About the Authors
D.H.Sidebottom
Is the author of over 11 erotic/thriller books on the Amazon Kindle site, including the Heart of Stone series and Room 103 series. The first book in the new Shadows of Sin Mafia series, Fragile Truths, written along with co-author R.M. James, has just been released.
Among other ventures, she also writes the narrative, dialogue and advertising monologues for HyperSloth, an indie games company and their current game, Dream.
She was raised in a loving family with one brother in Derbyshire, UK and grew up with a rowdy group of bikers who she considered her brothers as well as her friends, and who also made school life a whole lot easier. She has a wild imagination that she says is never silent and on occasion, a mind that can from time to time scare the hell out of her.
Dawn is a single mum to three children, aged from 12 to 21, whom she regards as her ‘life support system’…along with coffee, and is awaiting the birth of her first grandchild.
She is an avid reader, enjoying a mixed genre from paranormal and erotica to horrors and biographies. Her taste in music is very eclectic, ranging from The Goo Goo Dolls and OneRepublic to Hinder and Poison and she always generates a playlist for each book.
She is an eager supporter to all indie authors and helps advise, edit and beta for several upcoming writers; however her main love, apart from spending time with her children and writing, is enjoying her friends’ company and figuring out how to remain upright after several beers, which she has yet to fathom.

He inhaled sharply, but said in an even voice. “And I can’t lose you before the greatest fight I will ever wage.”
Redemption. Could I absolve him? I lay in a hospital bed for two weeks. All of it at his hands.
I’d been marred, though the scar on my skin was not the worst damage. It was a reminder of the scar I’d carried inside.
Could he erase that scar? Could he heal a wound one could not see?
I hung my head, losing the fight with the tears that had been threatening to erupt since J arrived.
“I can’t be your light, when I have none.”
We lay on the floor, two damaged bodies searching for the light. J pulled my head into his hands, bringing us face to

“I begged for you. On my knees in the dirt, I groveled to the sky to bring me light. And there you were, at Eight Oh
Eight, staring up at me, even though I knew you couldn’t see through the window. I saw you, though. Elle, I saw you long before you saw me.”
“How could I love a killer?”
“How much pain was worth loving this man?
“Please, baby. Please. I need you. I love you. I can’t go into this without knowing you’ll be here when I return.”
“I’m not sure what to say. I want to tell you I’ll wait. That I’ll be here, waiting like a good girl for you. I want to because I love you. Fuck, I love you.” I turned, finally ready to look him in the eye. “I don’t know where I’ll be. I can’t tell you that. But I can tell you that I love the fuck out of you, and no matter how much I try to stop,” I paused. Fuck this mother fucker. Fuck! God, why was he doing this to me? Angry tears, sad tears, hopeless tears, tears filled with longing fell from my eyes. J caught then with his thumb, but there were too many. They ran over his fingers like a waterfall.
“Fuck, J. I don’t want you to die.”
He pulled me to him, and I inhaled his scent. I’d never be able to smell Acqua di mother fucking Gio again and not think of him. Today it was mixed with the smell of exhaust, like he’d been riding around all night. For what felt like the gazillionth time, I crumbled into his arms. How did two times come to be a number exponentially higher?
“I don’t want to die, baby. I want to fall asleep next to you.
I want to wake up next to you. I’m fighting this war for you. To be with you.”

