It was supposed to be just for kicks…
Andi Larsen learned early on there is no such thing as fairy godmothers. A childhood spent in foster care will do that to a girl. She’s working her way through night school and is on the cusp of establishing her own business without help from anyone, thank you very much. But when her deadbeat ex steals her identity, amassing a staggering debt in her name, her fairy godmother appears in the guise of a spunky, Fireball whisky-wielding septuagenarian. The older woman’s solution for Andi? Tie the knot with a kilt-wearing, moody jock whose legs look sexier in a skirt than hers do.
Declan Fletcher never intended to be a place-kicker for a professional football team. But fate had other plans. Exiled from his beloved Scotland a decade ago, Dex is now a superstar athlete known throughout the league as the “Man with the Million Dollar Leg.” But when a mix-up in his immigration paperwork threatens to send him home before the season begins, he’ll do anything to avoid deportation and facing his greatest mistake. Even if it means marrying a pink-haired waif of a lass with eyes that seem to see everything he’s determined to keep hidden.
A grumpy cat, nosy teammates, and a sizzling sexual attraction make their marriage of convenience anything but convenient.

EXCERPT
Married.
The very word gave him the bloody shakes. A loving companion, a family, happiness. Those weren’t in the cards for him. Not after he’d taken all that away from Niall.
Too bad his agent’s wacky mother didn’t know that.
“Problem solved.” Mrs. Hilbert punctuated her declaration with a saucy wink.
Her companion, on the other hand, remained wide-eyed and mute. Blue eyes, the color of the cornflowers in his gran’s window boxes, studied him overtly. Potent arousal flickered within their depths before she quickly doused it. Not surprising. He was used to that look from women.
What did surprise him was the swift crackle of awareness that traveled up his spine when their gazes clashed. This woman was so far from his type it was almost laughable. Slim and petite, with a slender chin and pixie-like ears to go with her doe eyes, she was more like one of those wee highland fairies his little sister was always searching for in the garden, right down to the pink hair pulled back in a loose ponytail.
“Actually,” Kurt was saying. “That’s not a bad idea. It could work.”
Dex opened his mouth to object, but the fairy beat him to it.
“Whoa, hold on just one minute.” She jumped from her seat. “I came in here for legal advice.” Those blue eyes grew even wider as her gaze frantically darted around the room. “Sure, my situation may be a little dire, but not dire enough to marry some dude who’s aged out of a boy band.”
Not dire enough to marry who? What the bloody hell did she mean by that? Someone needed to inform the little pixie that women had actually proposed to him, thank you very much. And what was this bullshit behind her ‘boy band’ insult?
“What did you just call me?” he demanded.
She gestured to his plaid. “Halloween is two months away, Jamie Fraser. If you’re not in a boy band, what’s up with the skirt?” Her eyebrows went up a fraction. “Unless you work at one of those strip clubs. In that case, no way am I marrying a man who spends more time getting waxed than I do.”
A low growl escaped the back of his throat as he took a step closer to her. “How many times do I have to tell you Sassenachs? It’s not a bloody skirt!”
“Fireworks already.” Mrs. Hilbert clapped her hands together with glee. “This is going to be one passionate marriage.”

BOOK BLURB

From bestselling author, Dr. Rebecca Sharp, comes a sexy, neighbors-to-lovers romantic comedy…

Ryan Finan needed a change of scene.

No more warmth. No more wooing. No more women.

Needing to get over what the last woman did to him, he’s fled to Michigan for the winter.

A secluded cabin, a wood stove, a bottle of scotch, and guaranteed solitude are all he needs… until Winna Madden recklessly collides into his path—and other parts of him. With her fresh beauty, captivating awkwardness, and far too much talk of freshly jerked meat, Ryan struggles to give his temporary neighbor a necessary cold shoulder.

Having lived in this neck of the woods all her life, Winna knows the gorgeous recluse isn’t prepared for a Michigan winter—nor for the kinds of harsh truths it brings. She’s determined to be a good neighbor—no matter how much he grouses.

As temperatures plunge, their walls tumble down faster than the snow. Soon, the only thing left is a wild desire burning between them.

But Ryan’s stay always had an expiration date. When it arrives, will he walk away? Or will the warmth he found with Winna tempt him to stay?

dumpster fire
noun

1. an utterly calamitous situation
2. mismanagement for the ages
3. something very difficult no one wants to deal with
4. Rob Hansen

Rob was single.

That hadn’t been the plan. But it turned out that his plan wasn’t immune to car accidents. It couldn’t stave off death, couldn’t stop bad things from happening.

Now Carmella—his wife, his best friend, the other half of his heart—was gone. And she’d been gone long enough for the tendrils of loneliness to creep in, for him to risk dipping his toe back into the dating world. The only problem was that dating was a hell of a lot different in this world than when he’d been in college.

