The only good thing I can think of about being sick……
So, I’ve got a chest infection – started as the flu, but hey ho…… I hate being sick. Don’t like sleeping in the day, do not suit the pale and pasty look (last week I looked like a damned racoon, the rigns round my eyes were so dark!!), I hate not being able to do what I want/need to do when I want to… I’m not the best patient – no patience you see – unless it’s a biggie illness and then things don’t bother me – I can settle myself when I know somethings gonna take an while to be resolved!?!?!
This past week and a half, the only good thing that I can think of about being sick is that I’ve been able to read a shed load of books…. I’ve read about 9/10 books since a week past Saturday… Thank the gods my attention and concentration hasn’t waned too much.
Fingers crossed the new meds I got on Monday will start to acutally make a difference by maybe Thursday and I’ll start to feel like me again….. There may be hell to pay if this gets any worse!! :-\
I’m gonna keep on reading and I’ll have some more reviews and recommendations up for you soon!!!

Review – Dominic: Disciples of the Damned (Episode 1: A Vampire Biker series) by April M. Reign

I really loved this book – Dominic: Disciples of the Damned (Episode 1: A Vampire Biker) is from the new monthly series by April M. Reign. April has got a fabulous way with her writing that makes you feel like you are there with the characters!!
Dominic comes back to ‘existence’ after 200 years to a very different world. He has a helluva lot to learn, not least of all that Vampires are now kept in line by Bounty Slayers!! He sets about getting to grips with these changes very quickly with the help of Palo, an old friend (or was he?!)
Dom has revenge on his mind and the desire to destroy those who lead to his downfall and confinement. With help from Palo, some kick-ass fighting skills and a new set of wheels (in the form of an awesome motorbike) he sets out to track down the main man behind the Disciples of the Damned (DOD)
A non-stop adventure, this book had me at times frustrated at what Dom has had to go through, cheering him on and laughing out loud at some of his actions, reactions and use of modern english.
A great start to a new series. I’m really looking forward to Episode 2: The Vypers – California!!!!
Review – Forbidden Blood by Felicity Heaton
I loved Forbidden Blood. Felicity Heaton writes a killer vampire romance!!!

This book was filled with twists & turns, suspense, secrets, lies and treachery.
This was countered by wonderful main characters, lots of romance, love & passion.
My heart ached for Kearn for most of the book – he had a tragic history, the things he had to endure throughout the book were awful & how he viewed himself was so sad!!
Amber was a great heroine – loving, accepting and understanding – just what Kearn needed!! – but she too had a terrible experience to live through…. I cried much more than I expected to while reading their story!!
So much happened in a short space of time for them – the action was non-stop and Felicity hit us with a few surprise twists which I was not expecting!!!
For me, this is Felicity at her best and I rate this book 5*……. but don’t just take my word for it – grab a copy and see for yourself!!!!
