“I think someone wants to talk to you.” Blair muttered close to me, while grabbing my arm. But it was too late. I was in a foul mood, and there was nothing or no one, who could break me out of it.

“Yeah, but I don’t want to talk to anyone, but you.” I stated proudly.

“Well, I hope I can be an exception.” A voice startled me, and I jumped and turned around to see him standing there. He was standing in front of me, up close and personal, yet again. Johnathan Pierce was here standing next to us, staring at me. Me. “Kathleen?” Blair nudged my side. I looked at her, and she was biting her bottom lip, moving her eyes towards him, desperately trying to break me out of my brain freeze.

“Yes, Blair?” I muttered.

“I think someone wants to talk to you. I’ll get you something to eat for later, okay?” She smiled.

“Of course, sure.” I muttered, and turned back to see he was smirking at me. I reached out my hand to introduce myself. “Hi, I’m Kathleen. Kathleen Toth-Chamberlin,” I stated, he took my hand, stepping closer to me, and shook it while squeezing it softly.

“Hello, Kathleen Toth-Chamberlin, I’m Johnathan Pierce, but I assume you knew that already.” He smiled.

“You shouldn’t assume Johnathan, it can turn into a very bad habit.” I released his hand, and glanced over at the table of tramps, to see them all staring at us.

“Care to join me?” He asked.

“Join you? Your fan club over there looks as though they may be lost without you. Are you sure you want me joining you?” I smiled sweetly at him, as Blair started to giggle.

“Oh, I’m sure I want you… joining me, that is.” He stated quickly, adding that last part just in time, but I caught it. He wanted me? He grabbed my hand and started walking towards the exit door. I followed him, or for use of a better word, I was being pulled by him. We exited the double doors, all the while I’m chanting in my head, don’t believe anything he says… he has many options compared to your one… he is nothing to you… don’t let him make a fool out of you. I wondered where he was taking me, and I hoped it was behind the bleachers. Oh no, wait… no I don’t.

“Johnathan, where are we going?” I breathed. He kept quiet and pulled me along. The halls were empty because everyone was at lunch or class. We turned a corner and came to a stairwell, and he opened the door. He led me down the stairwell, all the way to the bottom, near an old radiator or generator. It looked like a huge motor, and it was fenced in for protection, but the sound while it ran was like a motor cycle running. No one would see us, and no one would definitely be able to hear us. How did he even know about this place, when I didn’t? He just got here today, and I’ve been going here for the last four years.

I turned back to him, and he was staring at me, his eyes darkened, and his tongue slowly licking his lips. I watched his tongue slowly curve to cover his thicker bottom lip, while his eyes devoured my body, and I began panting. I gasped as he pulled my hand roughly towards him, the hand he was still holding. My body smashed into his, and I instinctively raised my hand to push back from his chest, but he wrapped his arm around my waist to keep me in place. We were face to face, our breaths mingling. He smelled so good, and I knew in that moment that I wanted him to kiss me. I had never felt like this and now I knew what it felt like to actually want someone. I mean really want them. “Kathleen?” He whispered, close to my mouth, and I shuddered in his arms, not being able to control my body’s reaction to him.

“Yes?” I uttered, feeling as though the breath was being taken away from me. I closed my eyes for a moment, and opened them to see his filled with desire.

“I want to kiss you, taste you, and claim you as mine.” He muttered, close to my mouth. I gasped, as his words took my breath away, and in the sudden movement, my breasts rubbed against his chest. I could feel the friction, of my now hardened nipples, making me feel sensations all over my body, causing a soft moan to escape me. I balled my hands that laid on his chest, into fistful of his shirt silently showing him how much I wanted him right here and now.

“Oh Johnathan…” I breathed his name, and it sounded almost like a moan. I never heard this tone of my voice before, I could tell that it was laced with yearning.

“Shh…” He uttered. Our lips were so close to connecting, I could feel the warmth of his breath. I could feel the hardness of what was between his legs, as well as the moisture of my panties. I needed this, I wanted this kiss. It would be a first for me, and I wanted it to be from him, right now.