He wasn’t good at apps and profiles, his banter skills were rusty, and his flirting . . . well, some might say it was atrocious.

Then came high, high heels.
Then came a sharp voice with an impressive repertoire of curse words.
Then came a woman who was definitely not Carmella . . . but who might be the possibility of something more.

RELEASE BLITZ – Hot Stuff by Max Monroe

Hot Stuff, an all-new laugh out loud romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Max Monroe is available now!

Have you ever seen a fireman who’s so insanely sexy you’d actually consider DIY-ing a little at-home arson just so he’d show up at your front door?

Dramatic, I know, but hear me out.

Chiseled hot body, bright blue eyes, and the sexiest smile I’ve ever seen, the first time I saw Garrett Alexander in my exam room, it took everything inside me not to do something crazy like mount him during his yearly physical.

Not only is he a total babe, but he’s charming, hilarious, and the kind of single dad that would make your ovaries explode—the total freaking package.

I know you’re probably wondering, What in the heck are you waiting for, girl? Go get yourself a fireman!

But, see, there’s one teeny-tiny (read: huge) problem—if we got together, we’d have to keep our relationship a secret.

I know. Who even am I? Some heroine in a freaking forbidden romance novel?

Let me guess, now you’re probably thinking…Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Don’t do it, girl. Don’t fall for the sexy, off-limits man. It’s not worth it.

Well, too late. I already went and did it.

And I have a feeling this fire of ours is going to go up in a big, mushroom-cloud-worthy, ball of figurative smoke.

Excerpt

“I’ve spent a lot of my evening researching your boss, and she’s dangerous. I think her corporate structure is sketchy, too. I think there’s a good chance she’s under some kind of investigation, and you’re going to get dragged into it. Is there any way you could take a couple of weeks off?”
It was the conclusion he’d come to. He would feel safer if she didn’t go back into that building again.
She shook her head. “I can’t. If I leave, I leave my research behind, and I’m close. If I prove my processes can work I’ll be able to hire on anywhere, and that would be remarkable at my age.”
Well, it was the answer he’d expected. “I want you to keep your eyes open and call me the minute you feel like anything’s weird. Trust your instincts.” He let out a breath and admitted the answer he’d come to. “I’m going to let Kyle go in with you tomorrow.”
“Good, because I have it on the highest authority he was going to take that job anyway.”
It was good to know he was in charge. He closed the screen of his laptop. He should go to bed and let her have some peace. She had to be at work early in the morning. He would lay on her couch and stare at the ceiling.
He was about to stand when Noelle beat him to it. “Hey, you didn’t get your prize.”
“Prize?”
“That’s kind of what you wanted, right? I’m supposed to give you something for opening up to me.”
“I wasn’t thinking about it as a prize, though I can see where you would.” He wanted to explore this thing between them, and having her talk to him or tell him something important about herself would do that. But he wasn’t going to push her. “You don’t have to if you don’t want to.”
He was going to go slow. He was going to get to know her and ease into a friendship that could become something more. He had to be patient.
“I want to.” She crossed the space between them. “I want to give you this.”
She had another Red Vine in her hand. He’d wanted something personal from her. Something that would let him know this woman better. He got his own candy back. Story of his life. Still, he gave her what he hoped was a game smile and reached out. “Thanks.”
She pulled her hand back before he could take the candy. It wasn’t even a full one. It was the last little piece of what he’d given her.
“I want you to take it from me.” She licked her lips and put it in her mouth.
He was fully awake now, and about three thousand reasons this was a bad, bad idea went through his head.
It was too soon. She was sheltered and inexperienced. He was not. He had needs that would shock her. She’d literally said she didn’t do weird sex stuff. He did. A lot of weird sex stuff.
He should wait because she wasn’t doing this because she was in love with him. She was doing it because they had wild chemistry and she couldn’t help herself. He should be the senior partner and end this experiment of hers.
She settled on his lap. Suddenly every muscle in his body was tense and waiting to see if she was doing what he thought she was doing.
“Noelle?”
She lifted her face to his, offering that last bit of sugar, and he gave up the idea of waiting.

