What people don’t know, though, is that he’s no hero. He’s the reason his sister is dead, and he’ll spend the rest of his life trying to right that wrong.
Then one split second decision has him coming face to face with Mia Darling. The woman changes his life, making him reevaluate everything he thought he had figured out, and showing him the tenderness he never knew he needed.
Just like always, though, his luck runs out.
When the smoke settles, Mia’s gone, and Tai realizes there’s no way he can live the rest of his life without her. He’ll show her just how hard a bad boy will fight to get his woman back, and he’s not opposed to fighting dirty.

BLP REVIEW – Tracy
SHOCK ADVISED is a fantastic start to the new series from Lani Lynn Vale.
The story was packed with heartache, humour, action and suspense. There was heat, sexual attraction in spades and some totally smokin’ hot down and dirty scenes!! We got both POV which is a fave of mine – I really enjoy reading things from our hero’s side as well as our leading lady!
I fell for both the lead characters. Taima was a really great guy who blamed himself for the loss of his sister even though it wasn’t his fault – my heart hurt for him. I loved how Mia got under his skin – without really trying – and how good she was for him.
Mia, gods, my heart broke for what she went through!! How she got through things showed her strength and character and I wanted things to work out right for her. At times I could understand her thinking and reticence to certain things but I just kept hoping she’d see things as her, much deserved, second chance at happiness.
I loved getting to know a little about the ‘family’ that we were introduced to in Mia & Tai’s story – both blood and friends/colleagues. I haven’t read the Freebirds series but after meeing Tai’s brother Jack and other characters in this book I’m definitely gonna be going back and checking them out!
LLV pulled me in with this story and I can’t wait to read more in the Kilgore Fire series.
I give Shock Advised 5 red hot *

My favourite genre is PNR - yep, more than happy to admit that I’m a bit of a #parawhores...... but small town is a very close second!!! In saying that, I’ll read and review a real mix of genres - from the better known authors to new-to-me authors and everything in between.
I hope you enjoy the posts and that they might lead you to some ‘new to you’ authors.
Thanks for stopping by.
