as much a character as the people themselves. If not writing, Sasha is either on an adventure or curled up with an old-fashioned and a good book… sometimes both.
That was what she’d been told about herself for nearly her entire life.
From a young age, she knew what it was like to be hated. To be loathed so much by a person that they literally resented the air you breathed.
For her entire childhood, she fought to live, despite her father’s constant effort to make her life a living hell.
Her sisters and brother have no clue what kind of closet psychopath their father really was, and she’ll die before she ruins their picture-perfect view of him.
Why? Because she’s already broken. There’s no fixing this kind of damaged. But there’s no reason everyone else needs to suffer, too.

From the moment Hannibal Peters laid eyes on Hades Singh, he knew she was the one.
That was why he ran.
That was why, when he saw her suffering, he couldn’t stay away.
BLP REVIEW – Tracy
Hades, oh Hades….. I honestly wasn’t looking forward to her book but Lani broke my heart with our FMC’s story!!!
When you find out what she’d been through all her madness and weird ways made sense and then kinda made me wonder why none of her siblings had ever asked her about what was going on or why she acted the way she did….. not that she’d likely have told them….. but the gal could have done with empathy rather than the sort of apathy everyone had towards her at times.
Hannibal was the perfect person for Hades. He saw her and he got her. Once she was in his orbit he was never gonna let anything bad happen to her again. They were quite the pair and their attraction and connection made them hot as, well, Hades!!!!
There was a fair bit going on in this book and the story moved at a pace.
Thoroughly enjoying this series and cannot wait for more from this circus family!!

Synopsis:
Noah Westcott should come with a warning: Too Hot to Handle!
The man is stunningly handsome with his embracing brown eyes and lips that make me want to kiss that smirk right off his face.
How could I resist?
Spoiler: I didn’t.
That was my first mistake.
I blame him for the second. It should have been easy and fun. No strings attached. No feelings. As if he commanded it like he did me in the bedroom, I did exactly what I said I wouldn’t. I fell for him.
Two years later, the same man walks into my life. Again. A lot has changed. Not his devastating good looks, or that smug grin, but for me everything.
Now that Noah’s back—in my office and hanging around after hours—I can’t get distracted. I must protect my secret—the one who calls me Mommy.
Excerpt of Forgot to Say Goodbye:
As soon as I walk in, I’m struck with glaring hazel eyes and pursed red lips. She sits forward in my chair, resting her elbows on my desk. “Did you really think you’d waltz into this company like nothing happened between us?”
“I didn’t waltz, sweetheart. I was recruited. Let me break that down for you. That means—”
“I know what it means.” She stands, her fingertips whitening from the pressure against the desktop. “I don’t need you to explain anything to me.” Coming around, she adds, “Here’s what’s going to happen. Tomorrow, you’re going to quit.”
“Quit?” I struggle to keep my eyes from bugging out. She won’t get the best of me . . . like she once did. I approach the desk, and volley right back, “You’ve got a lot of nerve to tell me how this is going to play out.”
“It took more than nerves to make it to where I am in this company.” She comes around and pats me on the chest. “Sweetheart.”
I catch her hand before it slides away. She double steps back, which brings us face-to-face. “I’m not quitting to make you more comfortable. If you remember—”
“Oh, I remember.” She holds my gaze with her glare. “I remember everything despite spending two years trying to forget that night altogether.”
Forget that night? Why the fuck does she even care when she was the one who walked away? “So let me get this straight. You sneak out in the middle of the night, but somehow, I’m the bad guy? That’s rich, Olivia.”
Her eyes dip to the bond between us before she yanks her hand away. She also makes sure to get a last dig in by poking me in the chest. “Say my name while you can, but make sure it’s on the way out the door.” Her fake smile falls as fast as her face did when she saw me in the conference room.
How the fuck did this turn into a war in the office?

