Barrett Grant is wild AF with hips he knows how to use, and he’s also eleven years younger than me…
Gabby
Get Baked is the culmination of every dream I had as a twenty-something. A dream my ex-husband stomped like a bug beneath the tip of his expensive Italian leather shoe. When I left with nothing more than my dignity and a vintage stand mixer I found at a thrift store, all I wanted was to be happy. Promised myself I wouldn’t settle until that happened.
Years later, it’s finally happening in the small town of Broken Falls, WV. My dreams are coming true, my happiness is so close I can reach out and touch it.
But my secrets? They won’t stay buried forever. Especially where Barrett Grant is concerned.
Barrett
I messed up big time with Gabby, the hot, older, owner of Get Baked. I had no business swiping right if I wasn’t going to take our relationship and her feelings seriously. When I reacted badly to a waitress who questioned if she was my mother, I should’ve let it go.
But I didn’t, and now I can’t. Not when I miss the f*ck out of her, and lost a year off my life the night Get Baked was broken into. This time, I promise myself, I’ll give us the shot we should’ve gotten the first time.
If only she gives me a second chance.

Barrett is book three in The Broken Falls Series: a series of interconnected standalones following a group of friends who have become family in small-town West Virginia, and the women who bring them to their knees. You do not have to read them in order, but each book builds upon the relationships of the last.
BLP REVIEW – Tracy
Barrett & Gabby’s second chance was a great story.
You knew from previous books that there was an attraction and that something had happened… finding out just what was interesting.
I understood Gabby’s concerns. She was older, they had the nonsense from Barrett’s mum previously and ex that she was still concerned would pop back up to ruin her life.
Barrett was great. He couldn’t stop thinking about Gabby and didn’t want to give up on them completely, was more mature than some other guys older than him and was all in for open communication and working to get the second chance at the relationship they both wanted.
I liked that Gabby had put what she wanted to do first, even when it meant that she was on her own and had poured all she had into getting Get Baked off the ground but she deserved to be happy and her younger man was determined to make that happen.
The addition of Valentina to Gabby’s inner circle had me interested in Val’s story and the path her life would take. As ever, the gang was present and helped out where and when necessary to make sure that Barrett and Gabby had the future they both deserved.
Loving this series and can’t wait for the next book, Vaughn has me intrigued.

My favourite genre is PNR - yep, more than happy to admit that I’m a bit of a #parawhores...... but small town is a very close second!!! In saying that, I’ll read and review a real mix of genres - from the better known authors to new-to-me authors and everything in between.
I hope you enjoy the posts and that they might lead you to some ‘new to you’ authors.
Thanks for stopping by.
