The Vypers (Book #2 Disciples of the Damned) by April M. Reign

The Vypers – Book 2 in April M. Reign’s DoD series – finds Dom contacting and striking a deal with the head of the Vypers – who are a rival gang of the DoD (Dom previously came across Shane and a few of his boys in Book 1!)
Dom agrees to provide vampire protection at certain times when Shane’s gang are moving their ‘mysterious’ shipments – in return, once he’s done what’s needed, Shane will provide Dom with the information he needs to track down Florin.
Should he trust the Vypers – will he get what he needs from Shane? Do the Vypers trust him, even though they need him?
Some secrets, a few new faces, more questions….. The series continues on at a pace. Looking forward to Book 3 and finding out what April has in store next for Dominic!!!!

Review – Beyond Denial (Beyond Series #2.5) by Kit Rocha

Beyond Denial – Kit Rocha

A short freebie (deleted scene from BC?!) from the Kit Rocha girls – released as a ‘bribe’ during the early rounds of the DABWAHA. The short features Ace & Jared (and Rachel).
The events take place during the party Lex organised for the new potentials from Sector 3 and are as hot, sexy and steamy as you would expect from Bree & Donna!!!
Beyond Denial gives us an little insight into Ace and his past, his feeling for & attraction to Rach and sets us up for their story in Beyond Jealousy…
As with the series proper, this short was smokin’ hot and a lot of fun – and, as with the series, if you haven’t read it already, check it out now!!!

Bonus – as well as being able to read on the KR site, Beyond Denial can be downloaded to your Kindle!!! 😀

Review – Mathilda, SuperWitch by Kristen Ashley

Mathilda, SuperWitch – Kristen Ashley

I’m a huge fan of Kristen’s books but when I started reading Mathilda I wasn’t quite sure what to expect….
It’s a bit different from the series that I love – Dream Man, The Three, Unfinished Heroes (and I’m sure the upcoming Chaos series!!) – you know the ones: hot, heavy & sexy – but it’s still a fantastic read. Nowhere near as steamy as you would expect from KA but the romance was still there.
Kristen took a girl who had no idea she was a witch and threw her into the magic world. She chucked in a kooky family, a witch coven, some great & loyal friends, a trendy coffee shop and 2 hot and very competetive ‘bodyguards’.
The plot was really good – there were a few twists and turns, a lot of laugh out loud moments, a few ‘gasp & I can’t believe its’ – which had me a little bit teary eyed – and an ending that set us up for a future book on the life and times of Mathilda and her friends!!
Definitely in the ‘read again’ category…. Check out Mathilda now, you’ll be glad you did!!!