Maddie:
I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t in love with Nathan Burns. We met when I was six and twenty years later, I love him still. Nathan:
I swear I blinked and my little sister’s best friend—a woman who’s about as off-limits as it can get—grew up. And she’s hot as hell. When did that happen? EXCERPT
To say I wasn’t in a great mood would be an understatement. I went to bed pissed off at my brothers, the production company, and most of the world—and woke up the same way. If not worse.
Although the honey sunning at the side of the pool was a pleasant distraction.
Hello, hottie.
I couldn’t see her face—she was on her stomach with her head turned away from the building, but her body was banging—curvy and plump in that way that got me hard with just one look. Her dark chocolate hair was up in one of those messy buns girls liked to do to keep their hair out of their face. It was easy to imagine it coming down her back in a luscious curtain. And me holding it in a fist as I knelt behind her…
Fuck.
I hadn’t met whoever had moved into the end unit, but it was past time that I introduce myself.
Ducking inside, I stripped down, pulled on board shorts and my favorite pair of flip flops. After grabbing a towel, some book Sabrina had been nagging me to read, and a pair of sunglasses, I shut and locked my door behind me and made for the pool.
I didn’t have any kind of a plan. Didn’t know what I was going to say. Or do. I figured I’d just wing it.
Reaching the condo’s pool, I tossed my stuff on a lounger. Ms. Hottie was in the same place, only now her head was turned the other way, so I still couldn’t see her face. From all appearances, and despite the book next to her, she was sleeping.
I didn’t want to look like the creeper I was clearly being, so I did the only thing I could think of.
I jumped in.
Diving into the deep end, I started swimming laps. My arms and legs moving in a comfortable rhythm. Soothing. After the second lap, I forgot about the beautiful girl I wanted to talk to. After about the fifth lap, I forgot my anger with my brothers. After the tenth, I forgot about my rage against our producer, James. After my twentieth lap, my stomach started growling.
Damn, I was hungry.
Resting my arms against the edge, I panted a little and took a break. My stomach growled again. Or maybe I was done. I needed breakfast.
“I didn’t know you kept up with your swimming,” Maddie’s voice sounded from my left.
I turned my head and because of the quick glimpse of her I got, I lost my grip. I plunged back into the pool with a splash, water invading my lungs.
Ms. Hottie was Maddie.
Maddie.
As in my little sister’s best friend, Maddie.
The revelation looped in my brain as I fought back to the surface. Breaking through, I coughed as I tried to breathe again. I pulled myself up onto deck, splayed out on my belly. But I didn’t stay there long.
Hands pulled against torso, urging me to my side. I blinked, and Maddie’s face came into focus as she hovered worriedly above me.
“Oh my god. Are you okay? Did you hit your head or something?”
I tried to scoff, but it came out a rough cough and forced more liquid outta me.
“Let’s get you into the recovery position. Hand under your head and this leg bent.”
My eyes crossed as Maddie leaned over me, her plump breasts straining against her itty-bitty bikini and only centimeters from my mouth.
When the hell did little Maddie Roberts get a body like that?
Christ, how had I missed all of this?
“Nathan? Nathan, are you okay? Oh god. I’m just gonna run in and grab Hope. She’s taken some first aid classes for the Boys and Girls Club. She’ll know what to do.”
The panic in her voice snapped me out of my haze. “Maddie, I’m fine.”
My wheezing breaths belied my words, but I’d stopped her from racing away.
Although, given the way her tits bounced with only a few steps, I was kinda sad when she stopped moving.
Fuck, what was wrong with me? This was my little sister’s best friend. Maddie firmly belonged in the friend zone. No matter how little her bikini was and how deliciously she filled it out.
Friend. Zone.
Right, my dick mocked as it pressed against my board shorts. I’d like to get friendly with her.
Fuck my life.

BLP REVIEW – Tracy

I really enjoyed the latest instalment of the Burns Brothers series and it might just be my favourite so far……

Maddie isn’t leading the life she thought she would be.. sleeping on a friends sofa and not having the job she’d love is a far cry from where she expected to be at this point in her life BUT she’s doing her best and trying to not be too down when she sees how her friends lives are looking..

Nathan is the brother that always seemed to be less serious or focussed than the others, the short tempered trouble rouser but what we saw of him in Torque was a different version of what I was expecting!!

These two have been around each other for a good while and where Maddie has always been aware of him it’s taken Nathan some time to actually realise her sister’s friend has grown up…. but once he does actually SEE her there’s a definite change to him and he’s all in.

There’s a few things owing on in this book, at least one a thread that’s been building throughout the series and comes to a head here. Maddie and Nathan don’t have the easiest of routes to being together but it’s a good, fun read and I over following their journey.

A solid 4.5* read and I’d definitely recommend it.

Driven to make her books about ‘real’ people; she creates characters who are perhaps less than perfect, each struggling to find their own slice of happy, but just as deserving of romance, thrills and chills in their lives.

Recipient of the ReadFREE.ly 2019 Best Book We’ve Read All Year Award for “Covering Ollie, the 2015 RomCon “Reader’s Choice” Award for Best First Book, “Slim To None”, and Finalist for the 2017 Kindle Book Award with “From Dust”, Freya continues to add to her rapidly growing collection of published novels as she spins story after story with an endless supply of bruised and dented characters, vying for attention!
