I loved Adrienne & Caden, they were each what the other needed. Neither one of them was looking for much more than an itch scratch and a bit of fun but circumstances and friends had them thrown together more than they expected and in the process they became friends, who then became more when things changed due to an unplanned pregnancy.
I liked how organically their friendship developed. They liked each other, had fun just spending time together and they were probably more alike than they realized to begin with. The pregnancy changed their relationship but by this point their feelings for each other were also developing.
I’m sad to see this series end but Ms Lacey gave us a fantastic extended epilogue where we caught up with the ‘old guard’ and saw just how their lives were going. As always I adore catching up with the B&BC OGs and the rest of their found family and friends. Seeing how their lives have changed and how far they’ve come has always fab reading but knowing this was the last time we’d be checking in with them was bittersweet!
A hands-down 5* read and one I’d definitely recommend.

My favourite genre is PNR - yep, more than happy to admit that I’m a bit of a #parawhores...... but small town is a very close second!!! In saying that, I’ll read and review a real mix of genres - from the better known authors to new-to-me authors and everything in between.