Darling Ranch. It was a family name in this town, a family business and a family way of life.
Over the past year, the place hadn’t felt like family, or home, and I was barely staying in business.
My wife had died from an aneurysm while pregnant with our first child. It happened one morning while I was out in the field tending to the animals. The doctors told me it wouldn’t have mattered had I been by her side, the outcome would have been the same. Still, I beat myself up. My best friend and neighbor, Gabe Bentley knew this. He let me mourn my own way, but now he’s pushing me harder than ever.
“What’s the rush?” I asked him one morning.
“I’m being deployed. I need to know my sister and the farm are taken care of….by the only man I trust in this town…you.”
I’d known the army was recruiting again but I didn’t know he’d been called upon. I also didn’t know Cadence was back in town. I really didn’t know if I could be the man, the friend, the rancher that he needed me to be.
What I did know?
No matter how much it pained me, I’d try to do whatever it took to make sure that I didn’t let Gabe down.
Then I saw Cadence and for the first time since my wife died I actually thought I could heal. She made me feel alive, made the pain go away. So why did I feel so guilty? One minute I was longing to hold her, the next I was pushing her away, until I finally pushed too hard and sent her running.
I didn’t want to fail my best friend, and I didn’t want to fail Cadence. We all needed our Christmas wish and I decided to do whatever it took to make sure we got it.
We both grew quiet as we looked out over the farmland. I’d help my friend, he knew it. I owed him after everything he’d done for me. There wasn’t much more to say. Gabe knew I’d been struggling. That was why he’d been here daily since Ella had passed—to check on me. He may not know that I noticed, but I did. I couldn’t get mad either. He was being a friend. The friend I needed.
“Are you going to be okay?” he questioned.
“What do you mean?”
“If I leave, are you going to be okay?”
I leaned back in my chair and nodded. “Do I have any other choice? She’s been gone for over a year. It’s time that I pick up the pieces and move on. I know you’re worried. It’s written all over your face, but I’ll be fine.”
“I know. I just feel like I’m abandoning you in your time of need. It’s just…”
“It’s just you have to do this for you. I get it, Gabe, I really do. Why do you think I do nothing but work? It’s my way of coping. This is yours.”
“I just wish your way of coping had changed.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” I asked, emptying my beer.
“Oh, I don’t know, perhaps you could cope by, getting involved with a woman. A relationship may do you good.”
I looked off into the distance. “Nah, I don’t think so,” I muttered, getting up and returning with two more beers. The last thing I needed right now was to have a conversation about my personal life. Gabe should know better than to start on me about dating again.
“Sorry man, I just thought that it may help you cope with things.”
I passed him another beer and sat back down. “Now I’ll do what I can to help you out, but you say you are trying to figure something else out? Care to shed a little light on that subject?” I asked.
“I’m heading out to see Cadence, to see if I can convince her to return home. If she does, I know she’ll need help. Our farm is twice the size of our grandparents’.”
First, he started with my personal life and then he mentioned Cadence in the same sentence. He better not be thinking what I thought he was. I took another mouthful of beer and cleared my throat.
“You aren’t suggesting that Cadence and I…”
Gabe shrugged and sort of smirked as he tipped the bottle back.
There had been a time that I’d had a crush on her, but she gave no hints. Then Gabe made it very clear to me and some other guys at school she was off-limits. In fact, I remembered him muttering something about the bro code after he gave another kid in town a black eye for hitting on his sister. After that, I knew better than to think about touching his sister, as did every guy in town. I enjoyed having my balls intact. Since I hadn’t been willing to ruin our friendship, I pushed my feelings to the back of my mind and gotten involved with her friend Ella.
“Cadence, from what I remember, can look after herself,” I muttered. “She’s looked after your grandparents’ farm just fine with no help from anyone. She doesn’t need my help.”
“Yeah, but it’s different here. More moving parts, bigger operation, and I’d just feel better knowing that I can count on the only man I trust here to be there if she needs something,” Gabe said, looking at me.
I chuckled.
“Please, Connor.”
I hated seeing my friend beg, but at least he was begging me and not some woman who would only slap him across the face when he got close enough. I drank back the rest of my beer and nodded my head.
“Fine. Let me know once you figure it all out. I’ll help her for a bit, but once Cadence is all settled in and things are going well, I’m done.”
*Please note all books can be read as standalone, but recommended you read all the books in the series.*

From the New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster comes a funny, sexy romantic comedy featuring a twice-divorced, stressed-out romance writer who finds out that sometimes true love can be a hot mess.
Who buys a cottage in a New England fishing village on a whim? A stressed-out, twice-divorced romance writer and single mother looking for a fresh start, that’s who. Despite what my besties say about my three-year dry spell, I’m not looking for a man. Or drama. Or sex. I’ve got enough on my plate with writer’s block and a daughter who refuses to grow up. Community. That’s what I need. Unfortunately, it seems the universe has other ideas. Either Chatemup, Massachusetts, has a serious shortage of single women, or I’ve become a hot mess magnet for the male species.
At least I’ve found one funny, good-hearted friend: fish peddler Declan Miller, my brainstorming adventure buddy who stirs my creative juices. I’m his Writer Girl. He’s my Dimple Dude. Just scruffy, granite-chested, deep-voiced, ex-military brawn who happens to be—oh, Nicole, what are you doing to yourself?—stoking a long-neglected fire without even trying.
A self-confessed hot mess, divorced single dad Declan is too old for relationship games. Not interested. Same here. So why do I keep thinking about him? Preferably naked. Because I’m a hot mess, too? At least he’s inspiring me to write. If only real life were like one of my novels. At least then I’d have a better idea of how this was going to end.
Hot Mess Summer is published by Montlake Romance and will be available in paperback and audio formats at all book retailers, and exclusively in digital format for Kindle and Kindle apps. Download a free Kindle reading app here: http://bit.ly/FreeKindle_App1
Stayed up through the night to finish – I was at 79% and could not put my kindle down… This read is possibly my fave book to date from Ms Foster!!
Nicole and Declan have my heart. This was a journey of growth, understanding and self love. Nicole hasn’t had the easiest of time and she needs to think about herself for once. Declan has everyone else on his radar, but his own life, that seems to be buried under regrets and worries about so many other things. Our couple both learned a lot about what they needed and wanted and I loved that they finally stood up for themselves.
I loved the friends Nicole made over her summer and I’m hoping that there might be another story or two around some of the supporting characters.
Declan’s family were great, as was Nicole’s mum and her best friends but the gods, her daughter drove me to distraction!!
This book had heart, love, fabulous banter, laughs, connection, a great sense of family and belonging and SO much heat….
D’you think I might find a hot fish peddler on the East Coast of Scotland?! 🤔😉😙
A definite for my re-read list. 5 Hot Mess stars!!!

Excerpt:
Our lives, Van’s and mine, are intertwined in so many ways. From the time he joined my silly little garage band to the day we took our friendship to the next level. Everything we did, we did as a team with people around us and now those people depend on us. Reverend Sister isn’t Van’s or mine, it’s ours and only works together if we’re in it together and right now I don’t want to be anywhere near him.
By the time the tears start to fall, and I mean really fall, I’m halfway home, and my phone is ringing with Van calling. The alerts are going off like crazy because the paparazzi are relentless and insist on snapping pictures of people. And when they put them online they add the most ridiculous headlines, except these, are spot on and tell people about my impending breakdown. It’s coming. I can feel the gut-wrenching ache, my heart being ripped out of my chest and every muscle and bone in my body in pain. The takeover is slow and almost alien-like. I can feel it in my toes, moving its way up my legs. It’ll take some time for my brain to really figure it out. For the light bulb to go off that my marriage is over.