“Who are you hiding from, little bird?” spoken by a sultry voice from behind her. Raven jumped, her hand clasping her chest. She had been sitting across from the Halfway House, just staring at the door. There was some dense forest and a few fallen trees, they had a great pondering seat just out of the line of sight, or so she thought.
“Trying to give a girl a heart attack?” Raven asked as she added some panting for esthetic purposes.
“Wouldn’t you have to have a heart in order to have it attacked?” Samuel raised an eyebrow as he wandered in, sitting on a log a few feet away from her.
Raven’s head tilted in curiosity. What a strange comment for a human to make… unless…Raven thought hard as she looked straight at Samuel. His golden locks of rustic hair tumbling down his back was just dreamy. Raven sighed every time she saw it. Her need to reach out and touch it was almost unbearable. His eyes locked on hers as she grew more and morecurious.
“It would be hard to function without one.” Raven decided to try the ‘we’re all human,’approach, no sense in getting the council’s feathers in a flap over a simple error in judgment.
Samuel spread open his left-hand palm toward her, and with a wiggle of his eyebrows he slanted the corner of his mouth up in a wry smile. He turned his hand, allowing Raven to see the PSE tattoo on the webbing between his thumb and pointer finger.
Oh, good Lord. He’s a para, thought Raven. Trying to ground her thoughts as her hand reached for the solid wood feel of the tree stump. Just a little wiggle of his eyebrows, and I’m already tingling more than a church full of bells on a Sunday.
“What are you?” Raven whispered to Samuel, begging her voice to stay strong and steady.
Samuel chuckled, the sound deep and husky. Leaning forward, resting his elbows on his knees, he said, “I am anything you want me to be, little bird.”
“Anything, huh? Baboon? Walrus? Dickie bird?” Raven’s laugh was not joyful, although her body was betraying her own self-control. Luckily her brain was still functioning as an adult.
“Oh, I got it. What about smoke… be some smoke and blow away on the breeze,” she stated standing up, turning her back on him and beginning to walk away. She said over her shoulder, her voice changing to a solid cold tone as she remembered what was going on at home, “‘Cause I don’t have time to play games, little boy.”
In what seemed like a split second his arms were wrapped around her waist and she was being pulled hard against his chest. Her breath escaping in small, unexpected gasps. Samuel leaned in, his lips barely separate from hers. Feeling his breath tickle her face as he began to speak, so intensely, she could look nowhere else but into his amazing eyes. Lost in the words that now danced around in her head.
“I don’t play games, little bird,” he almost growled. “I became aware of you a decade ago.” His hand crept down to cradle her ass, giving it a gentle squeeze as he pulled her hard against him. “I’ve searched this planet for you. Visiting you whenever I could in our dreams.” Samuel relished in the moment he felt Raven had melted into his arms as he ground against her, her arms wrapping tightly around his massive shoulders. “I don’t play games, little bird.” He lifted her off the ground and instinctively Raven wrapped her legs around his waist. Feeling him under her, sent her body into a dark abyss she feared she might never be found in.
“You are mine,” and with those three little words, his mouth engulfed hers. His hand reaching behind her head, his fingers entwining in her hair as he held her head in place. Samuel’s tongue delved into her mouth, twisting and turning, introducing Raven to a dance she was made to do only with him. Hearing a soft moan from Raven as she threaded her fingers into his long ruffled hair nearly did him over. Knowing he was near his limit, he pulled back to looked into her eyes. Raven opened her eyes slowly. He could see they were glazed over with passion, this was a look he wanted to gaze into every second of every day.
“What are you?” Raven whispered, her lips swollen from an abuse she never wanted to end. Smiling as she felt his chest vibrate with his chuckle.
“My name is Samuel, and I am a centaur. I am your centaur.”

Author Bio

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved to write, poetry, short stories just about anything. My English teachers in school kept telling me I should write and it took me a lot of years to finally get around to it.

I spent too long worrying about failing as a writer before I realized that living with the regret of never trying was worse.

I live in a sleepy country town in Tasmania, Australia with my partner and our three children, who aren’t so little anymore, plus a whole assortment of animals.

Natasha’s Awakening is my first book but I have no intention of stopping now and will continue to live my dream of being a published author. I have just published Taming Eric which is his POV to Natasha’s Awakening.

My interests are writing of course, reading, watching movies and hanging out at home with my family, our six cats and one dog.

About the Author:

We are two thirty-something females, living in Cornwall, England.

We both have full time jobs and manage to squeeze writing in around very busy lives.

Last year we joked about writing a book, and in December we actually started writing! On 12th March 2014 we pressed the ‘publish’ button and didn’t breathe for a whole several minutes!

We have now written four books, ‘Rocking Esme’, ‘Rocking Scarlett’, ‘Rocking Marcy’ and ‘Rocking Ashton’ and we also have a million other book ideas which we are dying to write!

When we first started writing, we didn’t tell anyone- not even our other halves! We decided to tell them about a month before publishing, then about a week before publishing we told our friends and family.

We both love reading, and since buying Kindles, reading has become much more of an obsession and we have both discovered authors we had never heard of. Some favourites are… Jennifer Foor, Aurora Rose Reynolds, Kirsty Moseley, Kelly Elliot, Terri Anne Browning, Diane Chamberlain… the list is endless!

I give her room to maneuver so that she can sit up. Sitting back on my haunches, I watch as she opens the foil packet. Covering her hand with mine, I help her roll it the rest of the way.

“Was I doing it wrong?”

Jumping from my seat I cry out in shock. “What the hell are we doing sitting? We need to go get him out!”

“There’s nothing that we can do until tomorrow,” He answers. “His bail hearing will happen in the morning. I need you to pack so that we can be there.”

Looking over at Sabrina, I try to comprehend what’s going on. “I don’t understand—what? Why would we need to fly?”

“That would be because he’s being held at the Small Towne police department.”