Garren pushed away from the wall and into the light of the lobby. “Looks like I missed out on a lot.”
Aspen ducked his head and went to his desk to dig around in a drawer. The first time Taylor had sent him shopping for office supplies, Aspen had bought random sheets of kids’ stickers. On the rare occasion Taylor performed child evaluations, a little bribery to bring out good behavior never hurt. Aspen came away with two sheets of fairy stickers.
“Not too much. We’re working on crowns and a new kingdom.” Aspen swerved around Garren, his eyes twinkling. “Do you want a crown?”
Garren narrowed his eyes on Aspen. He put his hands on Aspen’s shoulders to stop him and leaned in to whisper, “That was low. There’s no way I can refuse those pixies. I’m going to end up with a glittery, construction-paper crown glued to my head, aren’t I?”
Aspen looked over his shoulder. “Don’t worry there won’t be glitter on yours. I’ll be the queen,” he murmured with a grin. “So you’ll need to fill the role as king.”
Garren shook his head. “You’re trouble.”
Aspen shimmied to dislodge Garren’s hands. “You just figured that out?”
With a resigned sigh Garren followed him.
“Girls, I found someone else who needs a crown,” Aspen declared, gesturing at Garren.
The tykes jumped up and down. Garren fought the urge to reach out and hug Aspen for giving them this moment of levity even at Garren’s expense.
Aspen held out the stickers, and the enthusiasm magnified until the girls were dancing around the room. “Thank you, thank you, thank you,” the girls chanted in a singsong fashion.
A softly murmured, “Oh my,” came from behind Garren.
Garren turned to yet again see the shimmer of tears in Mrs. Burgett’s eyes, but a smile accompanied the moisture.
Aspen grinned back at her. “I hope you don’t mind. The girls have been fantastic. We’ve managed to make crowns and bracelets.”
“Even for you, Mommy,” one of the twins piped up and ran over to Mrs. Burgett to carefully hand her the items as though they were made of glass.
Mrs. Baker cradled them. “Thank you, Maryann.”
“Becca and Mr. Aspen helped,” Maryann replied.
“And we ate apples and cheese crackers,” Becca added.
Garren looked briefly at Aspen. He’d seen Aspen eating the same things earlier in the week.
“That was very nice of Mr. Aspen,” Mrs. Burgett said with a hitch in her voice. “But we have to go now, girls.”
“Oh,” the girls replied with exaggerated pouts on both their faces.
“Say thank-you to Mr. Aspen,” Mrs. Burgett directed.
Both girls ran over to Aspen and threw their arms around his waist. “Sorry we didn’t get a chance to make your crown,” Becca said.
“That’s fine, sweetheart. I’ll be sure to make a matching one when you leave,” Aspen assured her.
“You need to make two,” Maryann interjected. “One for the big king behind you. That way we’ll know you’re helping rule the kingdom even if we can’t see you.”
Garren wanted to pick the girl up and hug her. Tell her that everything would work itself out and she’d never be hurt again. While it was a possibility if Mrs. Burgett went through with the charges, he wouldn’t make promises he couldn’t keep.
“Thank you, Mr. Aspen,” Mrs. Burgett said. “You don’t know how much I appreciate you taking care of my girls.”
“You’re welcome,” Aspen responded.
Maryann and Becca skipped over to their mom, and grabbed hold of her hands as they exited the office.
Garren stared after their retreating backs. He grimaced at the tattered clothes and worn shoes. His jaw clenched, and he pivoted and stalked back to his office. The lump in his throat threatened to shatter his control of his emotions. He made it through the door, placed his hands on his desk, and breathed deeply. Mrs. Burgett reminded him of his mother.
Aspen lightly touched his back, and Garren jerked around to gaze at him.
“I know you’ll do all you can,” Aspen confided.
“And you?” Garren cracked and cupped Aspen’s face with one hand. “You gave those little girls your lunch and made them laugh. You took away their stress and let them be kids.”
Aspen glanced away. “I did what anyone else would do. They deserve to have as much joy as every other child.”
“You’re wrong. Not everyone would do what you did. I think most would have set them in the lobby and spent the time telling them to be quiet.” Garren had seen that reality time and time again.
Aspen shrugged.
Garren caved and leaned in until his lips were mere inches from Aspen’s. “You are so beautiful.”
Aspen didn’t back away. His breath came faster, and his eyes flashed with that same glow Garren had seen in the past.
“Garren,” Aspen whispered with a thread of uncertainty.
Garren brushed his thumb over Aspen’s full lower lip, and desire zinged through his body when Aspen’s tongue peeked out to trace the path. Garren’s brain screamed what a huge mistake kissing Aspen would be, but at that point he wasn’t being ruled by his head.

