Review – Covet (VET #1) – by Felicity Heaton
The first book in the VET series, this novella from Felicity Heaton is Fab.
We meet the vampire Javier, who has desired Lilah for the last 2 years, but she is a human bonded to a pureblood vampire.. making her untouchable!!
The story centres on their mutual attraction and developing relationship. Felicity ramps up the heat & sexual tension and their 1st encounter is HOT, HOT, HOT!!!!
We are introduced to this dark erotic world of the VET and meet the other intriguing owners of the theatre.
The story is a fairly quick read but is full of action, tension, a whole host of emotions and is smokin’ hot!!
A great start to a fabulous series!!!
Review – Crave (VET #2) – by Felicity Heaton
Crave is the 2nd book in the VET series by the very talented Felicity Heaton.
In this book we meet Callum who we briefly encountered in Covet. When we first come across him he is in Paris where he has been looking for new performers for the theatre. Usually very focused on work, he has been wholly distracted by a female he saw in a club, this is where we meet Kristina…
The story is hot & sexy, as you would now expect from the series.
Great characters, the storyline fast paced and engaging and we get to catch up with the other owners of Vampirerotique…
This series is definitely hotting up!!!
Review – Love Immortal – by Felicity Heaton
Love Immortal from Felicity Heaton is a fantastic book.
Lauren & Julian’s story was so complex and deep. I got so engrossed in their journey I couldn’t put the book down!!
Filled with great characters, this is an action packed, fast paced tale that pulls at your heartstrings throughout.
I can’t recommend this book highly enough… Felicity has smashed our expectations and given us another outstanding read!!!
Review – Rebecca’s Lost Journals, Volume 1: The Seduction – by Lisa Renee Jones
Following ‘If I Were You’ and in the lead up to the release of the next 2 books in the Inside Out trilogy, ‘Rebecca’s Lost Journals’ will (hopefully) give us some clues as to what has happened to Rebecca and what could be facing Sara now that she’s involved with the gallery and the people associated with it…..
I loved Vol 1: The Seduction. Lisa Renee Jones gives us an insight into Rebecca’s life and a little idea of what & who she was getting involved with. She also introduces us to most of the characters that we’ve met/will meet in the books!!
Can’t wait for Vol 2: The Contract, to see what other secrets we can gleam from Rebecca’s Journals!!!
Review – Death’s Angel – by Heather Killough-Walden
Death’s Angel, book 3 in The Lost Angels series by Heather Killough-Walden is Az’s story!
The book was absolutely fabulous!!!! Emotionally, I feel like I’ve been put through a wringer but jeez, it was SO worth it!!!
Heather has outdone herself! I thought hard about what to put in my review but nothing I write is gonna do the book justice!!
Death’s Angel is definitely a 5 star read!!!
All I can urge you to do is read it, it’s the best book of the series so far….
Review – Beneath the Secrets Part 2 (Tall, Dark & Deadly #3.2) – by Lisa Renee Jones
Book 2 of Beneath the Secrets was as good as the 1st. More twists and turns – the story is really hotting up!!
Love the heat & sexual attraction between Blake & Kara.. but will they be able to trust each other?
Lisa left us wanting more, as ever…. Damn, that woman writes a great cliffhanger!!
Looking forward to the next instalment in the series!!!
Review – Talson’s Wait – by Marie Harte
Great read – fun, sexy and hot as hell….. What else would we expect from Marie…. the lady knows how to write a story!!!
Wish I’d read the Talson’s Temptations series before now…. Enjoyed TW so much that I’ve bought the other 3 in the series!!
Review – Dhellia has a Conscience – by April M. Reign
Dhellia Has a Conscience’ is the fabulous new book from one of my favourite authors, April M. Reign.
Dhellia Hunt is a brassed-off, kick-ass, red-headed fire-cracker who just happens to be the Princess of Hell. Having had enough of living under the constant watch of her father, Satan, she escaped his clutches for three months. During her time ‘upstairs’ she led her fathers hellhounds & minions on a merry dance around the world, before finally ending up back in Hell to face his wrath.
As you would expect, Satan is none too pleased that she ran away in the first place and things aren’t looking good for any future forays out of ‘downstairs’.
As Dhellia’s future starts to look increasingly bleak, her brother & protector, Damien, steals her away and, with the help of 2 of the unlikeliest allies imaginable, hides her in the safest place he can think of.
Having once again escaped the grip of Hell, Dhellia has to learn to live with her new house-mates and finds herself in the unexpected position of having to find herself a job (seriously, whoever heard of a princess having to work?!).
She ends up employed by a law firm – it is here, during her first week in the job, that she meets the mysterious and breathtaking Mr Sable. What is his secret, why does he affect Dhellia so much and what is his interest in her?
Dhellia, along with her new friends – Jonas, a vampire who is allergic to human blood (yeah, really!!) and a statistics mad wizard called Gavin – & her dark, brooding half-demon brother are an interesting, if eclectic, cast of characters who take us on a laugh out loud, fun & adventure filled journey that has a cliffhanger of an ending….. I can’t wait for the story to continue in book 2, Dhellia, Quest for The Keys
Review – Bewitch (VET #5) – by Felicity Heaton
** NO Spoilers**
Bewitch is the 5th book in the ‘Vampire Erotic Theatre’ series by the very talented Felicity Heaton.
This is Payne’s story and, unlike most of the books so far, the setting for this story was away from the theatre and our usual adored cast of characters. This however, does not detract in any way from the book – if anything, it gives the reader the chance to fully get to know and understand Payne without being distracted by the other hunky vamps he works and lives with (though we do get to see them all again during this story – phew!!)
Payne is on a mission to help Andreu & Chica (Varya) and he needs the assistance of someone in the fae world. This is where he encounters Elissa, who is a witch. There’s an instant spark between them and throughout the story we view the development of a relationship between the 2 – trust on both parts, or lack of it in this case, is a big issue. Ever so slowly, we discover what has happened in Payne’s life that has led to him being the man he is today…. This is truly an emotional roller coaster ride……..
My heart broke for Payne, and I admit I shed a few tears (more than once!) I just kept hoping that things would work out right for him. He is such a troubled, dark and broken man……. but you get the impression that there is much more to him that will only be seen if he finds the right lady to trust and give his heart to!!
Elissa was sassy, funny, caring, big hearted and engaging…. she is a bit of a lost soul too I think, but we begin to understand what she’s all about as the tale unfolds.
Bewitch is hotter and a fair bit darker than the previous books in the VET series have been. There’s a whole lot of physical attraction between Payne & Elissa. The story also includes well handled, hot as hades, BDSM scenes. We encountered a lot of passion, suspense, a touch of humour and a lot of fabulous verbal interaction between the 2 characters – there’s some great comments and more than a few tremendous one-liners….
I thoroughly enjoyed the previous books in the VET series and Payne’s book was no exception…. but I honestly think it’s better than the rest…. Felicity never fails to deliver and she has outdone herself with Bewitch…. I highly recommend the book and give it a 5* rating!!!
I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review…..
