OMG….. this book was sooooooooo good!!!
Funny, sweet, banter filled and SPICY AF 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

So, I really did not like Riggs when we initially met him in the last Boston Blizzard book and I could only hope the C.L. would change my mind about the hot-headed baseball player!
Well, our lady author outdid herself and did indeed change my opinion, so much so, that I found myself rooting for him from early doors!!!

This pair were hot and veerrryyy spicy from their first encounter.

Monroe was a genuinely good person who had grown up with a lot of privileges but she seemed to have been considered more of a pawn than a person by her parents and she was determined to life life in her own terms. She had no idea who Riggs was the night they met, she was just looking for a little release before she settled in to the next stage in her life but he gave her one helluva memorable night.

Riggs’ needed control in the bedroom but had never met someone he felt safe and comfortable enough to let loose with until his night with Monroe. She was a game changer for him and her abruptly departure after their explosive night was unexpected.

I got why Monroe bailed as she did and I also understood Riggs’ reaction when he next saw her.
Monroe’s reaction on seeing him where she least expected was, IMO, very much out of self-preservation but both their attitudes set the tone for their hate-ship going forward!

This pair…. they needed each other more than they realised.
Riggs needed a reputation makeover and Monroe needed a breather and time to work out her next career move.

Although this started out as an agreement to smooth things over for Riggs, this pair meshed so well that living together changed their opinions and attitude of each other and changed the direction of their relationship.

They say the line between love and hate is a very fine one and that was certainly true for our kinky couple.

I adored how Riggs treated Monroe once he got his head out of his butt and began to realise how special she was. He showed such a caring, sweet, considerate and protective side that was slightly unexpected but really adorable. His kink was off the charts hot and I loved how he cared for Monroe afterwards.

I really thought Tanner had me all hot and bothered when I read QB Keeper but Riggs had my heart-rate spiking big time… IN THE BEST WAY!!

I’m looking forward to more in this series, though if C.L. Rose writes those stories any hotter I’m gonna have to read them sitting in an ice bath! 🥵😈