I’ve been a huge fan of the BEYOND books since I first picked up Beyond Shame…
As we have travelled through the series the stories have gotten better & better (not to mention HOTTER and HOTTER!)
The anticipation for Beyond Jealousy has been building since I read the teaser at the end of Beyond Pain – and I am ecstatic to report that the story more than lived up to the expectation I had of it!!!!
We’ve all expected Ace, Rachel and Cruz’s story to be HOTTER THAN HELL and jeez, Bree & Donna have outdone themselves AGAIN!!!
Just when you think they can’t possibly top the last book in the series they work their writing mojo magic and pull it out of the bag!!!!
I’m a Jasper babe ~ from the start that hasn’t changed ~ but I’ve always loved ACE… That took a HUGE step forward while reading Jealousy.
Who knew that the sexy, dirty minded, filthy mouthed tattooist could grab my heart as much as he did!!
The guy has got more layers than I’d have thought possible and there is SO much more to him that I ever considered there could be!
RACHEL ~ She’s been getting her sexy on more and more since that mind-blowing scene in Beyond Pain. Our gal is now working the stage at the Broken Circle and is a big favourite with the regulars!!
Even though Eden born, Rae is an O’Kane through and through – she’s strong & feisty and has been nursing a love for our sexy bad boy for a long time, that has, until now never been acknowledged or returned.
CRUZ ~ when we last met him he was setting out on a voyage of discovery with Ace…. Has he been able to leave Eden behind and fully embrace the O’Kane way of life and loving or has all he’s been taught stayed with him?!?! Well….. now’s your chance to find out!!!
Since she broke up with Cruz, Rach has been watching Ace and her Eden ‘bad boy’ get close and has listened to all the dirty whispers & stories about their joint antics!!!
“I know what sorts of games you and Cruz are playing these days.
How come you two haven’t knocked on my door yet? Think I can’t handle it?”“And what do you think you know?” Ace demanded, his eyes snapping open. His hands hit the wall on either side of her head, caging her. Trapping her. “Don’t skimp on the filthy details. You know how I love dirty talk, angel.”
“You’ve been sharing your women.” She leaned closer, her mouth next to his ear. “Is it about pleasure or conquest, Ace? And do you take turns, or fuck them at the same time?”
The arms on either side of her tensed, muscles flexing under ink. “We fuck them at the same time, because that’s what they want. What he wants. Is that what you really need to know? What your city boy’s doing now? How filthy he’s gotten? Because you sure as fuck don’t seem to give a shit about me”
It looked like she was never gonna get what she really wanted, so as you can imagine, I was beyond delighted when it finally seemed like they might now get it together!
BUT….. would that an O’Kane story be that straightforward!!!!
OMG… those KR girls know how to write a a ball-grabber of a tale…
They also know how to take your heart, rip it out, mess with it – more than just a little – and give you it back all fecked up….. Just when you think that you’ve finally managed to nurse your poor, bloody and broken centre back to a good place… BOOM, they go and knock you for six AGAIN!!!! Word of warning – stock up on tissues, ‘cos you’re gonna need them!!!!
We were treated to a load of passion & heat and a ton of hot, down and dirty dirty sex as you’d would expect (YAY!!) as well as loads of action….. Jealousy is full of twists & turns, shocks & surprises, double dealing, mystery, drama and fighting…. Gotta love the way Dallas and his ‘family’ get their fight on!!!
The story arc set in motion earlier in the series is heating up at a pace and the gods only know where things are gonna go next – but, as ever I CANNOT WAIT to find out!
We meet a few new faces – friend (family) and foe. We get back in touch with our favourite O’Kanes and of course have to deal with some of the less than pleasant low life buggers from the other sectors that we’ve already had the misfortune of being introduced to!!!
I’m not gonna tell you anything else – not spoilers or tidbits – this one is best left for you to discover 1st hand!!!!
I’ll leave you by saying that I absolutely LOVED Beyond Jealousy… I got to the end and was as happy as an O’Kane at an orgy and then the girls walloped us with an absolute stoatir of an ending!!! Well, feck me, I DID NOT see that coming!!!!…..
……and so the anticipation for BEYOND ADDICTION begins!!!! Thank the gods we’ve got Beyond Solitude to tide us over in the meantime!!!!!

When a friend recommended the Kit Rocha books and said I would like them she was wrong, I ADORE them. I enjoyed Shame, loved Control, adored Pain and thought nothing would top that one for me . Well Jealousy has tied in first position!!!!!!
Ace and his fine ass, his dirty dirty mouth and mind ~ the sinner captured me from start to finish .
The surprise of the book was Cruz, I liked him yet expected to not care one way or the other. I thought he would be the third wheel to Ace and Rachel but he’s as integral to the triangle as the other two – the rock for them to stand on. There was a sweetness to the relationship between the three of them that was unexpected, it tugged at the heartstrings and tore them apart at points. It’s hot as fuck, panty tsunami time as all the Beyond books are and never disappoint.
The ending left me with my jaw on the floor, totally did not see that coming and as Jealousy was one of my most anticipated reads for Spring ‘Addiction‘ is now one of my most anticipated for the later part of this year!!!
This series just keeps getting better and better with every outing, the world & characters they have created draws you in and you never want to leave……………
