I LOVED Wickedly Yours. I’ve never read anything by Jennifer Chipman prior to this but I’ll be checking out her backlist and will definitely be reading Spookily Yours to find out more about Damien and Willow.

Zain was a demon obsessed and annoyed that his fated mate has not yet been brought to him…… I enjoyed reading about his decision to go find her himself and how they met and formed a connection was a fabulous.
Ok, IRL if I found out a guy was gonna kidnap a gal and force her to marry him that’s a whole shed load of red flags and a call to the local police would definitely be in order but, here in fiction world, there’s just something about Zain’s determination and need to find Luna that has me rooting for him from the get go.

It was lovely watching Luna bring light and love to Zain’s darkness and giving him the strength he needed to deal with all that was going on in his realm and make things better for his people.

Luna was just a gorgeous soul. A witch who didn’t trust her magic so lived a pretty normal life. Watching her grow and learn what she was capable of was great.
I liked how she thought things through and her reaction to what Zain was and where he was from wasn’t all over the top drama. How she wanted to help him and brought out emotions that he thought he was unable of feeling made her the perfect mate for the demon prince…. the fates were right.

The supporting characters were fun and had me laughing quite a bit.
I do love a really good paranormal book and this hit the spot from the start.

A definite 4.5*

Another really fun instalment in this new series from Erin Nicholas writing as Erin Nicolle.

Cian has always been the younger brother of Fiona and Torin that I least expected to be serious or truly invested in anything. Well, Rags to Royals definitely made me rethink all of that!

Cian met a woman who turned his life upside down, spent a wonderful weekend with her then, with only a first name and no way of finding her, lost her for two years
He’s been thinking about her ever since and hasn’t been able to let go of the dream of a possible future with her. When he is suddenly put in the position of marrying someone else – because his grandfathers’ wish to unite two families keeps falling apart – it becomes imperative that he find his ‘Scarlett’ to see if what he remembers about them together is real.

Turns out Henry, his best friend and bodyguard has been keeping some big secrets from him that turn out to be everything Cian wants.

Ruby is a single mum to a teenage girl – I loved Mariah – who is trying to right some wrongs from her younger years and can’t see that she deserves a life with a good guy, never mind a prince! Living back in her home town with her daughter and twin sister, she has no idea just how much of an impact she had on Cian in the short period of time they spent together in the past, though she hasn’t forgotten about him, the connection they had and how he made her feel.

Following Cian as he tries to convince Ruby that what they had that weekend they had together could be their future was a great read. Loved that Mariah was all for her mum giving Cian a chance.

Ruby’s father was a piece of work and his antics were definitely neither godly nor righteous. Couldn’t wait to see if he got his long overdue comeuppance!

This series is becoming as big a favourite of mine as the Boys of the Bayou and I’m now waiting, as patiently as I can, to find out what’s going on with Henry and his lady.

BLP REVIEW – Tracy

Vaughn was a little bit of an enigma previously in the series. We knew he was a lineman and gone more often than not. He did intrigue me, I’ll admit, especially his reaction to Valentina the first time he saw her in Get Baked.

The thing about V is that he was a guy was just waiting for the right woman to cross his path before he got serious, he just didn’t realise it. Val hit him like a ton of bricks and brought out his protective, patient, caring side.

Valentina….. the gods, I loved her strength and her concern that she was swapping one situation for another until she realised that Vaughn was there to support and care for her, not hold her back.

I liked the time they spent together, getting to know each other and the trust that she showed him after everything she’d been through. He, for his part, listened to her, got her like no one had ever tried to in the past and helped her find herself.

Always enjoy catching up with the gang and liked the relationship Val had with Gabby. It definitely felt like a blooming sibling relationship and it was lovely that Val had so much support and so many people looking out for her – even when it came to Vaughn, though she knew herself enough to know what she wanted where the big brooding bloke was concerned.

I’m now really intrigued with Nolan and his situation. Can’t wait for his book!!!!
